“You know about Miracle?” ask Kenanga. He was so surprised that Alfin knew about the organization.
“I didn't know at first either. But there were events in the past that made me know there was a Miracle organization. They're mafia, right? The bad guys?”
Kenanga nodded confirming, “I didn't expect to see them again after three years nothing happened.” His comments.
“What's with three know then?” ask Alfin curiously.
Kenanga turned, “You remember when we met at the hotel?” Alfin nodded. “That's when I was chasing Miracle.” members
“But why did they come here?”
“Entahlah. No one knows where their headquarters are and who the members are.” Fizz Kenanga.
“Means Lieutenant also don't know.”
Kenanga nodded and then she suddenly looked at Alfin, “But why have we talked at length while we never met each other?”
Alfin gasps, “Hah?”
Kenanga folded her hands in front of her chest, then looked at Alfin flatly. “I didn't know you even after the three-year incident. But why are you talking so casually?”
Alfin shook his head, “I don't talk casually.” Rebuttals.
“I'm not stupid. Why do you call me a lieutenant and act so familiar?”
Alfin was instantly speechless, he was shocked at Kenanga's accusation to him.
“I don't act so familiar. And the Lieutenant's call, isn't it because you're a lieutenant? Or should I just call Army Mother if you don't like it?”
Kenanga glared, she immediately turned her head in the other direction. “Forget it.” He nodded while shaking his hand.
Alfin nodded his head.
“But what powder is this?” chirping Alfin was looking through the contents of the storage rack that was nearby.
Kenanga followed Alfin's line of sight, she looked at the powder inside the translucent glass box.
“Heroin?” yangkama muttered unsure.
Alfin widened his eyes, “Heroin? You mean this is drugs?” yells.
“I'm not sure. But considering this room is very suspicious with a lot of blood drying on the floor, it could be this is not just ordinary powder. I have to bring a little for the sample.” Kenanga. He hurriedly stuffed a bit of powder into the vacuum plastic bag that was always in his pocket. After that he also photographed the powder.
While Kenanga was busy struggling with her affairs, Alfin again looked around the room. He tiptoed so as not to hit the dried blood on the floor. He then headed towards a wooden cabinet that was in the corner where he was standing now. And once it's opened...
“AAA!”
Kenanga turned her head when she heard a scream from Alfin. He rushed over to Alfin who was sitting in fear.
“You all right?” ask Kenanga to panic.
Alfin did not answer. His eyes glared in horror with hands pointing at the contents of the closet. Kenanga followed Alfin's index finger and immediately retreated backwards. He was surprised by what he saw.
The contents of the cupboard Alfin opened were the most sinister contents that Kenanga had ever seen. In the closet there are three levels. At the bottom level, a row of transparent glass jars containing a deep red liquid that Kenanga believes is blood. In the second level, a row of human limbs starting from the teeth, tongue and even eyeballs lined up neatly with entered into a small glass box. And at the top level, what makes Kenanga and Alfin most horrified is the presence of several human heads displayed neatly there. In total there are five heads, two of which are female and the rest are male. There was only a head, and his facial features were still there except for his missing eyeballs.
“What the fuck is this?” yang Kenanga horrified. He turned his head to his side, there was Alfin who closed his eyes with trembling hands.
Fearing that Alfin would be traumatized, Kenanga immediately closed the closet. After that touch Alfin's shoulder slowly.
“Open your eyes.” Declared. Alfin shook his head loudly, he was too scared when he opened his eyes, the heads being the first objects he saw.
Kenanga clucked slowly, “Open up. I've closed the closet.” Her speech.
Hearing him Alfin began to open his eyes slowly. His gaze from vague to clearer, Instead of seeing the head piece, in front of him was Kenanga who was staring at him. Alfin instantly exhaled a sigh of relief.
“Why can there be body pieces there? This is a toy factory or execution place?” alfin was still horrified.
Kenanga thought so too. As he expected, there was a secret behind this factory. And the zombie behavior of the citizens and the disappearance of the police and agents must have a relationship.
“Lettan won't photograph it?” alfin asked, he had recovered from his fear.
Kenanga just realized. She quickly picked up her phone but before she took a picture, she turned to Alfin.
“I have to open the closet again. You close your eyes first.” he said.
Alfin happily complied. The man closed his eyes and even his hands covered his eyes. He was terrified because he had only seen such a thing for the first time.
Even though he's a doctor who sees human organs every day. But he is also a human who will be horrified when he has to see the head pieces displayed like accessories.
After making sure Alfin had closed his eyes, Kenanga opened the closet again. He tried to resist the nausea and horror of seeing the contents of the closet. The woman took pictures several times and after she finished, she hurriedly closed them. Kenanga ?shut his mouth because of the almost unbearable nausea.
“Hey, open your eyes.” Tell Alfin.
Alfin opened his eyes. He then looked at Kenanga who was silent.
“What is your inquiry done?” tanyakanya.
“Why?”
Alfin scowls thinly, “I want to get out soon.”
Kenanga nodded her head, “Let's go.” Bring along. Kenanga came out first followed by Alfin.
Kenanga and Alfin walked towards the exit. Kenanga calmly walked in front while Alfin tailed behind. Until Kenanga stopped her steps suddenly.
“What's up?”
“Shut.” Kenanga's index finger was in front of her lips telling Alfin to be quiet. Kenanga peeked out from behind the wall. Alfin who was curious took a peek.
There were three strangers talking in the main production room. Yang Kenanga is known as Arman, Nurman and Mila.
“Who are they?” alfin asked in a whisper.
“They're villagers.” Answer Kenanga quietly.
Then the three people started talking about something. Kenanga and Alfin listened carefully.
“The chairman said, the team that claimed to be a mystery-solving group was actually an undercover TNI. They're here to find out about the incident.” Nurman said.
“Already expected, they must not be random people. I suspected him early. You fucking fucker. They definitely want to fate the same as his colleagues.” Mila's reply was upset.
“We have to how?” ask Arman.
“Let's just relax, all the villagers trust us a lot. They won't be able to open their mouths to strangers. I've even ordered their food to be poisoned.” Nurman replied casually.
Kenanga and Alfin were shocked.
“But what about the woman? he looks ungodly.” Sela Mila's.
“She's just a girl, why worry about her? Just check them with flakka and make them kill themselves, the business is done.” Reply Nurman relaxed.
“But what if someone walks into this factory? you saw, the side door opened.” Arman was worried.
“I know. The chairman told me that someone was going to go into the factory. But this factory is very large. Where could they possibly find our secret room?”
“But what if they find it?”
“Although yes, they will definitely be so scared that they faint. And surely they won't be able to get out of this factory out of sheer horror. As happened before.”
Kenanga clenched her hands to hear the conversation of these three people. Especially Nurman, who was very confident. He had expected, that these three people were not as good and as innocent as they seemed. They're the brains behind that hideous secret room.
Then the three men suddenly left. And Kenanga used that opportunity to get out. He and Alfin finally made it out of the factory.
They walked with a million sediments towards the inn. Satya informs him that Riko has been taken to the inn. They do not need to go to the clinic.
Their arrival was greeted by everyone's gazes.
“Where are you from?” chirps Panji.
“From investigating.” Answer Kenanga briefly, “How is it?” tanyanya pointed at Riko with her gaze. Riko is currently asleep due to medication.
“He is fine. The doctor said it was only mild poisoning. It seems like he ate the wrong thing or someone is allergic. Nothing to worry about.” Answer Angga.
“Salah,” Kenanga.
“Hah? What do you mean?” ask Dani.
Everyone was shocked except Alfin who already knew. Their mouths showed curiosity.
"What do you mean?" ask Dani.
Kenanga paused for a moment, "I just assumed. They don't look friendly. And it's ridiculous that Riko got food poisoning after eating at one of the stalls. It shouldn't be just him." Kenanga explained. They nodded their heads confirming Kenanga's reasonable-sounding explanation.
"So what's the outcome of your investigation?"sela Baags's.
“The chairman said, the team that claimed to be a mystery-solving group was actually an undercover TNI. They're here to find out about the incident.”
Kenanga remembered the words of Nurman. He felt something was wrong. So Kenanga chose not to say it first.
“Nothing means. Besides the factory that has been established for a long time.” His lie. Alfin looked at Kenanga in surprise.
Why didn't Lieutenant Kenanga say it honestly? Thought it.
Bagas nodded in understanding, “Thank you for the hard work. We'll continue the investigation later tonight. It's afternoon now. And Satya.” Satya turned her head as soon as namnaya was called.
“Please keep your involvement in this mission a secret. And take a comfortable vacation, don't mind us.” Say Bagas.
Satya nodded, “Good Captain.”
Since it was already afternoon, Satya and Alfin decided to return to their inn. They are tired too. Moreover, Alfin who had experienced many of the most terrible events in his life.
“Alfin.” call Kenanga as soon as they want to enter the house.
Alfin and Satya turned around. There was Kenanga standing under the stairs.
“Someone I want to talk to you about.” Kenanga.
Satya understood that they wanted to talk together, “Then, I go in first. Let's Lieutenant.” Pamit Satya went into the house first.
After Satya died, Alfin immediately followed Kenanga away from the inn. They were sitting in a gazebo not far from there.
“What's up, Lieutenant?” ask Alfin.
“On the incident earlier, I kept it a secret from others because it has a reason. As you've heard, they've been informed of our identity and our mission by someone called the chairman. I suspect there is a traitor in our unit.” Kenanga.
Alfin nodded in understanding, “So. I suspect too. It feels like this village accepts us and wants to expel us. While walking around, the gazes of the citizens look friendly also scary.”
“There's something I want to ask you.” Saying Kenanga seriously. Alfin listened carefully.
“You said Miracle stole your happiness three years ago, what does that mean?”
“Why is Lieutenant curious?” ask Alfin.
“Just want to know. If you don't want to tell me, yes.” Say Kenanga flat.
“Three years ago, after I met you accidentally in Bali, actually after that I went to Spain.” Alfin. I remember listening to him with focus.
“I want to visit my girlfriend who is continuing her studies there. But as soon as I got there, there was an ambulance and a police car parked in front of his flat. There was very crowded, even the neighbors came out of the house and swarmed the place. When I asked, he said someone died.” Alfin said in a tone full of sadness.
“You love?” guess Kenanga was on target. Alfin nodded slowly.
“He killed himself said.” Reply Alfin, “But I don't believe it. Until I found a circle symbol with a bow in the middle behind his neck. Satya said it was the symbol of Miracle.”
Kenanga. He suddenly thought about the news he had read three years ago when Panji approached him.
“So the Indonesian student who died from downing the poison was your lover?”
Alfin nodded his head.
Now it was clear, the reason why Alfin could find out about Miracle.
“But why did you ask about Miracle?” ask Alfin.
“Because I am also investigating it.” Kenanga.
"Allow me to participate." said Alfin.
Kenanga frowned, "What?"
"I know that the death of my lover was not an accident due to suicide. His death must have something to do with Miracle. I'm sure of that." said Alfin mean it.
"Then?"
"I want to prove it. I want to find the real culprit."
Kenanga raised one eyebrow and looked at Alfin flatly, "You proved the hypothesis just from speculation? You drunk?"
Alfin shook his head, "I'm talking like this because I have the proof. I found my girlfriend's diary, and in one of her writings, she said she was scared, she was being chased by someone."
"Then?"
"Then I was sure, what he meant was Miracle." Alfin said.
"Are you sure it was Miracle?" ask Kenanga.
Alfin nodded steadily, "100% I'm sure!"
Kenanga only gave a small nod in response.
"Lieutenant, please help me. I've been searching for three years and I haven't found any evidence. I've even searched all over Spain. But nil." said Alfin full of despair.
"I refused it." said Kenanga.
"What?" alfin was surprised.
"It is too dangerous for a civilian to interfere in the affairs of the State Service. More about the mafia gang. Because let alone you, I am more experienced and of course professional do not find any clues. So that's impossible." explains Kenanga indifferently.
"But lieutenant, I'm sure that if we find a way, we can definitely find the gap. Miracle is not always undetectable" Alfin said.
Remember smiling cynically, "Excuse me, sir. We think Miracle is a needle hidden in a haystack, can you find it?"
"of course. It just takes a little more time and patience." replied Alfin quickly.
"Then assume you've found it. Then what are you gonna do next?"
Alfin remained silent. He just realized that he had no answer to Kenanga's question just now.
Kenanga gave a small smile when she saw Alfin's confused look.
"Forget over three years ago, forget about Miracle and forget about the past" Kenanga stood up.
Kenanga was about to leave but Alfin's words made her undo her intentions.
"Then what will be left of you when Miracle takes away all the precious things in your life? You'll just be quiet? How does it feel if the country you are protecting is desperately being destroyed by them?"
Kenanga turned to face Alfin who was looking at her straight. "There's nothing they can take from me. I don't have anything of value." said Kenanga flatly.
"Your family? Your pal? Your comrades, are you sure you can accept their loss?" ask Alfie again.
"I'm sorry, I'm not the one who won't be able to stand up after being given the exam."
"Are you sure you're okay?"
"I might cry for a while but after that I have to get up again. Life is hard. There is a lot of loss in this world. And there's gonna be a lot you get after those losses."
"Quite messing around. Rest early." continued Kenanga. The woman turned back to leave.
"You're lying." Again Kenanga stopped her steps when Alfin's voice sounded again. But I remember not turning around like that.
"Who is the one who cannot escape the past? We have millions of brain cells that remember every memory from the past. Who could recover from the wound so quickly? And who would be willing to shut up and think everything is fine when a part of our lives has been lost?"
Alfin looked straight at Kenanga who was unwilling to turn her back to him.
"You must also have past wounds. The wounds of an injustice that has happened to you. And if you really can ignore it, then I'll give you a thumbs up as a human robot that can't be heartbroken."
Kenanga closed her mouth. Unable to bear it, he then looked at Alfin with the coldest gaze he had ever shown.
"You're right, I'm the most genius robot in ignoring the wounds of the heart." said Kenanga.
"Because to me, the past is garbage." press Kenanga. After that he just left without looking back.
