The Love of the Unknown Man

The Love of the Unknown Man
17. Recall

Edgar boarded the city bus to get back to the contract. Incidentally on the bus, there were not many passengers and Edgar chose to sit by the window while looking at the scenery along the way.

Somehow Lisa's warning disturbed her mind and made her wonder who she was.

Then, Edgar heard a whisper coming from behind. He turned his head and found two men wearing hats.

Edgar again chose to throw a glance out the window. However, again he heard the two men behind him whispering to each other.

Edgar remembered the message from Lisa to always be alert to everyone around him. So he tried to glance at the two men secretly.

“This time do not act rashly or the boss will be angry big.”

“Good.”

That conversation that Edgar could hear at the same time made him straighten his back.

Once again Edgar turned his head, coinciding with the two men who were also looking at him. Making their sight meet, Edgar's head was suddenly attacked by a throbbing pain.

Over time the pain in Edgar's head turned into an unbearable pain like being stabbed by a knife when he saw the man's face.

Edgar bit his lower lip and rubbed his forehead, trying not to groan in pain.

“What is this? Why is the face of two men in the back like no stranger to me?” Edgar asked himself a question.

Then, the bus conductor who saw Edgar bending over and looks to be holding back the pain also walked closer.

“Hai, young man, are you okay?” ask the conductor whose hair has been covered with gray hair.

To answer Edgar felt unable, his head really hurt like he wanted to break. He could only shake his head in response.

But of course the bus conductor did not believe. Because Edgar groaned in pain while squeezing his own hair.

Like a piece of film playing fast, Edgar saw a flash of shadow when he was beaten in a dark room.

At this time Edgar's hands trembled and the sweat had soaked his forehead and one dried feather was sliding unimpeded down his chin.

Two men behind Edgar stood up. One of them patted the bus conductor's shoulder.

“He's our friend, Sir. Its alright. He just had a little headache.”

“Ya, better just drop us here,” said the other person.

“Do not!” screech Edgar suddenly.

He looked up his head, stared intently at the two who had claimed to be his friend, then trembling, he stood up.

Now Edgar remembered who the two men he had been with had been. Edgar's index finger pointed at the two men in turn.

“They are not my friends, sir. But they are the kidnappers,” exclaimed Edgar in a loud voice and made the attention of all the passengers pointed at him.

“He remembers us, James,” whispered Billy who was terrified and directly stepped on his feet by James.

“Shut!” hiss James.

James and Billy had everyone furrow their eyebrows and believed Edgar's remark that they were both kidnappers.

The men on the bus moved to catch James and Billy, who now both seemed to be in the fog.

However, James moved quickly by seizing a young girl from her mother's arms. Then take out a dagger from his pants pocket.

James pointed a knife at the corner that made everyone freeze.

“No one comes near or this boy will I stab!” james threatened everyone.

The girl in James's arms cried as well as the mother who had bent her knees asking for her son to be released.

“Stop the bus!” billy shouted commanding the bus driver.

I don't want the bus driver to obey Billy's orders. He was afraid that the two passengers would commit a crime against a small boy.

The atmosphere inside the bus turned tense. Everyone was silent - no one made a sound except the cry of the boy who kept calling his mother.

James and Billy walked towards the door by continuously dragging the little girl and brandishing a dagger.

“Cowards, don't run away!” shouted Edgar who took one step forward.

However, Edgar's movements were suppressed by the bus conductor.

“Do not! They carry daggers and can hurt the little girl.”

Edgar only growled in annoyance as James and Billy got off the bus.

“I beg you not to take my son! Don't take my son!” whining the mother who cried and reached out her hand.

James and Billy, who had been walking down the sidewalk, dropped off the little girl, and ran as fast as they could.

Edgar and several other passengers disembark to chase after two James and Billy. While the mother immediately threw a hug on the child.

He showered the cheek of the child with a kiss and held it tightly.

While Edgar must resist the frustration that he lost track of James and Billy because the two men ran very fast at a crossroads.

Edgar clenched his hands tightly revealing his hardened arm muscles.

“Maybe you guys can get away today,” muttered Edgar who then snorted in annoyance.

“You have chosen the wrong opponent a Gustav Green.”
