The warmth of a hug

Two weeks have passed since Joshua visited the tomb of his twin brother Raina. His tombstone has been repaired and his surname has been written. Phillippa's sudden arrival in his office surprises him.

"Phillippa, what are you doing here?"

The girl gave me something and kept it on the table.

"What's this?"

Joshua opened the package which turned out to be a food supply box.

"This is for me?"

Phillippa nodded.

"It looks good. Did you make it?"ask Joshua while tasting it.

The girl nodded again, then she handed Joshua a piece of paper.

I've been wanting to give this food a long time, but there's only one chance. Hope you like it. This is my thanks for always helping me.

"You shouldn't have bothered to make this for me. But I'm happy and I like it. The food you made was delicious."

Phillippa's face was red.

The door of the room opened and Barbara appeared behind the door. The woman was shocked to see Phillippa.

"Barbara come! Phillippa brought me a lot of food. We don't need to have lunch together outside."

Barbara looked on dislike of the food Phillippa brought. Suddenly his anger appeared. He was jealous to see Joshua's closeness with Phillippa, because lately Barbara noticed Joshua was always close to the girl. Every day he came to his class just to listen to his piano play with a face full of admiration.

Ever since the Phillippa robbery on the street and seeing Joshua pay so much attention to it, Barbara decides to find out more about their relationship. So he secretly went to music school and saw the girl and he saw Joshua there too.

Barbara picked up the food box, then threw it. It's scattering to the floor. Joshua and Phillippa were surprised at what Barbara had done. Sandra who heard the commotion immediately entered and was surprised to see food spilling on the floor

"What have you done?" yelled Joshua furiously.

"I don't want you to accept and eat the food this disabled girl gave me."

"Don't call her a disabled girl. He had a name and his name was Phillippa, '' Joshua growled.

Barbara's eyes gleamed with anger.

"Why are you defending him?''

"Because you've insulted her by calling her a disabled girl. You should apologize to him."

"I don't want to."

"Barbara," cried Joshua angrily.

"Are you going to be his guardian angel for the rest of your life?"

"I'll do it if I have to."

Barbara grew angry and she looked at Phillippa with a look of hatred.

"Why are you? Suddenly you came in angry?"

"I don't like you getting too close to her."

Phillippa started crying. He did not want to be the cause of the commotion . He feels guilty for making Joshua's relationship with his girlfriend worse.

Barbara's questions startled Phillippa and Sandra.

"Why are you silent. Let's answer!"

"Don't call Phillippa a disabled girl again!"

"Just answer my question."

Barbara's last question left Joshua shocked. How could he fall in love with Philliippa. He really likes it. The girl is good. Liking doesn't mean he's in love with her, does it?

"No."

"Really?"barbara asked in disbelief.

"Yes of course."

Barbara left without saying anything more. Joshua apologized to Phillippa for her food, which was now splashing on the floor, knowing she had made it hard. Joshua also apologized for Barbara's treatment of him.

I should have apologized. I've made you guys fight.

Phillippa was still crying, because of her guilt.

"There is no need to feel guilty for what happened to us. Barbara's been rude to you. I'll talk to him later."

Joshua grabbed Phillippa in his arms, now he wants to protect Phillippa more than ever. The girl felt panicked and shocked as Joshua suddenly hugged her. Joshua's hand wrapped around Phillippa's waist, pulling her tightly into his arms, while the other hand held Phillippa's head against his chest. "They'll be fine. I promise you. No one will ever hurt you again."

Joshua closed his eyes enjoying Phillippa in his arms as well as the girl enjoying the warmth of Joshua's body that surrounded his body. I don't know how long he hasn't felt this kind of warmth. In Joshua's arms, Philliippa seemed to find the peace and protection Joshua gave her. He used to be hugged by his father, but when his father died he never felt warmth again. Phillippa's fingers clutched onto Joshua's shirt and cried on his chest. He wants time to stop and never let go of Joshua's warm embrace.

Joshua let go of his embrace and wiped away the tears Phillippa still had left in his eyes. "Now go home and rest!"

Sandra who has since noticed everything began to suspect that Joshua put feelings on the girl even though she had denied it. After Phillippa left her room, Sandra spoke up.

"Your attitude to that girl will make anyone who sees her think you've fallen in love with her."

"What are you talking about?"

"All your attention to the girl is unusual. I know all this time, you've always sent him tulips as your other form of concern. You have never paid much attention to a woman. Not even with Barbara who almost every day dates with you. You are secretly a fan of his secrets. I'm not gonna divulge your secrets on that one. Why did you send all those flowers to him?"

"I admire him. I love the way he plays the piano."

"Your admiration for the girl does not rule out the possibility of turning into love."

"That can't happen."

"It could happen."

Sandra then left the room and Joshua pondered over her Secretary's words. Is it possible that he could fall in love with that girl?

The rain came back at night. Phillippa lay comfortably on the bed after she finished changing clothes. He felt tired all over his body and tried to rest. The door opened abruptly along with the sound of lightning making Phillippa jump in shock from her bed.

The girl squinted her eyes at the door and there stood a person wearing a hooded raincoat. Phillippa could not see his face. A grin was seen as the lightning light hit the person's face. His body was trembling and frightened. The man continued to walk up to him and pulled out a knife from his raincoat pocket. Phillippa was stunned when she recognized the face of the person who had infiltrated her room, her aunt Nicole.

"Dead you!''

Nicole slammed the knife into the girl's stomach and fresh red blood began to gush out from her stomach. Phillippa instantly regained consciousness from her sleep and her breathing gasped . He was able to breathe a sigh of relief when he realized it was just a nightmare. [ ]
