At night when the sky was accompanied by a sparkle of stars, Azharin was accompanied by a warm glint of Bernard's blue-eyed gaze. They sit on the front porch.
"Uncle, don't you want to buy me something here?" barbara said when she was going for a night walk as promised this afternoon. Barbara asked her uncle for some soft pocket money.
"You're always blackmailing even this in people's countries" Bernard said anxiously at the attitude of the nephew he had understood.
"When I come back here. I want to buy anything I find interesting." Barbara's little lips give a reason.
"What if you can't buy it?" asked Azharin in serious style.
"I won't buy it." Barbara replied casually.
Azharin pulled Barbara into a hug and tickled the little girl's waist. "It's good to challenge me little girl."
Barbara laughed and asked Azharin to let go. "Take me off Barbie. The sky will be dark."
Azharin didn't hold back for long. They had prepared to leave because her father-in-law had invited her away. Azharin's father-in-law was not the spirit of Barbara.
"Rapidly recover, papa also wants to see the scenery here with you," Axton told Azharin.
"Yes Pa, tomorrow morning we go on vacation." Azharin had been feeling well and well ever since Bernard arrived. Tonight he wants to come but Bernard asks him to stay home, saying Azharin's body still needs rest.
"Tomorrow we will surround Indonesia." Axton's old eyes sparkled happily.
"If Papa wants to circumnavigate Azharin's country, who's my company to take care of him?" ask Bernard.
"You've got a lot of people in your trust, especially your best friend, Gilberto."
"Later discussed, if it's not true said Barbara, the sky will get darker and the baby's sister will fall asleep." Rodney protested impatiently.
"Let's go." Armian took and stepped into the car. Axton and Emilia followed after waving at Azharin.
"Uncle didn't forget my request, did he?" said Barbara with a sinless face and spread out one palm.
Bernard and Azharin smiled. Bernard reached into his wallet and gave Barbara what she asked for.
Barbara frowned looking at the paper she did not understand. "Uncle I asked for your money not red papers that I don't understand." He pouted feeling played with his uncle.
Azharin immediately poked fun at Barbara, realizing the little girl did not know the value of her currency. "You're in my country, baby. Your money despite its high value, doesn't apply here to buy what you want."
Glorya who was still near her daughter said, "Let's go, you'll be left."
Barbara gave the money to Glorya. He felt useless holding it. He glanced at his uncle.
In the car, Barbara was still pouting. Emilia asked her granddaughter. "What's wrong?"
Glorya explained briefly and made Emilia understand. Axton then explains to Barbara.
Barbara understood but she still did not understand the value of the sheet given by her uncle.
"Not to be confused, then just say what you want to buy. Let your mama pay for it." Axton calms down his grandson. Barbara seemed satisfied with her grandfather's idea.
Armian began to drive towards the city center, while Azharin listened to what had happened to Bernard when he came home with Armian.
Bernard has determined to say whatever the risk. He did not want Azharin to feel lied to.
"So it's true that being with Laurren is not your flesh and blood?" tanya Azharin. Although vague he felt disappointed by Bernard's lies and behavior. Azharin could still dismiss Bernard's actions under the pretext that it was only the past. But the child will never be in the past.
"No, believe. I've proven it. I'll get you the letter soon." Bernard headed for the room and Azharin remained seated waiting on the veranda.
Before long Bernard returned and gave, "This look. I'm not lying to you."
Azharin opened the envelope given by Bernard. He took out a folded paper and opened it. Azharin read line by line and noticed the printed numbers. A knotty smile was present on his lips and made Bernard breathe a sigh of relief.
"alright. We don't have to worry about your past leaving no trace." Azharin quipped in a joking tone. Bernard gave a forced smile and Azharin finally seduced her husband into a warm smile.
"I promise I will never leave you again." Seen such a strong promise from Bernard.
"Then where's Laurren?" Tanya Azharin later.
"I don't know. Alex took care of it." Bernard was uncertain after his return and the matter of Azharin returning secretly to his country drained his energy and mind. So he never asked anything more about Laurren.
Azharin searched for the truth of Bernard's words. Bernard nodded confidently. "Ask Alex, if you want to know."
"You sure you don't want to know?"
"No." Bernard's answer was very firm.
"Didn't you care about her anymore?" tanya Azharin went back to fishing.
"No. I don't care forever."
"Even if I ask Alex to eliminate it?" tanya Azharin sharp.
There was a sense of shock on Bernard's face. How could Azharin say heartlessly and solemnly. "You're really gonna ask Alex to do it?"
"You changed your mind, baby?" tanya Azharin challenged Bernard.
"Don't misunderstand me. I don't care about her, just how's her son?"
"Then how am I and my son buried in another country?" azharin asked coldly and pierced the heart.
"What do you mean?"
"I know, fate would be like that. But you think it's the cause of the miscarriage because of the news Alex told you about you?"
"Then?"
"Either from where he got my digital trail, he kept terrorizing saying a lot about you and him. Even about the kid he said was the kid with you."
Azharin was silent for a moment as she caught her breath, which began to hunt. Bernard waited with such intense curiosity.
"I tried as if everything was okay and not disturbing the mind, in fact I was wrong. I always thought about whether to stay with you or stop right then and there. Then the incident I saved Alex made me think harder, one side of me I miss you and will still fight for our household, but one side I was disappointed and wanted to withdraw."
Azharin said without any emotion. Not sad, not angry. Flat without any expression.
Bernard stared long at Azharin's face. The pain of his wife and the pity of Laurren's son had put him in a dilemma.
Azharin saw the worry in Bernard's eyes. "If you feel sorry for the boy, you can fund his life secretly. But my heart will not be able to calm down, if Laurren does not get any reward."
"You know, Alex has made her a night woman in her country."
"I know, and he's still avenging his heartache on me because of you. He always shadowed my life subtly."
Bernard remained silent and Azharin again said, "Alright, or you can go back to Laurren." Azharin said calmly and left the veranda.
Bernard was stunned to hear Azharin's calm tone. He was still staring at Azharin away.
"Wait," he said when he realized something. He rushed towards the room following Azharin.
Azharin was silent and chose to lie down. Azharin did not understand Bernard's thoughts. "Hmm, is it true that Laurren said he won't be able to forget that woman?"
"Well, did you call Alex, or did I call Alex?"
"I don't care anymore. I know enough about your heart. You can't forget that woman like she told me!" Azharin changed jutek.
"You misunderstood, Ak__"
"Don't you talk about it. I'm not interested. Ohh yeah, I don't care anymore either and how long are you gonna be here?" azharin's tone is getting cynical.
He felt a spark of jealous flames burning his chest slowly. His heart ached given the already distant relationship between Laurren and Bernard. Bernard's indecision caused a spark and struck in Azharin's heart.
