The LOVE Of Guardian's

The LOVE Of Guardian's
Chapters 30. The illusion hurts him

“We...will be fine right?”

Alfin fell silent as soon as Kansha finished speaking. The man was a little confused and did not understand what had happened to Kenanga. But if he had to conclude, Kenanga wasn't okay. Women don't usually act like this.

“Jawab Fin!” tugut Kenanga.

“I—“Alfin paused his speech and it made Kenanga's heart beat fast, “Not a perfect human being but I will try hard to make our life happy.”

Kenanga fell silent at Alfin's reply.

“What is enough?” ask Alfin.

Kenanga nodded slowly.

“That's all I want to ask you. Rest up. Good night.” Pamit Kenanga is gone.

Alfin wasn't after him. He just stood quietly observing Kenanga who had already entered the elevator.

The elevator rang, and Alfin went back inside his house.

***

Kenanga went into her house. He passed by Siska who had just come from the kitchen.

“What's wrong with you?” ask Siska confused.

Kenanga. “I go in first.” he said slowly. Then entered his room.

Seeing Kenanga's strange attitude, inevitably Siska was curious. But he appreciates Kenanga's desire to not tell him. Siska could only relax her shoulders and sit on the sofa.

Siska browsed the post on her IG homepage. At first he seems ordinary, seeing one by one the latest uploads of his friends but as soon as he saw Satya's post, the girl was stunned.

In the photo uploaded by Satya, the man is in a fancy restaurant. The man was only taking pictures of himself but Siska was convinced that Satya was with someone. Siska hurriedly called Satya.

Siska tapped her finger at the case of her phone. Then after a long ring, her phone finally picked up Satya.

“Halo.” Satya greeting from across the phone.

“Halo, where are you?” shoot Siska directly.

Silence briefly there, “In restaurant.” Answer Satya.

“Restaurant? What are you doing?” ask Siska again.

“Why ask?” ask Satya without answering Siska's question.

Siska raised one eyebrow, “We haven't broken off, right?”

Silence again there made Siska's feelings grow rumbling.

“Satya?”

“H-hah? What was?” sahut Satya.

“We didn't break up, did we?” siska asked again repeating a similar question.

Satya sounded cleared his throat, “Then what about our quarrel two months ago? You said you wanted to stop.” Satya is serious.

“We've been broken up a lot, this is not the first time.” Reply Siska.

“So?”

Siska wet her lower lip, “So I want us to still be dating.” Stringency.

Satya again sounded cleared his throat and Siska waited for Satya's answer nervously.

“OK. We date again.” break up Satya.

But Siska wasn't smiling at all. On the one hand, he doesn't deny he's happy. But on the one hand, it just gets weird.

“There must be late, right? Just cover the phone and rest.” Satya. Satya does not yet know that Siska has actually returned home.

“Actually I—“ Siska stop. He was worried about having to say that he had gone home while Satya's tone of voice seemed to have no tone.

"Yes?" sahut Satya's.

No-he's just gonna surprise her about her return.

"It's so sleepy. I slept first." sighed Siska. He lied for his plan.

Satya chuckled softly, and it made Siska smile again.

"I told you to sleep. Gih, sana. Don't stay up. You have to stay fit, don't get sick" Satya said.

Siska nodded her head, "That's Satya."

"Bah." Satya replied.

The phone was disconnected. Siska decided to go to her room.

Kenanga had just filed for her two-day leave. For tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. The girl who was about to become a wife had returned to her room and was cleaning her things.

Before long, Angga came. The man smiled slightly as he approached Kenanga. Kenanga just turned her head without interest towards Angga who was giggling indistinctly.

"What's wrong with you? Are you out of your mind?" kenanga.

"Yes, I've been out of my mind since I heard about your wedding." After that Angga sighed slowly. He leaned his back against the edge of the table facing Kenanga.

"But I'm happy with the news. Finally the Lieutenant is not alone anymore." he continued.

Kenanga just grumbled softly.

"Lieutenant." call Angga seriously. Kenanga.

"Regardless of whether it is the result of an arranged marriage or not, you must love each other. Do not let you just think this is just a 'event' that makes your two families happy. Either way you're gonna live it."

Kenanga was silent for a moment. "Is love important?" the question is beyond suspicion.

"Of course."

"Why is it important?"

"Bring it up when the Lieutenant is piloting the ship. You already have the ship, the passengers, and the fuel. Assume your ship has sailed, but it will never move smoothly. Because there's no wheel. Love is like a rudder. Where trust, loyalty and patience are poured into moving the wheel. Just like love.

"So does the Lieutenant love him?"

Kenanga was silent for a moment, "No." he said.

Angga was stunned by that short answer.

"I don't love him. And he doesn't love me either. This marriage is just a vessel for the future of two families. No more and no less." said Kenanga.

Angga shook his head in disbelief, "It's hard to believe you're risking your happiness."

"The most important thing is love, but in our case, the most important thing is to have the same goal" Kenanga said.

"Don't forget to come tomorrow" he continued, patting Angga on the shoulder after which Kenanga took her things and walked out of the room.

On the other hand, Alfin was having lunch with Satya. The face of the man who wants to get married tomorrow is not as bright as that of any bridegroom. His mouth was tangled and looked messy.

Satya watched Alfin's look as she sipped her drink. The man then cleared a small throat.

"You ready?"tanyakanya.

Alfin nodded stiffly.

"Just calm. Don't nervous. You have practiced several times when saying the ijab qabul. Don't worry." comfort Satya.

Alfin sighed softly, "That's not what I'm worried about."

"Then what?" ask Satya curiously.

"Why do you think people should get married?" ask Alfin.

"Why are you asking me who clearly understands no married?" reply Satya tickled.

"Ah right. I wasted my question." said Alfin.

"Oh yeah, yesterday I met Kenanga's housemate." continued Alfin.

"Home friends? You mean..."

Alfin nodded.

Satya surprised. "He's home yet?" the cry did not expect.

"You don't know?" ask Alfin.

Satya hit the table, "Has right, she could have called me last night smoothly. Usually the internet connection there is always disconnected. It turned out that Siska had gone home" he said.

"What did he call you for?" sela Alfin's.

Satya turned, "Why ask?"

Alfin sniffed his chin. "Just curious." she said casually.

Satya was silent. He glanced at Alfin with doubt.

Alfin was irritated, he was clucking a little. "Don't say if you don't want to."

Satya chuckled, "I've been back with Siska again" he said cheerfully.

But Alfin did not react. He looks ordinary.

"You seem to be taught how to react." decak Satya.

"I knew you'd do that. This isn't the first time you've broken up." Alfin said indifferently.

Satya smiled broadly, "Hehe. At first I won't take it anymore especially after our quarrel before he leaves. But after a second thought, no woman knows and understands me better than Siska. So..."

"As far as you are. I won't interfere with your relationship." Alfin cut.

Alfin then glanced at his watch, "I have to meet Kenanga first. I left." said Alfin immediately stood up.

"What do you think this is?" reply Alfin. "Go yes. Don't forget to pay for my food." Alfin threw a sweet smile and after that immediately left.

"Eh Fin!" exclamation Satya. He hops because he has to pay again.

***

Alfin drove his car to another restaurant. After driving for fifteen minutes, he arrived at his meeting place with Kenanga.

Alfin searched where Kenanga's desk was until his eyes found her sitting at the corner table. Alfin stepped foot closer.

"Sir Anggi." said Alfin.

Kenanga immediately looked. "You've come."

Alfin nodded. The man sat in front of Kenanga.

"What's up, brother?" ask Alfin.

"I want to tell you a few things."

"What's that?"

"I'm a person who likes regularity so later I hope we can get to know each other first."

"You mean to be friends?" ask Alfin.

Kenanga flinched, "Friends?"

Alfin nodded with a faint smile.

Kenanga was silent for a moment and nodded her head.

"Friends." he said.

"I didn't expect I'd be a friend of a Kenanga."

Kenanga frowned, "Why?"

"Because it means big brother has already started to open up with me. I can be on par with Siska."

Kenanga raised one eyebrow, "Why carry Siska around?"

"Because your only friend is Siska. And now plus me. I promise to be a good friend." Alfin smiled.

"Give up." replied Kenanga indifferently.

Alfie just smiled.

***

The sound of the apartment door opening. Alfin entered with a tired face. He just came home after the clock showed at eleven o'clock in the evening. I don't know where he is or what he is doing until he comes home that late when tomorrow is his wedding day.

Mother had actually asked Alfin to stay overnight but the man refused and said that he still had to take care of some of his patients before the leave.

Alfin turned on the switch and the light of the lamp instantly illuminated his once-thulled home. Alfin chose to go into his room. But at the door he was stunned to see a large picture frame on the floor. The wooden frame rests on the wall of his room.

Alfin smiled faintly staring at the beautiful portrait within the photo. He walked closer to the picture frame.

Alfin sat holding the big photo. Dive into the beauty of the smile of the lover who has long gone and always missed him.

No words were spoken from Alfin's lips. There was only a faint smile with trembling eyes. The man eventually got up. He took the picture and headed to bed.

Alfin put the photo on one side of the bed, leaning on the head of the bed. After that, he laid his body on the other side. The man's eyes were closed peacefully.

Alfin seemed to have just closed his eyes when he opened his eyes and was in a foreign place. The place was filled with trees whose roots extended out and leaves swayed in the breeze. The trees clenched themselves together, hugging Alfin and the place.

Alfin spread his gaze around. The view seemed limitless and seemed pseudo. The man pinched himself. It hurts.

If this is not a dream, what is it?

A beam of light suddenly pierced his retina. Alfin closed his eyes. The light intensified and strengthened until it soon began to dim.

Alfie opened his eyes. She was stunned when she saw someone who looked graceful in a white dress. Her face looked pale but there was clearly still a great beauty to that look. He's Syafira.

"Alfin." call Syafira. His voice was slow but still. The voice he missed so much.

"Sha-shafira?" Alfin did not believe his vision.

"You-you....The shafira? But you're-you're dead, aren't you?" ask Alfin stammering.

Syafira smiled sweetly. He stepped before Alfin. "I am already dead. But my heart is still alive. Stay with you.

"But I hear you're getting married tomorrow." Syafira stroked Alfin's face gently. His expression looked sad.

Alfin freezes. "No Syafira. Hear me. I can explain it." Alfin said in a panic.

"Oh, it's okay. It's only natural that you're getting married. You have to walk forward even if it's with another woman and not with me."

"But I want to be with you." said Alfin lirih.

Syafira smiled, "Me too. Then will you come with me? We can get married and be together forever."

Alfin's petrified, "Really? How-to? You're dead."

"There must be sacrifice to have a happy ending. I'm your happy ending, right?"

Alfin remained silent. He felt something strange.

"You're dead. We can't be together." ring Alfin.

"Of course it can. Touch me." Syafura took Alfin's hand and touched it to his face. Alfin jerks.

"You're still alive?" shocks shouts.

Syafira shook her head, "But it is proof that we can be together. No matter what the difference is, we can still be together."

Alfin was affected. The feeling of how happy he was to be with a loved woman.

Syafira suddenly extended her hand. Alfin looked at the helping hand in confusion.

"What does that mean?"

"Hold my hand and we will be together as we wish." replied Syafira.

Alfin stared silently at Syafira's outstretched hand towards him.

"Come, Fin. Hold my hand." said Syafira.

Alfin slowly extended his hand. Syafira waited patiently for him. Before long, Alfin's palm reached Syafira's.

Alfin touched Syafira's hand and suddenly...

This is not real, inner Alfin.

Alfie pulled his hand back.

"Fin, why?" ask Syafira.

"It's not real. It's not real. How can we be together when you're dead? It's not real. Alfin wake!" panicked eating.

"Fin, nothing is real in this world. Everything is built from dreams due to impossibilities. But we can. We can be together and fight against destiny. I'm your happiness, right?"

Alfin nodded.

"Then you have to sacrifice for me." said Syafira. "Hold my hand and we'll be together. "

"What will happen if I hold your hand?"

"We will be together" replied Syafira.

"No. What happens to my body?"

Syafira was silent for a moment, "Fin, do you know how much I want you by my side? And I know you want me too. It won't be long, I promise."

Alfin started to wobble back. And Syafira kept grinding for him to hold his hand.

"Come, Fin. Our time is not much." urged Syafira.

Alfin began to stretch out his hand back. Slowly until the distance between his hands and Syafira remained intermittent.

"Come, Fin. A little more."

But suddenly Kenanga's face just popped into her head. Alfin suddenly pulled out his hand.

"Fin, what's wrong?" ask Syafira.

Alfin realized, "No, this is just an illusion. I know this isn't real. I'm sorry Syafira, I can't go with you." Alfin said.

"Alfin, why are you doing this? This is our last chance to be together. You're gonna waste it?"

"No, Syafira. I don't want to. Why would you do this to me?" Alfie was very disappointed.

"I did all this for you. For us. Fin, please. I want to be with you. I want to be your love forever." - Syafira.

Alfin shook his head loudly, "You are indeed my first and last love but we cannot be together. We are different worlds. I don't want to fight destiny just for you." Alfin said.

Alfin suddenly closed his eyes.

Take me back, please.

Then Alfin began to feel a beam of white light hit him hard on his face. It was only short when he opened his eyes again.

Alfin's eyes opened immediately. His gaze caught the ceiling of his room and was not that foreign place. But he gasped when he felt his hands wrapped around his own neck. As if he was about to strangle himself.

Alfin immediately released his hand. He felt overwhelmed by reality. He was almost lulled by Syafira's persuasion and almost lost his life. Although he actually did not know whether it was really Syafira or not. Alfin only felt that the illusion was hurting him.

"Syafira, how can you ask me to kill myself?" lamented pilu.
