I went to the bathroom but there was no one there.
I was about to leave when I heard abnormal noises and I knew it was Olivia.
"Olivia?"
I heard a slow moan from inside. I knocked on the door again.
"Olivia? You there?"
No one answered, instead I heard the toilet flushed and the door opened. I immediately stepped back. Olivia fell out of the toilet.
I caught him before he could drop to the floor.
"Jelly!" She screamed in my ear and I was horrified to hear her loud voice.
"Don't scream. And my name is Julie, not Jelly."
I grabbed her by the neck and helped her out of the toilet.
"Where have you been, Juli? I missed you so much!" He said, clearly ignoring what I said not to shout. His mouth smelled of alcohol and I stopped breathing for a moment. "You know I played a challenge and the truth with Wimla. And I dare kiss a man. And I enjoyed it! Wimla is..."
Before he could continue, I smashed my hand into his mouth, his voice muffled by my hand.
"What do I say about not yelling?"
Instantly he stuck his dirty, alcohol-stained tongue into my hand and I immediately released his mouth and his arms that were hugging me.
He fell, his face hit the toilet floor.
"Ouch!" He hissed in pain while sitting down and rubbed his red nose. "Why did you do that, Julie?!" He yelled at me.
I let out a breath. "Sometimes I wish I had never met you."
He held his head, saying nothing.
"Ouch! My head hurts," he howled.
"Why are you drinking? I told you not to. Now how can we go home?!" I screamed at him. He said nothing, still holding his head. She laughed a little hearing it. I glared at his head.
I picked it up and dragged it out. The party is going on with great fanfare. A lot of people were around, dancing and drinking. Wilma is invisible.
"Wait!" Suddenly he said. "Bobert has given me a challenge" he said, putting a finger under his chin and looking like he was thinking hard.
"Bobert?" I knitted my eyebrows in confusion. "I think you mean Robert."
"What," he was suddenly excited. "Yes, I remember that challenge. I have to ask a woman for mother's milk" she said, looking around. He picked up an empty beer bottle and walked away from me. I ran after him.
"Olivia! Wait." Wait."
She immediately walked over to a middle-aged woman in an elegant party dress and patted her on the shoulder. The woman turned around, annoyed at being bullied. He was talking to his friends.
Before I could apologize, the woman started talking. "What's wrong?" He snaps violently. He looked at us from top to bottom and I knew that he was not very happy with our performance.
Olivia put her arm on my shoulder. I hate being so small. Olivia's so tall, like a giraffe.
"Yo the woman with the breast implants" she said as she stuck an empty bottle in front of her face. "May I ask an ASI from you?"
My eyes are wide. "I think you can do it. Your breasts," she approached ***********. "Unfortunately small. What the hell's going on? Was the operation wrong? You-" his words were further muffled by my hand as I stared at the woman. His face looks red, out of anger or shame, I don't know.
"I'm sorry, Mom. He's drunk." I'm apologizing. "Don't mind her, your boobs are pretty big." I muttered awkwardly, my cheeks feeling hot from embarrassment.
Before he could shout at us, I pulled Olivia's arm and dragged her away from there.
"How are we going to get home?" I wonder so hard.
"Ruuuuumaaaahhhh," Olivia chattered. "I hate ruuuumaaaahhhh."
"What do you mean?" I asked. Liv never told me about her parents. Every time I asked, he would say that he was not close to them and did not want to talk about it.
"I mean," Olivia looked at me. "That I hate houses! Especially because of my father."
"Why?"
"He's a jerk. You know he forced me to study law." She's pouting. "I don't want to."
"Why did he force you?" I asked, hoping he was joking.
"My whole family is a family of lawyers. And they want me to continue that tradition" he said quickly and a little harder. "As if someone would give them a gift for it."
"I'm sorry." I said. "But the good thing is that you rebel." I said, holding her shoulder to keep her upright. He pushed me back, scrunched his nose in disdain.
"You smell, Julie."
"What?" I asked confusedly and sniffed at myself. I smell nice, like strawberries. Then I sniffed it and retreated while inhaling the pungent smell of alcohol. His legs were shaking and he gripped my shoulders to calm himself down.
"We need to go home. You know how to get there?" I asked, even though I knew he didn't know.
"I can tell you the direction if you can drive." He offered.
I swallowed spit. I couldn't drive well, but I was the only one who wasn't drunk among us. "You think Wilma's gonna help us?"
"I don't know. I think he'll do it."
"OKAY. Stay here, don't go anywhere. I'll find Wilma."
I saw Wilma's father talking to someone and I waited for them to finish their conversation.
When he finished he finally turned around and looked at me, I spoke up. "Mr.." I don't know who he is and I don't even know his last name. "Hello, my friend is friends with Wilma, can you tell me where she is?"
"He may have slept. Can I help you?" He's kind-hearted. I know it.
"No... It's okay." Even though he looks good, appearances can be deceiving. I don't want to hitchhike with strangers, especially when I have a drunk woman I have to take care of. "Thank you."
He nodded and I walked back to Olivia. Fortunately, he was still there in the same position. He looked at me as I approached him.
"She may be sleeping." I told him.
"It looks like you're gonna drive."
"I'm not sure if I can."
"Julie, I think you can. Don't worry, it's easy."
"Can't you drive?"
"My head hurts so much. Goddamnit! I shouldn't have drunk. I'm sorry."
I let out a breath. "We have to go."
"Yes." Yeah."
I helped him stand up. He leaned heavily on me. I grabbed her waist and she put her hand on my shoulder as I pulled her up. He stumbled in his high heels.
"Detach them. It would be easy to walk without those shoes."
"No, I love those high heels and there's no way I can walk barefoot." He said stubbornly.
We were in a terrible situation where I doubted we could get home and he was more worried about the five-inch demon.
"Olivia, quiet. Take off those high heels."
We both knew I wouldn't do something like that, but it was worth a try.
"Idiot." He muttered as he leaned over and took it off and carried it in his hands. If I were him, I'd throw him in the trash.
I saw red stripes on his feet. "Why would you wear it if it was so painful and uncomfortable?"
"I like it. I don't have a lot of high heels. And these shoes also make me look tall and sexy." He held her stomach.
"Are you okay?" I asked him.
He immediately let go of my hand and ran towards the restroom. I followed him and saw him spewing out his guts in the toilet. Ew.
I looked away. I don't know why, but if someone vomits in front of me, I feel there's something strange in my stomach that makes me want to vomit as well.
After she vomited, she gargled with water and tied her hair back.
"Don't throw up in the car. You're the one who lost your car that was going to get dirty, but I don't want to cause an accident just because you threw up in the car."
He didn't answer me while looking for something in his bag.
"My vision began to blur." He whispered and stuffed the mint-flavored gum into his mouth.
Thankfully, at least his mouth did not smell. "I hope you don't faint."
I hugged her again and we came out of the bathroom.
The party was still going on, loud music was whispering my eardrums.
I dragged him out of the mansion and this time there were no guards at the gate.
"Eh... Where did you park your car?" I don't remember where exactly, but I hope he remembers.
He raised his head that was leaning on my shoulder and scanned the area.
"I think I parked it somewhere in there." He said, pointing to a number of cars parked along the road.
We limped towards him. I glanced at the watch that was coiled around his wrist. It was almost midnight.
"Give me the keys to your car."
He picked up his bag and ransacked it to find the key. After five minutes, in which I had already lost hope of going home tonight, he finally hung the beautiful key before my eyes. I snatched it from his hand and pressed the unlock button of the car.
In the distance, about five or six cars behind, I saw the headlights of Olivia's beautiful black car shining in the dark.
"Come on." I said, pulling him to come with me.
We were almost in front of the car, when I saw two large, muscular men coming from behind him.
It was dark. There's no one around. Everyone was partying in the big house. A chill ran through my spine that had nothing to do with the cold. I stopped suddenly and Olivia glanced at me and followed the direction of my gaze. The two men stood in front of our car, staring at us.
"Julie, let's go back to the mansion" whispered Olivia in my ear. I nodded towards him.
The shady men stepped small forward and I automatically took a step back.
I don't want to die tonight. I'm still very young. Only eighteen years. Okay okay, will be nineteen in three months.
I turned around with great difficulty because Olivia was leaning on me. I heard the footsteps of the two men getting closer.
It was then that I realized there were three dark figures walking towards us from the front. They were dressed similar to the two men behind us.
We're trapped.
Where are the guards when we need them?!
They're very close now.
I felt Olivia's hand loosen her arms around me. I hugged him tightly. He's gonna faint.
"Don't come near me" my voice was barely heard. "Go away," I said a little louder, trying to sound threatening.
I took a step back.
One of the three grabs Olivia's hand and begins to pull her towards him. I hugged him tightly.
I screamed for help but to no avail, the loud music at the party drowned out my cry for help. No one can listen to me even if I scream out loud. No one helped me.
The man who had tried to push Olivia towards her, managed to do so. He was now carrying the unconscious Olivia.
My hand tried to grab it again, but I pulled it back. I screamed again, begging them to let us go. I was very scared and very worried about Olivia. What are they gonna do to him?
I felt strong hands imprisoning both of my hands behind my back and I tried to wriggle out of their clutches in vain. I completely forgot about the two people behind me. One of them was holding my hand with one hand and the other was smothering my mouth, muffling my screams. I saw the other one splashing liquid from the bottle onto the handkerchief.
My eyes widened when I saw him step towards me. I kicked the shin of the person behind me. He hissed in pain but did not let go.
I watched helplessly as the man in front of me placed one of his hands behind my head and slammed the handkerchief into my nose with the other. I held my breath, because I knew that if I smelled the scent of liquid on that handkerchief, it would be bad and I would not be able to do anything. But then again, what can I do now?
Thirty seconds passed and I still had not let out a breath. My lungs are struggling to get air and I feel that if I don't breathe now, I will die. I will die anyway, so why not prolong my life a little. My mouth was clogged with cloth so breathing through my mouth was not an option.
Unable to hold it in anymore, I let go of the breath I had been holding and smelled the nauseating scent of the liquid on the handkerchief. It tastes so sweet. It made me feel warm and fuzzy, made me lose concentration.
I felt my legs wobbly and lost balance. My vision was blurred and I could not concentrate. I blinked my eyes hard to clear my vision, but something went wrong. That smell messed with my thought process. The smell made me lose my mind.
I heard a slow mutter around me and felt someone lift me up. But I don't care about myself.
I was in someone's arms and I tried to stand up. I could see Olivia. Not clearly, but he was there. I tried to grab it but I heard the sound of a vehicle horn. Help u!
I tried to scream but my dry throat could barely get the words out.
"Please" I whispered.
A van stopped in front of us and I was gently pushed into it. I kidnapped. I know it. But I can't do anything.
I immediately tried to get up but failed miserably. I can't walk and I can't see anything. My head is starting to throb.
"What should we do with this girl?" I heard a man's voice ask someone. I also saw Olivia in someone's arms.
"Oli-Olivia," I stammered.
"I think he's a friend of his. We must not leave him like that" I heard a female voice answer the man. That voice feels so familiar.
I felt the presence of someone beside me and that was Olivia. I tried to touch him, to see if he was okay but I couldn't move.
"He should have fainted by now. Why hasn't he fainted?" The same voice of the woman I know demands. His voice sounded concerned.
"He's fighting the effects. He'll be conscious soon."
"okay."
I know they are talking about me.
Who are these people? What do they want from me? Why me? I wondered. I just wish we were safe.
I felt a burden all over my body. Someone had given me a soft and warm blanket.
"I'm so glad we finally found him. My son," I heard the voice of the woman whispering, which in the end stopped.
That's all I heard before the darkness took over everything. I can't hear anything anymore. I can't feel anything.
