Chapter 11 - Knowing the Truth
The next day....
In the afternoon, Dito came to Nadine's residence he fulfilled a promise to take the woman to go for a walk around the city.
Dito took Nadine to the park where the woman's favorite place.
After buying snacks and drinks, they sit watching people passing by with loved ones.
"Yesterday afternoon I accidentally passed Darwin's office and you know what I saw?"
"Yes." Yeah."
"I saw Mitha there, did the two of them actually have a relationship?"
"I don't know, as long as you're friends with Darwin, all I know is that you're his girlfriend."
"I'm pretty sure it was him" replied Nadine.
"Have you contacted Mitha?"
"Not yet."
An hour in the park, Dito took Nadine back around by driving a car.
Dito accidentally passed a house that became cosy.
Again Nadine saw Darwin's car in that place.
"Dito, please stop!" her word.
Dito stopped his vehicle.
Nadine looked back, "That's Darwin's car!"
Dito turned his head, "Yes, right."
"Why is he here?" ask Nadine.
"I don't know either."
"I have to ask him!" Nadine gets out of the car.
Dito immediately prevented it, "Don't!"
"I want to ask you what he's doing here" he said.
"For what? You have nothing to do anymore!" Dito reminded.
Nadine broke her intentions.
Shortly after, a pair of men and women came out of the fence.
Nadine's eyes rounded when she saw her best friend clasping her ex-fiance's hand so tightly.
Nadine hardened her jaw, and she rushed down from the car.
"Nadine, where are you going?" call Dito pretend.
Nadine walked over to the two.
Darwin and Mitha were surprised to see Nadine's presence, both of them released their hands.
"So, is this how you've been doing behind my back?" nadine asked with emotion.
"A.. I. can explain!" answer Darwin.
"Explain what?" ask Nadine loudly.
"Nadine, I'm sorry." said Mitha.
"I didn't expect my own best friend to betray me like this!" Nadine said furiously.
"Nadine....." Mitha wanted to talk.
"When have you been in contact?" asked Nadine in a high tone.
"We had a relationship a year ago" Darwin said.
"What!" Nadine looked surprised.
"Why should you explain it?" mitha whispered in Darwin's ear.
"So, all this time you've been betraying me!" Nadine's eyes glazed over.
"Nadine, I'm sorry!" mitha.
"Enough! You're not my best friend anymore. I hate you guys!" his yell.
Nadine then ran to the car, inside she was crying.
Dito gave a tissue, then rushed away from the place.
"I hate them!" nadine said as he pleased.
"I didn't think your best friend would hurt you" Dito said, driving.
"I have to tell Om Perrie and Aunt Selly."
"Do you want to go back to Darwin?"
"No."
"Then why did you meet them?"
Nadine speechless.
"You better tell both your parents!"
Nadine agreed.

Arriving at the residence of Malik Ikssa..
Nadine hugged Rita when she got home.
"What's wrong with you, son?" ask Rita to worry.
"Darwin, Ma."
"Why Darwin?" ask Malik.
"He's been lying to us all this time" replied Nadine.
"For so long he and Mitha have had a relationship" Nadine replied sobbing.
"Mitha and Darwin are dating?" ask Rita.
"Yes, Ma. Even before you set us up," Nadine explained.
Malik clenched his hand, "Suck!"
"We have to tell this to Perrie, Pa!" said Rita.
"Yes, we've been lied to all this time!" malik.
"That means Darwin knew about the compensation money!" guess Rita.
"Yes, he's been the one who betrayed our daughter!"
That night, Malik and his family came to Perrie's residence.
Once there happened to be Darwin as well.
"Why did you come all these nights without anyone telling us first?" ask Perrie astonishment.
"We did not want to make small talk" Malik replied.
"I mean, how?" ask Perrie.
"His son has lied to us" Malik replied again.
"Lying how?" ask Selly.
"Darwin, are you going to tell me or Nadine?" Malik set his sights on his former son-in-law.
"Darwin, what does Om Malik's question mean?" ask Selly.
"I'm sorry, Pa, Ma" said Darwin.
Perrie and Selly's heart was pounding.
"I betrayed Nadine first" Darwin said.
"What do you mean?" ask Selly impatiently.
"I was in a relationship with a woman behind Nadine" Darwin said.
"So during the relationship with Nadine, you were in love with another woman?" ask Selly.
"Yes, Ma." Darwin bowed.
Perrie then pulled Darwin's collar and made the man stand up. Perrie slapped his son in the face.
"You've humiliated us!" furious Perrie.
"I don't love Nadine, Pa."
"If you don't love her, why should you accept this engagement?" ask Selly.
"I was forced because you liked Nadine so much" Darwin replied.
"But you don't have to do this? Lying to us!" perrie said emotion.
"One more time I'm sorry, Ma, Pa, Om, Aunt."
"We're very disappointed in you!" selly.
"We're going to get all that compensation back" Perrie said.
"No need, I've done it. But our friendship is enough to get here" Malik said.
"Malik, I'm sorry. Not because of anything like this, our friendship is over." Please Perrie.
"I'm really disappointed in your son" Malik said.
"Once again forgive us, what should I do to keep our friendship from ending?" ask Perrie.
"Sorry, Perrie. I have to think again, whether our friendship continues or not. Because I love my daughter so much!"
After the Nadine Family, Selly approached her son.
"Who's the woman who made you betray Nadine?" tanyakanya.
"Mitha, Mommy. I loved her before me and Nadine met."
"Mitha who?" ask Selly again.
"Mitha's Nadine's best friend."
"You're dating Nadine's own best friend, don't you think Nadine's feelings?" ask Perrie annoyed.
"Nadine has become the third of us, Pa."
"You should refuse this match if you love another woman!" said Perrie.
"I don't want to disappoint you, Pa, Ma. I tried to love Nadine, but the money's offer made me end it all." Darwin.
"So, you're the one who slandered Nadine?" guess Perrie.
"Yes, Pa."
Perrie and his wife took a breath, not expecting his son to be able to do so just to end the engagement.
"Mama ask you to decide Mitha!" pinta Selly's.
"No, Ma. I don't want to decide Mitha!"
"Mama still won't approve of your relationship with her!" Selly said firmly.
"Because of that woman you've become a cowardly man!" said Perrie.
"Pa, Ma, I'm sorry. I love Mitha so much."
"If you're still stubborn, don't expect you'll get our treasure!" selly.
"Ma, I'm your only son."
"Because he made our relationship and Nadine's family tenuous!" said Perrie.
"Ma, Pa, I still won't decide Mitha," Darwin said firmly.
"It's up to you, but we still won't approve of your relationship!" Selly confirmed his words.
