(S2): Death of Irene
5 Years later
Joshua who was having tea with Phillippa in the backyard of his mansion while watching Kiana play was startled by the ringing sound of his cell phone. His face shriveled looking at the screen of his phone, looking at the unfamiliar number. He hesitated to answer the call.
“Halo!”
“Joshua,”call a man from across the phone.
“Sorry. Who's this?”
“Do you not remember me anymore? I'm Hendrik MacAllister.”
“Hendrik,”seru Joshua surprised.
Phillippa looked at her husband curiously.
“How are you, Joshua?”
“I'm fine and you?”
I heard a long breath from across the phone.
“My life is very bad.”
“What happened?”
“My wife died today yesterday.”
“Irene?”
“Iya. Irene died in a fire.”
“Yes God. I. I really don't know. Ii'm sorry. I'm so sorry.”
“Thank you. We're back in New York. One week ago. Sorry I haven't told you yet."
“It's okay. My wife and I will be there.”
“Good. Thank you.”
Joshua hung up on her with a sad face. He did not expect Irene to die tragically in a fire. Since 5 years ago Hendrik and his family moved to Brimingham, England, because of their respective activities, they have rarely communicated with him. The last Joshua met them was on Kiana's engagement to Theoden.
“Joshua, what's up?”ask Phillippa.
Joshua was struck by his wife's call.
“Hendrik called me. He just told me that his wife died in a fire.”
“ What? This is impossible,”, Phillippa does not believe.
Phillippa held her husband's hand
“We'll be there now .”
“Of course. I'll get ready first.”
Phillippa called Kiana who was playing in the yard and the little girl immediately approached her mother.
“Mother,”call her.
“Change clothes. We're going to go.”
“Go where?”
“ We will visit dad's friend there.”
Kiana nodded and her tiny hand clasped her mother's hand. Phillippa glanced at her husband before entering, Joshua still silent with a sad look.

The McAllister family residence
Hendrik was still staring at his wife's body in the coffin. Irene looked very pretty in her white dress, although part of her face had been damaged by the fire. Tears washed his face again. His heart was twisted with pain to see his wife lying dead. Two days ago, they just celebrated their 11th wedding day.
Hendrik didn't expect to lose his wife so soon. Across the room, he sees Theoden, his only son with Irene looking down miserably. Theoden cried all night to call his mother and was only able to sleep at dawn.
Ever since the boy woke up, Theoden had not spoken in the slightest and was just a blank stare that he showed. Hendrik was very worried about his son's situation. Theoden was very close to his mother and the boy felt the shock of losing his mother all of a sudden.
A woman in her late stature dressed in black with blond hair curled upwards touched Hendrik's shoulder.
“I'm so sorry for your wife's death.”
“Thank you, Catherine.”
“I was very surprised by the news of Irene's death when I just met her yesterday afternoon and we had lunch together. Irene is my best friend and now I have lost her for good.”
Catherine wiped her tears with a handkerchief. He placed a white rose in the coffin, and sat down beside Hendrik. A young woman standing in the corner of the room looked at Catherine with a dislike look.
Since he appeared in the life of the MacAllister family there have always been problems in the household life of Hendrik and Irene.
“Basic of two-faced women,”his murmurs.
The woman was convinced that Catherine was pleased with Irene's death. He knew of the woman's rotten intention to take Hendrik from Irene, but Catherine was too clever to hide her intention.
“You still hate Catherine?”ask a man who surprised her.
“Reacted you, Billy.”
“ Catherine is a very beautiful woman.”
“She is indeed very beautiful, but her heart is rotten.”
“Where did you know he had a rotten heart?”
“I've caught Catherine wet several times trying to tease Hendrik, but Irene doesn't believe me. She says Catherine is a good woman and mother.”
“To be honest I don't like him either. I don't know there's something in that woman that makes me dislike.”
“I won't give that woman near my sister. I don't want them to get married, because I'm sure Catherine just wants my sister's money.”
“If it is indeed Catherine as you say, I also disagree if Hendrik married her.”
“We are both his sisters. We have to keep Hendrik from Catherine.”
Lucinda looked at Catherine with a look of disdain. He would not allow the woman to marry his brother and become Theoden's stepmother, his nephew. He had a reason why he did not like Catherine.
A week ago before Irene's death, Lucinda overheard a conversation Catherine was having with someone on the phone and the woman said, he would win Henry's heart from Irene and marry her so that she could live a luxurious life again with her 5-year-old daughter.
Catherine Hamilton came to her family's life 6 months ago at a charity party. It was there that Henry and Irene met Catherine, the widow of one child. Her husband died of a heart attack and left her with a lot of debt, so all her valuable assets had to be sold to pay her husband's debts and just leave a little money for them. Lucinda believes that with Irene's death, the woman will be more aggressively pursuing Hendrik.

Joshua finally arrived at the MacAllister residence and Irene's funeral was completed, when he arrived there. Joshua could not see him one last time. He hugged Hendrik as soon as they met. Hendrik was so happy to see Kiana who had grown into a beautiful little girl.
“Your daughter is very beautiful,”said Hendrik.
“Thank you. Where is Theoden?”
Theoden suddenly appeared from behind Hendrik with red eyes exhausted in tears.
“Hai Theoden! Now you are big .”
“Happy to see you again Mr. Waldgrave.”
“I also.”
“True. It's Kiana. You remember no, you met when Kiana was a baby, ” Phillippa said.
“Iya I remember. I'm Theoden.”
Theoden extended his hand to Kiana.”
“I Kiana.”
Hendrik then took Joshua and Phillippa to his study.
“Theo, invite Kiana to play.”
“Good dad.”
“Come Kiana!”Theoden.
Kiana nodded and followed Theoden.
In the study, Hendrik told me about Irene's death. Yesterday afternoon Irene was found dead in a warehouse in the backyard of her mansion. No one knows why Irene got inside the warehouse and what she was there for, because the warehouse is an empty warehouse that has not been used anymore and the plan is to be torn down.
Soon a fire broke out in the barn and Irene was trapped inside and according to eyewitnesses from one of the servants, that Irene was traveling alone to the backyard in a hurry and was eventually found dead inside the warehouse.
“I don't know why Irene went there? What was he doing there?”
“Have you checked the CCTV?”
“I've done it and Irene at 8am went to the warehouse and got in there. After half an hour suddenly the warehouse caught fire and no one knows what caused the warehouse to burn.”
“Are there any suspicious people who came there before Irene?”
“ None. Around the warehouse there is no one.”
“What did the police say?”
“Police says it's just an electric short circuit.”
“If the police say that, the burning of the warehouse is an accident and it just so happens that your wife is inside.”
“I also do think that way. I've accepted my wife's departure now may Theoden also.”
“Theoden will definitely accept the departure of his mother.”

Kiana and Theoden are eating cake .
“Enak not cake?”ask Theoden.
“Very good.”
“You can eat my part.”
“This is for me?”
“Iya just take.”
“Thank you.”
Kiana slammed into Phillippa's arms as soon as she saw her mother.
“Good. It's time for us to go home, ” Joshua said.
“Thanks for your arrival.”
Joshua nodded.” Take good care of yourself! Theoden really needs you .”
“Sure.”
Once again they hugged each other before finally leaving the MacAllister family residence. Hendrik stared at Joshua's departure with a sad smile.
”See you again!”muttered.
“See you again, Kiana!”Theoden.
Hendrik enters again and Lucinda sees Catherine coming from another room and soon meets Catherine. The woman smiled at Lucinda.
“ Hi Lucinda!”
“What do you want?”asked Lucinda in a loud voice.
“I want to talk to you.”
Lucinda knitted her eyebrows together, wondering what Catherine would say.
“Good. Follow me!”
Lucinda took Catherine to her room which was dominated by cream and pink on the second floor, then she closed the door.
“So what do you want?”ask Lucinda.
“I want to marry your sister, Hendrik.”
Lucinda widened her eyes, not expecting Catherine to be that brave to express her desire.
“You've gone crazy.”
“I'm not crazy. Ever since I met Hendrik, I loved him.”
“Long. You only love my brother's treasure.”
“Whatever you say, but obviously I won't give up on my wishes. Theoden needs a mother.”
“But I'm not willing, if you become his mother, because you're not a good woman.”
Catherine smiling.” Whatever you say, Lucinda. I'm not who you think I am. Since the first time we met, you never liked me. You've always been prejudiced against me.”
“But you do have malicious intentions towards my family.”
“How about you?”
“What do you mean?”
Catherine drew closer and whispered something in Lucinda's ear.
“You're the one who killed Irene.”
Lucinda's body froze and her face turned pale.
“Jangam accuse haphazardly! How could I have killed my own brother-in-law. You've gone crazy.”
“ Yesterday morning, I saw you fighting with Irene in the warehouse. You guys had a fight and you burned that warehouse by damaging the electricity. I don't know what you guys were fighting back then which Irene was obviously very angry at you.”
“I didn't do it.”
“You still deny it too. Alright. I have proof of your crime and I'll tell Hendrik about it.”
“Do not do that!”
Catherine smiles triumphantly.”So you confess your deeds, Lucinda.”
Lucinda nodded nervously. [ ]
