For the past five days Linda has never been out of her room other than to the bathroom or kitchen to eat. He rarely speaks if there is nothing really important to respond to.
During the three days, Jinan was never absent to visit Linda's residence, even though Linda was only in her room. He became more guilty because he saw Linda's attitude that turned quiet like that. He was confused how, even though two days later he had to return to Turkey because of Ardo's work that was waiting. There was no way he would go with such a situation. He didn't want to leave feeling this unfinished guilt.
This morning just like the day before, Jinan will be preparing to visit Linda's residence with her son and husband. Ardo also wants to immediately take care of his responsibilities to the family for his past actions.
"Darling, I went to Uncle Dedy's house for a second, yeah. Last night he asked me to go there this morning before he went to the office" Ardo said after he and Jinan finished breakfast the morning.
"OKAY. I bathed Ayla and Andy first, yeah. After you get home, we go straight to Auntie Sila's house."
As soon as Ardo, Jinan immediately brought all the dirty dishes to the kitchen sink. After washing his cutlery, he wakes Ayla up to take her to a bath.
It did not take long to bathe Ayla and while she was drying Ayla's body with a towel, suddenly her door was knocked from the outside. Who was the guest who came to his house this early? If it was Ardo or Ria, they would have entered right away after greeting. As the door was knocked back a second time, Jinan quickly wrapped Ayla's body in a towel and brought her over to immediately open the door.
Jinan was silent for a moment when she saw her guest was Linda. He was quite surprised because initially Linda did not want to be met by anyone, now the woman herself who came to his house early in the morning like this.
Jinan invites her in and leaves her for a moment to dress Ayla up. After she finishes with Ayla, she lets her son approach her Oma, while she heads to the kitchen to make a drink for Linda.
Upon returning from the kitchen, Jinan sees Linda playing with Ayla. He was a little surprised because at that time Linda did not look like the last few days who seemed silent and ignored the people around her. Now Linda looks more relaxed and smiles warmly while playing with Ayla.
"This is Auntie, in the first drink," said Jinan while putting a glass of warm sweet tea on the table.
Linda smiled. "Thank you, son," he said and immediately gulped down a small drink that Jinan had brought.
Jinan seemed silent for a while because Linda was busy serving Ayla. But a few moments later Linda started to look at him.
"I'm sorry, Jinan." said Linda and confused Jinan. Pardon you? Why did Linda tell him that.
"I'm sorry if I ignored you all these days."
Jinan began to understand what Linda meant. "No need to apologize, Auntie. Auntie is not wrong, it is Jinan here who should apologize, because the presence of Jinan all this can happen."
Linda shook her head. "No, Son. It's not your fault."
"August ..."
"Can I ask you something, Jinan?" sidelines Linda as Jinan pauses her speech.
"A ... what?" jinan asked with some hesitation.
"Can you not call me that name? Can you call me by the name ... Mama?"
Jinan was silent not responding to Linda's question. Error, more precisely a request. She was confused as to why Linda asked him to call her Mama. It would be very awkward for him after everything that happened. As Jinan was about to speak, Ardo returned home with some paper in his hand.
"Assalamu'alaikum."
"Wa'alaikumsalam." Jinan and Linda stared at the origin of the sound simultaneously.
Seeing Linda's arrival at his residence, Ardo greeted the woman and joined her by sitting next to his wife.
"Just now we want to go there, it turns out the madam has come here first," said Ardo while holding Ayla who wants to be held by him.
Jinan sat next to Linda and held her hands together. He felt sorry to see Linda who seemed to have no spirit. To be honest, this was unlike Linda whom he knew when she first met him after the deaths of her parents several years ago.
"Mrs Linda."
Linda looked up at Ardo as her name was called.
"I personally apologize for everything that has happened. Once again I apologize for my actions that have caused the disgrace of your child, so that the company that your husband has built bankruptcy. I'm also sorry that my confession made Romi lose his life."
Linda shook her head. "I've forgiven you for what you did a few years ago, because sooner or later the news will definitely spread by itself. I thank you for admitting your mistakes to us. I was embarrassed because I couldn't admit to all the mistakes my family had done to Jinan."
"Aunt Linda, it doesn't matter. Jinan has forgotten all that has passed."
Linda did not respond to Jinan's comments because she was having trouble holding back her tears.
"Mrs Linda."
Linda looked up again at Ardo who called her while rubbing her eyes.
"Tomorrow night we'll be home to Turkey soon because my work can't be left much longer."
"Come home?"
Ardo nodded his head. "Yes, but before we go, I want to make sure that there is no more conflict between us. That's why I apologize profusely to you and hope you can forgive my mistakes, even though I know it won't be easy for you."
"Are you going to come back here someday?" linda asked with sadness. Just intend to improve the relationship that previously had been tenuous, but why do they have to leave?
"We will definitely return to Indonesia because this is the hometown of Ayla and Jinan."
Linda lowered her head.
"We'll come back here often if Ardo has time, Auntie. We will not miss the time to visit the Aunty residence if we are here," Jinan said trying to give an understanding.
Linda looked at Jinan with her face. "Can we start everything from scratch, son?"
Jinan smiled and nodded, she hugged Linda tightly and was reciprocated by Linda too.
"Mrs Linda."
Linda and Jinan take off her arms as Ardo calls Linda back.
"Em, I want to keep my promise." Linda scrunched her forehead. A promise? "I promised you before and Romi will give you 50% of the losses you have incurred for my actions yesterday but, as Romi is now gone," Ardo paused his sentence for two seconds. "and it's impossible if I should let you set up the company alone so, so, I decided to give my existing shares in Uncle Dedy's company completely to you."
