The Journey of Jinan

The Journey of Jinan
Chapters. 3

When Romi came out of the bathroom, Jinan was still seen sweeping the room. Romi who did not find his wife in his room then looked into the living room, kitchen, to the front yard. Because he did not find Jinan, Romi was forced to shout calling Jinan's name from the direction of the living room. Jinan, who heard her husband's screams, walked out of the room.

"What's wrong?" jinan asked at the door of her parents' room.

Romi frowned when he saw Jinan standing in front of the room next to them holding a broom.

"What are you doing in that room?" ask Romi.

"I want to clean the room for Mas Romi to stay."

"Well, why is your room? How do we sleep in that room?" ask Romi wonder. Though as he remembered, Jinan's room had no problem whatsoever when he changed clothes there earlier.

"Sorry, I don't think we can sleep in one room anymore."

Romi frowned again. "What do you mean?"

"It should be you who knows what I mean better."

"Jinan, I'm sorry. Mas actually–"

"After I finished cleaning this room, we just talked," said Jinan then re-entered the room to continue his activities that had been delayed.

Romi who was just about to stand up finally abandoned his intention to approach his wife. Either the man is self-conscious enough that he is guilty of this, or he does not care. It was just him and God knew.

About fifteen minutes of waiting, Jinan finally finished also with his homework. Jinan sat her body in a single wooden chair beside Romi. The woman stared at him without saying a word to Romi.

Two minutes into silence, Romi finally opened the conversation.

"Jinan, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to ...."

Romi does not continue his words, the man looks like difficulty in stringing the next word he should say.

Jinan still silently looked at her husband's face.

"Mad."

"Am I that low in your eyes, Mom?" jinan asked to interrupt Romi who wanted to talk.

"I'm wrong, are you, Mom? Did I snatch something from you, so you want to take revenge on me? Why would you play games with our marriage, Mas?"

"Jinan, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to play this wedding. "

"So what is all this, my dear? Our marriage has only been one month, and you will be able to destroy it in the near future. You can even make me your toy in bed. Would you like to liken me to a pel4cur, Mas? Who is easily willing to be your bed warmer when the person you want is not by your side. And this marriage is just a mask." A tear fell upon Jinan's thin cheek. "Am I that low in your eyes?" ask Jinan lirih.

"I'm sorry, Jinan" said Romi, a little sorry.

"Even you dare to pervert in the rooms we used to live in, Mas."

"Jinan–"

"When, Mom?"

Romi silently for a moment looked at Jinan with a confused look, he was confused by the meaning of Jinan's question. Since when what?

"When did you cheat on me until you dared to commit adultery behind my back, Mas? Was it just this afternoon? Or just a few days after we got married? Or even before we get married?"

"Mad." Romi paused his speech for a moment. "Mas ... Mas and Aurel were already in a relationship before we were betrothed by mama."

Jinan looked at Romi seriously, waiting for the man to explain everything.

Romi looked at Jinan deeply, he breathed a long breath before telling everything to the woman who had just become his wife for about a month.

"Mas and Aurel are college friends. We have been in a relationship for two years. I love Aurel, Jinan. You can't live without it. But Mas couldn't refuse your mother's request to marry you either."

"Two years? You said two years?"

"I'm sorry, Jinan."

"Why do you accept this match if you already have a lover, Mom? You should have told me from the beginning if you already had a lover."

"Mas can't refuse mama's request, Jinan. Mama will remove Mas's name from the family list if Mas refuses this matchmaking. I'm really sorry about you, but I didn't mean to play you or this wedding."

"Keep, what did your kindness mean to me this month, Mas? If you don't love me, then why are you doing me good? Being the best husband in my eyes. Why, Mas? Why?"

"I'm sorry, Jinan. Mas is just trying to accept your presence as Mas's wife and Mas also wants to try to be a good and fair husband."

"Wait," said Jinan.

"Jinan, Mas really can't be far from Aurel. I love him, Jinan. Please, understand. Aurel doesn't even matter if it has to be your honey. He's sincere, Jinan."

Jinan laughed sarcastically. "Being my honeymoon? Do you want polygamy?" ask Jinan and guess.

"Jinan–"

"Sorry, Mas. I can't if I have to share my love with other women. Even at the moment this taste has not grown sep–"

"Aurel is pregnant with my son, Jinan," Romi cut off and managed to get Jinan to widen his eyes.

Silent struck. Jinan and Romi just looked at each other without making a sound. No tears Jinan back wet his cheeks. He did not know whether to believe or not in Romi's last words.

"Aurel's pregnant son Mas, Jinan. Her gestational age is almost twenty weeks."

Jinan covered her mouth with her right hand. Twenty weeks? Did he not hear wrong?

"Begging your understanding, Jinan. I love him so much, Jinan. Please Mas, Jinan. Please don't make him push because of our relationship problems. I don't want anything to happen with it. Please Mas, Jinan."

Jinan shook his head in disbelief. How can a man who he considers good and impressed never act now turns out to be able to make women who are not mahramnya pregnant out of wedlock. "You're crazy, Mum."

Romi got up from his seat, he propped up his knees in front of Jinan. But before Romi held Jinan's hand, Jinan had already stood up and shifted so that Romi did not touch his hand. I don't know, it seems Jinan began to feel disgusted at the man in front of her after knowing all the foul treatment of her husband.

"It seems like this marriage is indeed not my way to find happiness," Jinan said.

"Jinan, please."

Jinan shook his head again. "Perse me."

Romi was wide-eyed at the short remark from his wife, he shook his head in disapproval. "No way, I can't get divorced with Jinan now," said Romi.

"Jinan, please forgive me, Jinan. I promise to be fair to you both. I promise, Jinan. Please don't divorce, Jinan."

Romi pleaded with his hands clenched in his chest. The man was even willing to kowtow at his wife's feet even though Jinan kept away.

"Why, Mas? Aren't you the one who wanted to divorce me so that I could marry that woman soon? Now I have granted your wish, and you can marry that woman."

"No Jinan, you must have misheard. I have no intention of divorcing you. Believe me," said Romi full of earnestness.

"Punish me now or I'll throw all this vile deed at your mama" Jinan said as an impromptu attack on Romi.

Romi looked up at Jinan. Did he not hear wrong? Jinan wants to complain about his actions to his mother? No, this isn't Jinan. No matter what the problem of Jinan, this woman will never complain about anything to anyone. He has known Jinan for almost six years, and Jinan is not the type to complain. No, Romi doesn't believe this.

"Jinan, please. You know you're just threatening. Mas ... I promise I'll be fair to you Jinan, I promise."

"Threatening? Heh, all right, I'll call your mama now."

Jinan passed to the room to grab her phone. Romi stared in disbelief at Jinan's departure. He followed Jinan to his room.  Just about to enter the room, the woman had already left the room with a cell phone in her hand.

"Jinan please, don't. I know you're wrong, I'm sorry, Jinan. Please sorryin Mas. I'll do anything for you, but please don't stir all this together mama, Jinan."

Romi knelt down to prostrate himself before Jinan. Jinan did not know whether the man regretted his actions to her or just because he did not want his disgrace exposed. But clearly Jinan no longer care, all he wants now is a divorce. It hurts, but it seems like it's better than living with a loser who can't appreciate a relationship. Especially in their relationship that has only lasted one month.

"Talk me now, Mas," urged Jinan.

Romi's eyes went to and fro, it seemed like the man was thinking before deciding where he was going. Don't let him make the wrong decision and make his own life ruined.

"But what about Mom if Mas divorces you, Jinan? I don't want you to know this."

Jinan pulled one corner of her seedling. "You're a coward, Mommy."

Jinan breathed heavily. "Well, I'll explain to your mama about this divorce."

Romi furrowed his brows. "Are you going to complain about what I did, Jinan?" ask Romi was-was.

"I should have told all this to your parents, Mom. But what a pity, I'm scared enough to let down a person who's been instrumental in my life for the past few years." Jinan paused his speech for a moment. "Although in the end I was the one who was wrong in judging all your kindness to me," he continued.

Romi smiled faintly at Jinan's words. He was a little relieved if indeed Jinan would not complain about his actions to his parents. But what about the original plan? He should have divorced Jinan after six months of marriage, not at the age of one month of marriage.

With a heavy heart Romi finally mengalak Jinan right then and there. Than his mother knew all his treatment so far, maybe he would not get a penny of his parents' property. And more so, his relationship with Aurel will be increasingly difficult to get the blessing of his parents.
