...I had hoped to just disappear from this world. The world looked so dark and I cried all night. Would I feel better if I disappeared?...

πŸ”ΈπŸ”ΈπŸ”ΈπŸ”ΈπŸ”Έ

The lively sound of fireworks gliding through the air alternately. Blurring various beautiful lights, fireworks combine with the darkness of the night. It is beautiful for anyone who watches. Ele still could not cover her surprise. But actually, Ele hates birthdays. He hates being surprised. If you can choose, Ele doesn't want to celebrate her birthday.

Bitter memories always remind him of the events that made him attached to those memories. He was even hated and not accepted by his two half-brothers. His wailing could only be locked in his heart. The wind carried the final introductory chant. Her tears slowly flowed towards her cheeks. Ele brushed away her tears that had fallen on her cheek . He didn't want people there to see him cry. Ele looked down at the sky. An indescribable sense of happiness on his face.

His head suddenly hurt. He sat on the chair holding his head tightly. The trauma is healed. But because of this incident, fishing his memory back. Ele leaned forward, clutching her hair tighter. Alvin's voice continued to sing like the sound of a broken cassette tape in his ear. The screaming spectator felt like the sound of insects flying over his head. They looked so happy watching the fireworks, but not with Ele.

Alvin lived every verse of the song he sang. His voice riveted the people gathered there carried away. He spread his smile. Makes everyone admire Alvin. The best song is already sung. A round of applause filled the field and asked Alvin to sing one more song. The host took to the stage and clapped his hands there. Alvin smiled in a breath because he was so nervous. He looked at Ele who was not far from him.

"Okay, we've heard one song from this handsome guy. He is not an artist, but he has a golden voice. Give a big round of applause."

Alvin smiled as he bowed in front of hundreds of spectators as they clapped.

"It's actually a festival or a surprise birthday party anyway, you're so romantic, is Ele your lover?" said the woman smiling seductively.

There was cheering from the audience there. The host was Veronica who was hailed the most beautiful in this village. Alvin smiled faintly, he stood up and approached the woman.

"The public here must be very curious, the fireworks are written happy birthday to someone. Is Ele a special person?" veronica said she showed a dislike face when she mentioned Ele's name.

Alvin smiled again, actually this question made him nervous. When Ele's name was mentioned again, her heart was pounding. But he didn't know what that meant. Alvin pointed the mic at his mouth. "Ele I've looked like my sister." she replied briefly.

"What a wonderful brother, give another round of applause to this handsome man." Veronica was so excited.

"Can I register as your lover?"

Alvin chuckled when he heard that. The audience cheered and laughed there. Alvin gave his smile while scratching his non-itchy head.

"You have a good voice. Why not just audition for singing. Who knows, you've become a famous singer and the name of our village" said Veronica again.

"I'm not interested, I just want to garden strawberries with my sister, Ele" says Alvin to the point.

"Oh, huh? Wow, that's really cool." Veronica again gave her applause.

"Perhaps before you leave this stage, you can pass something on to your sister's birthday?"

Alvin smiled as he nodded, he looked back to the front. Alvin held the microphone and put the speaker in his mouth. The atmosphere was instantly silent and stared focusedly at the handsome man. "Happy birthday to Ele. May happiness always be with you. Don't forget, always smile. I'm sorry for always bothering you. Here I am also grateful to the village chief who has entrusted me to participate to enliven this event." Alvin lowered his head ninety degrees. Then straighten his body. Claps of applause were heard there. Alvin gave his microphone to the host. And gave his best smile while clapping there.

"Okay thank you handsome sir. You are indeed amazing. To the audience we applaud Alvin." Veronica's voice was so loud that it invited the audience to clap there.

Alvin bowed his body again in front of hundreds of spectators who attended the event.

β€œHappy birthday, good luck with your longevity Ele.” Said a middle-aged woman smiling.

"ELE, happy birthday to you. It's nice to be surprised like this" said a man who knew Ele.

But Ele did not smile, nor did she answer. His face remained flat. Ele's gaze stared straight up at the stage. He then left the show, without waiting for Alvin. Alvin realizes that Ele left. He got off the stage and tried to catch up with Ele.

πŸ”ΈπŸ”ΈπŸ”ΈπŸ”ΈπŸ”Έ

Ele walked slowly and away from the crowd. Each path will invoke memories in his memory. He walked slowly and took a heavy breath. Ele tried to calm down, she tried not to remember the incident that afternoon.

Ele hugged herself with her arms folded in front of her chest. A cool breeze blew carrying the smell of many trees growing around it.

Step by step he followed with a deep breath. He found on the side of the road there were several pieces of trees that were shaped as long benches for seating. The street light was pointing towards him. Ele sat there. He took a quick breath. Trying to withstand all the turmoil that was in his chest. Now the shadow of his memories with his mother filled his brain. The warm kiss of the gentle woman was so felt on her cheeks. Ele touched her cheek and rubbed her cheek several times. He smiled as if he felt that warm kiss. No matter how busy his mother used to be, he must have taken the time to tell stories. Ele caught her breath again. All that affection was shattered into pieces when her mother remarried. The warmth he felt was never again obtained from his mother. She paid more attention to her two half-sisters.

Ahhhhh...The clear water that had been collected earlier, flowed so heavily on his cheeks. His face was puckered to breathe. He nodded with his shoulders shaking. Ele finally spilled her sorrow there.

His breath went up and down and his head felt heavy. All those memories re-emerged in the recollection as if someone pressed a button. Ele still remembered the screams of Harry that made many residents come to their homes at that time. Ele killed her stepfather. Those sad memories were the beginning of his suffering. He could not even bury the bitter memories.

FLASH BACK ON.

After lunch, as usual Ele went into her room and spent her time painting. When Ele was busy painting, suddenly the door was opened forcibly.

BRAKK!

Ele was surprised and turned her body, it's Harry's habit if he always slammed the door of his room. But Ele was surprised to see that it was not Harry who slammed the door, but his father.

"Dad?" His words were almost inaudible.

Ele was so frightened when she saw her father enter into a drunken state and it was seen in her hands that there was still some liquor left. Marko took another sip, his gaze wanting Ele.

"Ele, I've been waiting for this moment for a long time." The half-drunk man stepped up and almost fell staggering because he could not support himself who began to get drunk.

"A-What do you mean?" Ele asked with a stern voice.

"You don't know what your father wants?"

Ele retreated and tried to move away as Marko approached her.

"I want your body." He said slowly, but managed to hit Ele's heart.

A few seconds later, Ele shook her head in fear. "Dad is drunk, better father sleep in the room" said Ele so innocent because she was twelve years old.

"Hahahaha.." a small laughing voice came from Marko's lips.

Ele was getting scared. How can a father without burden say that. Ele's voice choked around her neck she wanted to scream but could not. Especially wanting to run, his legs were like they were glued to the floor.

Marko approached and stroked Ele's long hair. "I'm not drunk" he said, inhaling the fruity scent of Ele's ear.

"W-what did you do?" Ele's body trembled as her father began to explore every curve of her body.

"I want you,"

"Father crazy" said Ele away from her father.

Can't stand it anymore, Marko pushed Ele's body to fall on the mattress and locked Ele's body so that it can't move. Ele began to cry, tear after eye began to flow in the corner of her eye.

"Don't Dad, I beg you!" Ele thrashed, using her legs to kick. But all for nothing, Ele is helpless. He was so panicked. Ele shouted there and her head shook quickly.

While Marko still continues to kiss Ele. Without a second thought, Ele forcibly took the bottle Marko had placed on the table near her bed. Then hit him in Marko's head until the bottle broke.

"Ohhhhh...." Marko groaned in pain and moved away from Ele.

Marko looked furious, he was so angry and wanted to hit Ele. But all is beyond suspicion. Ele quickly stuck the broken glass into Marko's chest repeatedly. When he saw Marko's helpless body again. She ran and hid in the closet. Only tears fell on her cheeks at that moment. His body shivered in fear as someone walked into his room. It turned out that the one who entered was his mother.

FLASH BACK OFF

The smell of alcohol mixed with the rancor of blood even smelled from Ele's hiding place at that time. Ele never regretted killing the man. To Ele's grief, her mother admitted that she had killed her husband. Although Ele denied it and still admitted that he was the real culprit. No one believed in Ele, because she was a child. Ele could not have dared to kill her father.
