At night, in a large workspace, Gustav read the file and soon the phone rang, leaving Gustav's focus distracted.
“Master, Miss Lisa already occupies the apartment purchased by you,” Jerri said from across the phone in a limp and gasping voice.
What makes Jerri sound breathless? The answer is of course because all day he was overwhelmed to handle Miss Lisa who did not want to receive an apartment gift.
To the extent that Jerri was suspected of being a fraud. However, in the end Lisa wanted to occupy the apartment purchased by Gustav after seeing the apartment directly following the ownership letter in her name.
Upon hearing the report from Jerri, the tip of Gustav's lips pulled upwards forming a faint smile.
“Good job, Jerri. Make sure Grandma never knows about Lisa.”
“Good, Mr.”
After the phone was turned off, the door of the study was knocked on and several maids entered with food trolleys.
The waiters served steaks and salads which were Mr. Gustav's favorite meal. They did not notice the look on Gustav's face that was shriveling with annoyance.
“Who told you to present this?” ask Gustav ketus.
The servants were confused and looked at each other in wonder. They lowered their heads in fear of answering.
“Jawab! Why are you quiet?”
One of the servants ventured to answer even though his head remained bowed staring at the floor.
“Sorry, Sir. Isn't this Mr. Gustav's favorite meal.”
“Yes, but I was having no taste in eating this food,” Gustav pointed to steak with a glance.
“J-so what dinner menu does Mr Gustav want?” the waiter asked back.
“I want boiled yams,” says Gustav briefly.
Making the servants lined up look at each other with astonished gazes. Did they hear wrong? Rarely did Mr. Gustav eat with boiled yam.
While Gustav who saw his servants were silent, immediately swung his hand across the table and made the servants jerk in shock.
“What are you waiting for? Quickly prepare the boiled yam! I wait in five minutes the boiled yam is already in front of me.”
“I-iya, fine, Mr. Gustav,” replied the flamboyant servants.
In the next instant, the servants ran out of the study and Gustav only clucked in annoyance, then resumed his pending work.
After the waiters' departure, Gwen entered with a look of astonishment from the moment she met the waiters running towards the kitchen.
Gwen sat before Gustav who did not look at her and did not care about her existence.
“What's with the waiters?” tanya Gwen pointed towards the door. “Why looks rushed?”
“It doesn't matter to you,” says Gustav Ketus.
Gwen took a deep breath trying to be a little patient with Gustav's cold demeanor on anyone, including her older sister.
As brothers Gustav and Gwen often quarreled when they met. However, they will miss each other if they separate.
Moreover Raphael, the son of Gwen, was very close to Gustav. It made Gwen feel devastated when she found out Gustav had disappeared.
“What are you doing here?” ask Gustav without looking at Gwen because she was putting a signature on the file she was reading earlier.
For a moment Gustav's hand stopped. He turned to Gwen at a glance and threw a glance at the other file.
“I don't know. The two-man problem, I leave it to Gordon to handle it.”
“Gordon?” gwen frowned. “You're sure Gordon can handle it?”
Gustav shrugged and casually replied, “Why not. Gordon's our cousin. I believe he can find the villain.”
Before long the waiter entered while carrying a boiled purple yam that was still reflecting hot steam. They put it on the table between Gwen and Gustav.
“This is his dinner, Mr.”
Gwen's face frowned, glancing at Gustav and the boiled purple yam alternately, then her hand moved to take one piece of yam.
He examined the boiled sweet potato with the look of disbelief from a Gwen.
“Is this not wrong? You eat boiled yam?”
“You want? Just try it, it tastes good.”
Gwen opened her mouth, hesitated a little, then undoed her intention to eat the boiled yam that was in her hand.
“This is harmless right?”
Gustav only pulled one end of his lips into a grin, then grunted softly.
“Try it.”
One bite, there was doubt on Gwen's face. But that doubt slowly turned into an inexplicable twinkle of an eye as Gwen continued to chew.
“It's delicious,” said Gwen after the food inside the mouth slid in the esophagus.
Then Gwen reached out her hand wanting to pluck again the boiled purple yam that was still warm. But the hand had not touched the yam, Gustav first pulled the plate into his deck.
“This is mine. If you want more boiled yams, ask the waiter to make it for you.”
Gwen clucked in annoyance. Without saying much, he decided to get out of his sister's study.
After Gwen, enter again Gordon who was shocked because Gustav immediately kicked the table. It was Gustav who cast a sharp glare at him.
“Can't I work without being bothered by you guys?” jolt Gustav frustrated.
“Sorry, Gus. But I want to convey important information. I've found two people who tortured you.”
Gustav turned his head quickly to Gordon who was now approaching him.
“Good. You've interrogated them?”
Gordon shook his head with a flat expression. Gustav snorted and stood up.
“Why?”
Gordon stared intensely at Gustav's green-eyed bead.
“Because of them..”
