The Love of the Unknown Man

The Love of the Unknown Man
10. Suction Sand

Lisa kept running across the residents' fields. Lisa's arm was scratched by a tree branch sticking out. However, he did not care about the wounds on his body.

All he cares about is running as far away from Roy as possible.

“Lisa, you can't run from me.”

Roy's voice was still in Lisa's ear. A sign that the man is still chasing him.

Lisa's breath gasped, holding back that there was not much blood coming from her wound, she ran until she did not realize that she had entered the forest.

Suddenly Lisa stumbles over a rock that makes her fall. However, soon he got back up, and with the rest of his strength still he dragged a step steadily through between the trees and the bush.

Lisa no longer runs. He decided to hide behind a large tree trunk.

There Lisa crouched down, held her breath, and looked back. He saw Roy who was circulating the view looking for Lisa's whereabouts.

“Lisa, where are you, Beautiful? Even if you hide, I can hear the sound of your heartbeat,” Roy yells while looking around.

“Lisa!” raung Roy is harder.

In her hiding place, Lisa can only keep quiet, close her eyes, and pray in her heart that Roy can't find her.

Momentary silence. Lisa heard no more Roy's screams or the sound of the cruel man's steps.

Then suddenly, Lisa's mouth was smothered by someone behind her. Lisa tried to rebel. Must be the one who broke him up was Roy. Who else?

However, the more Lisa tried to break away, the more the hand held Lisa's body in her arms.

“Tenace. It's me,” whispered a familiar voice to Lisa.

The girl looked back, and how shocked she was when she saw Edgar smothering his mouth. Not Roy.

“Edgar, you..”.

Edgar nodded his head with his index finger placed on his lips. She gestured for Lisa to be quiet.

“He's still here,” whispered Edgar in front of Lisa's ear.

They both peek and see Roy walking around the bush to look for Lisa.

“I'm sure, he's still not far away,” murmured Roy in an annoyed tone.

Edgar and Lisa's bodies both stiffened as Roy slowly walked towards them. Then Edgar seemed to flinch, and again whispered to Lisa.

“I have an idea, but you better wait here.”

“What do you want to do, Edgar?”

Edgar did not answer. He stood up and ran in the other direction.

“Roy, I'm here,” the screams of Edgar managed to make Roy turn his face with widened eyes.

“You're alive, apparently.”

“You want me dead, huh? Here, chase me!”

Edgar ran which was immediately followed by Roy. While Lisa who was still trembling and limp chose to obey orders from Edgar to wait in his hiding place.

Elsewhere, Edgar smiles with satisfaction when Roy is eaten. He looked back where the man was trying to catch him.

Surviving for a week in the forest makes Edgar memorized the location of quicksand in the middle of the forest. Just a few meters ahead of him.

Edgar jumped with wide strides. He made it through the quicksand, but he fell down and momentarily rolled on the hard ground.

“Aargghh”

Roy's body slowly sank, leaving his head to the chest. He grew even more panicked and reached out toward Edgar with a hearty look.

“Edgar, help me!”

“Do not, Edgar!” the screams of Lisa who had suddenly caught up with them.

Lisa stood next to Edgar, looking at Roy who would be drowned in a few minutes.

Lisa's lips curled a smile when she saw the look of fear on Roy's face.

What a rare sight. Given that the man often put on a fierce face.

“Lisa, I beg you, please help me!”

“Now you beg, after what you have done to me.”

“What do you mean, Lisa? I don't understand,” Roy said pretending that Lisa was feeling sorry.

However, a Lisa can not be fooled just by the look of a face. He picked up a log that was not far from him.

Then using a wooden rod, Lisa pressed Roy's chest so that the man was getting drowned in the sand.

“Tell the truth! Or I will drown you here,” exclaimed Lisa threatening full of anger.

Edgar himself took a few steps back because he was afraid, and did not expect Lisa's attitude to torture Roy. Although according to Edgar, the loan shark does deserve it.

“B-fine. I admit I was the one who slandered Edgar. I hired two cops to tell you that Edgar was a killer.”

“And did you also kill my father?”

“Lisa,” Roy swallow. His lips felt like it was a joke to talk.

“Reply reply!” Lisa screamed while shaking Roy's head using a wooden rod.

“I hit your father while he was in the field just before Edgar came. But Lisa, I did this to get you.”

Lisa screamed hysterically, not expecting the father to be killed by Roy, and foolishly he was consumed by the tricks of the land crocodile man.

“Basic bede**.”

Lisa hit Roy's head repeatedly, making Roy's head bleed, and increasingly mired until now his head is poking on the sand.

“Lisa, stop!”

Edgar held Lisa's hand from behind. However, Lisa did not want to listen, she still swung a punch using a wooden rod.

“Leave it. He should indeed be taught a lesson.”

“Lisa.”

A faint voice from a distance called out to Lisa. Followed by another voice. The sound became clearer and clearer.

Lisa gasps when she realizes one of the owners of the voice is Mr. Doni. Neighbors who are closest to his home as well as friends of Juna.

“Lisa,” cried Doni as soon as her eyeballs saw Lisa and Edgar.

There is a sense of relief in Doni because Lisa is still safe.

The middle-aged man along with several residents ran over, and they gasped when they saw Roy who was about to drown into the quicksand.

“Pak Doni, he who has killed father,” Lisa said in a hoarse voice and full of grief.

Doni just nodded his head. He invites the citizens to remove Roy's body, and bring him to trial.
