Chapters 27. Heartbreakers

The next morning, Kenanga returned to work. In the room there are already Riko, Bagas and Panji. While Dani and Angga are still not visible trunk of his nose.

"Lieutenant, did you get home good last night?" ask Riko.

Kenanga who was preparing to open her laptop instantly looked at Riko.

"Who is talking to you right now?" tanyanya flat.

Bagas' face changed instantly. He looked at Panji seriously.

Panji returned with his smile, "I can help you." whispered in Bagas' ear.

"Help what?"

"Eh lieutenant, come on, just once. You never join every dinner." Refer Panji.

"I can't." refused Kenanga.

"Outside, we're a team. We've been together for years. Passed a lot of grief likes. Sharing a tent together, sharing a meal together. Team dinner won't make you die on the spot right? Come on." persuade Panji again.

"Wait until Angga comes in" said Kenanga.

"Then the day after tomorrow we have to eat together." stressed Panji.

Dani and Riko just waved softly while Panji glanced at Bagas who sighed disappointedly.

"There's still tomorrow." whispered the encouragement. Bagas.

Kenanga returned to the Acra residence. And according to Meilani's message, the woman stopped by the security guard post.

"This is the key and this is the package." said the security guard as he handed it to Kenanga.

"Thank you sir." answered Kenanga.

"Together."

"Then excuse me." said Kenanga.

Kenanga walks towards the house of Akra while carrying Meilani's package. He didn't bring a car and went home in a taxi.

Just a five-minute walk, Kenanga arrived. But before entering, his phone vibrated in his pants pocket.

I remember reaching into his pocket. He took his phone. A message from an unknown number.

Mr. Aji said that the apartment had just begun to be repaired. He asked me to tell his sister too.

Bagas patted Riko's shoulder. He then rubbed Kenanga's shoulder slowly. Wake the girl up.

Kenanga nodded slowly. He stood with great difficulty aided by Bagas. They're out of the restaurant.

"I take a motorcycle, we take a taxi." Bagas said.

"no need. Too inconvenient. Just ride the bike." said Kenanga.

"But you are sick. The night wind is not good for you." Bagas argued disapprovingly.

But in the end Bagas relented. They flail through the night air of Jakarta.

Along the way, Bagas repeatedly glanced at Kenanga whose head was bowed on her back. Bagas was silent doubtful. But a second later, he did as he thought.

Bagas went home, though his heart was still anxious. And after Bagas died, Kenanga entered into his apartment that was pitch-black.

Kenanga stood still, looking around her house. The house was clean and there was no plastic wrapping around the furniture anymore. It seems like Mr. Aji's remark, the owner of the building was right. The house was finished in three days.

Kenanga felt her body getting hotter and weaker finally went to her room. He just lay down on his bed. After taking off his shoes with great difficulty. Before long, Kenanga was already in dreamland.

On the other hand, Alfin took the elevator to get down to the seventh floor. In his hand was a box belonging to Kenanga that contained Kenanga's valuables that were deposited on her.
