(S2): Little girl and mermaid fairy tale

The next morning Theoden was invited around to meet some of his father's business relations and introduce himself to them. Theoden was so enthusiastic by listening to his father's conversation with some of his business friends.The next day was the same. Their trip to Santorini is not just for vacation but for work.

After the fourth day Theoden was in Santorini, he began to feel saturated. He wanted to take a little walk enjoying the view of the Aegean sea and its surroundings. When his father was talking to one of his friends, he asked his father for permission to walk alone.

“You should be at the hotel back before dinner.”

“Good dad.”

“And be careful on the road. Do not play too far, because you do not know this place so well.”

“I know.”

Theoden immediately walked quickly down the residential area. Not long after that he was near the cliff enjoying the cool breeze that blows and see the beauty of the Aegean sea. Not far from there a little boy was sitting alone reading a storybook. Theoden approached and sat down beside the little boy.

“Halo!’’greet Theoden.

“Halo!’’

The little boy looked strangely at Theoden.

“You're alone here?’’

The little boy nodded.

“Where is your father and and mother?’’

“Dad is at work and my mom is at home.”

“So you play here alone?’’

The little boy nodded again.’’Then where are your friends? Aren't you bored just playing alone here?’’

“I have no friends here.”

“How about I become your friend?’’

“Friends?’’

“True. So you have a talkative and playmate.”

“Hmmm The little boy stuck out his hand and smiled, then said’’We're friends.”

“Mermaid princess.”

“Sorry. All right I'll tell you. Mermaids were originally found in Assyria. The story revolves around Goddess Atargatis, the mother of the Assyrian queen, Semiramis. Finally, only half of his body became fish.The famous Greek legend tells that the mermaid was Thessalonike, the younger brother of Alexander the Great who turned into a mermaid after death. She lives after dying as a mermaid in the Aegean sea, and always asks her brother's fate.”

“One thought,’’the little boy's comment.

Theoden smiles . The little boy returned with a smile. He looked at the sea again, then he took out the camera from his pants pocket. Take some photos .

“Sorry, can you take a photo of both of us?’’asked Theoden to one of the visitors there.

The visitor photographed them both.

“Kakak , come smile!’’

Theoden forced a smile.

“Thank you,’’said Theoden. The visitor smiled, then walked away.

The carefree voice of the little boy was clearly heard among the loud waves. Theoden's eyes, his face was so worried and could not bear to not pinch his cheeks.The little boy was a little in pain, then he replied with a hard pinch in Theoden's hand, then stuck out his tongue.

’’Hei, don't run ! Watch out for you yes.”

Theoden chased after him and managed to catch him, lifting up the little boy's tiny body.

’’Catch you! You can't run away from me anymore.”

Theoden grazed his waist and the little boy laughed in amusement. He laughed and he didn't laugh for a long time. He had forgotten the last time he laughed like that. He thought if he had a sister as funny and as adorable as a little child who is beside him now surely his life would feel more pleasant.

“Are you tired?’’

The little boy nodded.’’We'd better go home. Maybe your mom is looking for you right now.”

‘’Ayo!’’

Theoden stretched out his hand and the little boy welcomed his helping hand.

“To be here only. I've reached my house. It was my home,’’ he said as his finger pointed towards a two-story house not far from them standing.

“I go in first. Bye!”

“Bye!”

Theoden walked back, but suddenly the little boy came back again.

“Kakak, tomorrow we meet again huh. Tomorrow is my birthday. I want brother to come.”

“Good. I'll come.”

“Appointment?’’

“I promise.”

“See you tomorrow.”

The little boy ran back inside. Theoden continued his journey back to the hotel.

“Mother, I'm home!’’exclaim that little boy.

“Kiana, you from anywhere?”

“So I played with an older brother.”

“Kakak? Who?’’

Kiana fell silent, she did not know the name of the person she had just met, because she was too engrossed in playing and joking with him so she asked his name.

“I don't know. I forgot not to ask her name.”

“So you were playing with a stranger?”

Kiana nodded.

“Kiana, listen to me never play or go with people you don't know. What if someone does something bad to you and kidnaps you.”

“But Mom, he's not a bad guy. He's a good man. I'll see her tomorrow, because I already invited her on my birthday tomorrow. He was my first friend here.”

“Good. I understand , now clean yourself, then we have dinner together.”

Theoden and his parents had dinner at the hotel restaurant. They sat outside the restaurant while enjoying the view at night which was filled with flickering lights.

“We go home tomorrow,’’ said Hendrik suddenly.

“What? Tomorrow then? We're not going home tomorrow?’’

“Our return hastened because my business here is done.”

“What can not be postponed a day?’’

“Why? Are you happy to stay here?’’

“Not so. Tomorrow I have an appointment with someone.”

“But baby it looks like tomorrow you can not fulfill your promise, because I have bought the plane ticket.”

Theoden. She was very sad to have to leave here immediately and could not attend the birthday party of the little girl she had just met. Even his name he did not know, because he forgot to ask.

It was getting late Theoden did not come. Kiana looked very disappointed and sad. Then there was someone coming and Kiana immediately ran to see who was coming. He was again disappointed, because the one who came was not the one he was waiting for.

“There's something I can help you with,’’ Joshua said.

“This is a parcel for the little girl who lives here.”

The courier handed the parcel over .

“From whom?’’

“From a sister.”

Joshua's face was confused. Kiana immediately took it from her father's hand and immediately opened it. It contained a teddy bear in brown and there was a small envelope. Kiana read it immediately.

Excuse me. I can't come because today my father and I have to go back to England. I didn't mean to break my promise to you. Someday I will fulfill my promise. That teddy bear was for you as your birthday present from me.

Kiana put on a sad face. Why should you go home now? Brother promised me?’’

Kiana started sobbing crying. Joshua patted his back softly and said,”Have , don't cry. It's your birthday should be today you're happy.”

“Father true.”

“Come now we eat.”

Kiana clasped her father's hand and walked towards the dining room.

10 Years later

A thunderous sound of applause broke out in the performance building. Phillippa's piano concert went on successfully. Kiana is very happy to see the success of her mother who became a famous pianist. She went straight to her mother backstage and gave her a bouquet of flowers.

“Congratulations, Mom!”

“Thank you, baby!”

“We couldn't possibly not come, ” said Fabian who has now become a grandfather, because Raina had just given birth to a baby girl.

Jonathan arrives with his newly married wife one month ago.

“Congratulations on your wedding, Jonathan!”

“Thank you!”

“How are you?”

“I'm good .”

“Is it true that you have been engaged since you were a baby?"

“Iya. Although I didn't want this engagement at first, but I changed my mind. I'm in love with my fiance, but unfortunately he doesn't know."

“Thank you. I'll go see him to talk about our wedding.”

“Hopefully succeed.”

Kiana sat on the sofa while watching her parents talk to Fabian's uncle and Miya's aunt. He recalled 5 years ago, when his father told Kiana about his marriage to Theoden MacAllister. Kiana was very angry with her father, because he had agreed to the match, even she did not know who Theoden was.

He only met him once when he was 5 years old and their first meeting was quite pleasant, because Theoden wanted to share a cake with him. Finally, his engagement to Theoden was made officially when he turned 15 and Theoden was 21 years old.

“You may break off your engagement to Theoden when you are 20 years old. You can decide whether or not your engagement will continue, Joshua said on his 19th birthday.

Phillippa sat next to Kiana after Fabian and his family had left.

“My wedding with Theoden.”

Joshua then sat down next to Phillippa.

“Tomorrow we meet them d and

“Besok Joshua and his daughter will come here,” Hendrik said at the time they had dinner.

 

“So dad wants me to marry Kiana?”

Theoden put down his spoon and fork, then got out of the chair and left the dining room. He went to his room and closed the door. Theoden sat down on the sofa and closed his eyes. He wanted to marry Kiana, even he loved the girl very much from the first time he saw her.

Theoden took a picture of his mother who was on the nightstand beside his bed and looked at her with a sad face.

“I miss you. If only mom was here.”

Put the photo back. Theoden then recalled the words of his uncle Billy, his father's younger brother a few years ago when he was in college.

“Where is Theoden?”ask Joshua.

The girl was nervous to meet Theoden. Kiana never expected to fall in love with him. He was touched by Theoden's kindness and concern for him during these 5 years. Kiana was quite surprised by the man's good looks.Hantungnya pounded even louder every time he looked at Theoden.

The man looks very handsome than usual and deep in her subconscious, Kiana had seen Theoden's face somewhere, but she did not remember.

“So what is your decision about the engagement between Kiana and Theoden?”ask Hendrik.

“I leave all the decisions to Kiana,” Joshua said.

“How is Kiana, are you married to Theoden?”ask Hendrik.

Kiana fell silent, then she opened her mouth to speak, when Theoden said,” I will marry him.”

Everyone in the room was shocked by Theoden's decision. Henry did not believe in the decision of his son, because all this time his son always refused this matchmaking.

“Is that what you said earlier, Theo?”

“Iya. I've decided to marry Kiana.”

Theoden smiled as he looked at Kiana. The girl harrumphed red stared at by Theoden. He did not expect, Theoden wanted to marry him, even until now he did not know whether Theoden loved him or not.

“I will marry Theoden,”kata Kiana who made everyone surprised. All eyes looked at him.

Theoden was happy that Kiana would marry him. He was agitated and afraid, if Kiana did not want to marry him. Now he feels relieved.

Kiana looked back at Theoden.

Theoden suddenly stood up and pulled the arm of Kiana.”Can come with me for a minute,” said Theoden.

Kiana obeyed and followed where Theoden was taking her. The two kept quiet before Theoden opened the conversation.

“I know for sure this matchmaking is very difficult for you."

“At first It was true, but not anymore."

Theoden frowned.

"What made you want to marry me?"ask Theoden.

" It's because you're a good man."

" Is that all?"

" Yes." Yeah."

Kiana did not dare to tell her true feelings, that she loved Theoden.

"Then what about you?"

" I'm the same as you. You're a good woman."

"I don't think you want to marry me" Kiana said.

" I also don't think you want to marry me."

Theoden stared at Kiana intensely and made her feel uneasy. Kiana felt Theoden's gaze as if it was stripping him.

The two of them returned to the living room where their parents were waiting. Kiana sat down next to her mother and Joshua next to her father.

“I've spoken to Kiana and we're getting married."

They're shocked. Phillippa and Joshua looked at his daughter in disbelief.

“Are you seriously getting married to Theo?”ask Joshua.

“Iya.”

Hendrik smiles happily and he is very excited about deciding the date of the wedding and they decide Kiana and Theoden's wedding day is two months away. [ ]
