On the verge of death

The next day Joshua stood in front of Bellamare's house with a bouquet of red Tulips. He intended to tell her that he had been sending her tulips and was a secret fan. Bel. A man's voice answered.

"I want to meet Phillippa. My name is Joshua Waldgrave."

"Wait a minute!"

After a minute of waiting.

"sorry. Miss Phillippa doesn't want to see you."

"I'm not leaving until he wants to see me. Tell him that."

The gate opened and Joshua went inside. Rosalind welcomed his arrival and let him in. Phillippa was waiting in the living room.

Joshua looked at his beloved girl. He felt Phillippa looked thinner and his face was very thin. In addition, the girl grew pale from the last time she saw him.Joshua guessed what Phillippa was sick.

"I know for sure you'd be surprised, but I do love you. At first I always denied what I felt for you, but I finally had to be honest with myself that I had fallen in love with you maybe I just realized that I love you when you're dying. It's as if my world was taken away by you."

Phillippa ran to her room while holding her tears out. Joshua was just looking at the girl's departure. The tulips he kept on the sofa were kept on the table. Joshua also left.

Five days after Joshua's visit to Phillippa's home, he gets word from Rosalind that Phillippa is in a coma in the hospital, due to leukemia. Of course, the news surprised him. He fell on the floor and his eyes were empty. Sandra who had just entered immediately approached him.

"What's going on?"

"I have to go to the hospital. I have to go there."

Joshua looks dazed and Sandra does not allow him to go alone. He also went with her. Rosalind and Angelica move from the chair outside the ICCU when they see Joshua coming.

Joshua walked into the room and saw Phillippa lying unconscious. He hoped that figure was not Phillippa. With each step, Joshua's body trembled. Both of his legs felt weak. He grabbed a chair and sat down before he fell. For a moment he looked at Phillippa with a faint look. Tears flowed hard without being held back. Fear begins to seep out imagining Phillippa will leave him forever just like Genevieve did.

Joshua doesn't understand why every time he loves a woman bad things always happen maybe he's unlucky in terms of romance. This time he would not let it happen again and it was not at all clear in his mind that he would look back at Phillippa on the verge of death. Joshua doesn't care if the girl rejects his love as long as Phillippa lives on the same earth and breathes the same air, but if he goes, Joshua doesn't know what will happen to his life.

Joshua grabbed Phillippa's pale-looking hand and raised it to the face, then kissed her many times while saying, "Wake up! Please, baby. Awake up!"

Someone grabbed Joshua's shoulder. He looked back. Rosalind had been standing behind him with a wistful look."Phillippa will be fine. She's a very strong woman."

"I can see that you love her, can't you?"

"I love her."

"Miss Phillippa loves him too. He told me once after the piano concert was over."

"really? If he loves me why would he reject me?"

"That's because of his illness. Miss Phillippa doesn't want you to be sadder, if she dies later."

"He shouldn't have thought of that."

Joshua and Rosalind are out of the ICCU. They're sitting outside. Joshua sat down with his head lowered and closed his eyes and prayed despite the pain of accepting the fact that Phillippa was on the verge of death. All this time he was able to do anything to protect the girl, but he was now unable to resist the power of God. Tears flowed again, hoping God would grant his prayers.

Joshua left the waiting room to go to the toilet to tidy up his appearance which looked very tangled since he arrived at the hospital, when he again experienced panic in the ICU room.

"What's wrong?"

"I don't know" Sandra replied. " I just saw him and suddenly something happened to Phillippa.

Joshua lunged in, but was blocked by three nurses.

"You can't go in."

"I need to know what happened to Phillippaku."

Joshua was forcibly evicted and he had to wait outside anxiously and agitatedly, then minutes later the doctor came out and said Phillippa had regained consciousness, even though Phillippa was still under 24-hour doctor supervision. Rosalind then spoke with the doctor to talk about Phillippa's condition. Inevitably Joshua had to wait for Rosalind to explain to him.

Rosalind just got back from the doctor's office. He sat next to Joshua and Sandra

"Phillippa could receive a spinal cord graft in two weeks, if the condition stabilizes, but the problem is who has a suitable spinal cord for her, while Miss Phillippa's family is no more."

Joshua then remembered Nicole. Isn't she Phillippa's mother maybe Nicole can save her son's life.

"I know who."

"really?"rosalind was surprised.

"Yes. I'll see him."

"Who?"

"Nicole Bellamare."

Rosalind's pupils dilated, in surprise.

"The bad woman?"

"Yes, but we have no other choice only that woman can help Phillippa now."

"Miss Nicole will definitely reject it."

"He won't turn it down, because Phillippa is his son."
