The Inauthentic Billionaire Princess

The Inauthentic Billionaire Princess
Chapter 2

I arrived home at about nine and thirty p.m. It's not home to me. I live in a small apartment with two rooms that are enough for me. The owner was a grumpy widow who was impatient with the rent.

I put the key in the hole and opened the door. I turned on the light and closed the door behind me. I'm weary. I don't know why, but I'm so tired.

I had dinner at the restaurant and I was full. I just need a hot shower now.

The summer holidays are near and I am very excited. Tomorrow is the last day of college before a holiday that lasts about three weeks. Many of my classmates would go home to meet their families. And some of them will take family trips to different countries. Thankfully, this will be a nice break from not seeing the arrogant faces of my classmates every day.

I went to the bathroom to shower and brush my teeth. After putting on comfortable pajamas that I really liked, I came out of the bathroom.

I stood in front of the mirror, drying my wet hair with a towel. I rubbed my long, straight, dark brown hair wet and patted it back into place. My eyes were brown and Olivia thought I was thin, probably because I often forgot to eat.

After drying my hair, I turned off the lights and went to bed. I set the alarm at five in the morning. I am one of those who wake up early.

The next day, as I said, I woke up at five. I go jogging every day. Really, it was my only time to be able to exercise. The lecture started at eight and I jogged for about an hour.

Sometimes Olivia joined me because she lived not far from my house, so I jogged into her house. When I got to her apartment, I knocked on her door. I didn't hear any sound from the other side that could tell me he was awake, so I knocked on the door again.

I got the same answer and finally I gave up and pressed the doorbell. The bell rang so loud, so loud that I'm sure everyone in the building heard it. I grimaced as the entire building fell silent.

I touched the bell again but before I could press it, the sleepy Olivia opened the door. I immediately saw her red eyes and eye bags under her eyes.

"What are you doing here?" His hoarse morning voice asked me.

"Um... You want to go jogging with me?" I asked. I don't think he will. I mean, he looks terrible. He probably stayed up all night and didn't know what to do.

"Um .. okay. Wait a minute," he said and disappeared into his dark room.

"Are you sure? You have to sleep, you look really bad" I said as I entered her living room. He wasn't there, so maybe he was in the bathroom.

After about five minutes, he reappeared with a fresher and not too horrible appearance.

Olivia is so beautiful. She has wavy black hair that looks beautiful and deep brown eyes. He is a senior student at State University.

"Come on," he said as he finished folding his shoelaces. I went out and he followed behind me, locked the door and kept the key in his jacket pocket.

"You know I went on a date that night?" He said as we walked.

"Yes. What the hell happened to that? I completely forgot," I said. She had told me that she went on a date with a handsome man a few days ago. He missed our movie show.

"It was the worst date I've ever had with someone" she said, shaking her head. "The guy's a real jerk."

"What happened to that date?"

"We have a movie schedule. I couldn't even choose the movie. Do you know what film that is? The Human Centipede! I mean, who the hell would ask a girl to watch that movie on a date?!" He shuddered.

"Yes right, really jerk." I agree with him.

"I'm not even finished. Next he took me to dinner. And he was the slobiest eater ever. He ordered his food, told me to order food, I was fine, but after that he started frowning, he said, wink at a girl at random and ask about my girlfriends in the past and whether I have ever been in contact**** with them or not. She also hinted that I should date her later tonight. And you should have seen how he eats." He made a disgusted expression.

"Like pigs?" I asked while biting my lips to refrain from laughing.

"Yes, he eats like a pig! And he burps hard. And after dinner, he didn't even order dessert! You know how I like dessert?!"

"I know." I said, looking at him with amused eyes.

"And when it came time to pay, he said he forgot to bring his wallet home, so I had to pay for our food. I mean, in other cases I would be fine with paying, but he wouldn't have to lie to me if he didn't want to pay. He actually paid for the movie ticket in front of me, that stupid guy."

"It was one of those horrible dates that a girl doesn't deserve."

"Yes, and after that he didn't even bother to drive me home. It was almost one in the morning."

"really? God, he's a real jerk."

"Yes" he said and a comfortable silence enveloped us as we ran down the street.

"Julie, what about you?" He breathed air through his mouth.

"What?"

"You never dated, did you?" He asked, slowing down.

"No."

"Why?"

"Nobody asked me out."

"And you will surely reject it." He said, trying to calm his breath. I slowed down my steps to match his steps.

"Yup."

"Why?" He asked again.

"First, no one knows that Julie James exists. And secondly, every guy in my college is a cocky jerk."

He's laughing a little. "That way you won't find anyone. Not everyone is like that. You're judging too quickly."

I'm riled. "Well, I don't need anyone."

We continued the rest of our journey in silence. And after about half an hour, I went back to my apartment to get dressed and get ready for my last day at school. Today is Friday and the party is on Saturday. Fuck the party, I don't care.

I wore a creamy top with skinny jeans and pulled my hair back into a tall ponytail.

College life is very boring. Unlike other college students who have an amazing college life, or so I heard, I hate it. I was afraid to get up so early for it, even though I was not complaining and I was willing to get up at five in the morning. College or not.

And not having friends is another reason why I hate college. I've tried to make friends before but it's no use. The girls in my school can't be called friends. All they do is gossip or talk about a boyfriend and it's very annoying. Not all girls are like that, but I think I prefer to be alone most of the time. Boys are not too good either.

Life doesn't just revolve around these things. There are so many things more important than that. But yes, there is no one here who fits my opinion. So I gave up on making friends. I wish Olivia was on campus with me. Some of the better people were just friends with me because they felt sorry for me, because I was an orphan and had to work to pay the bills. I don't even know how almost half of the students know about my situation.

I walked into my first class and as usual and like every day, the day passed slowly.

When I entered my last class that day, History, I saw Ashley glaring at me. He leaned over Ryder, his girlfriend or rather his bedmate and whispered something in his ear. He glared at me again and I saw Ryder doing the same. If gazes could kill, I would have already met my parents.

I ignored them and walked to my seat. The class started and I noticed the teacher, as usual and took notes on important things.

Shortly after, the day ended. I heard the plans of the other students. Some will be going on holiday abroad. Some are to Hawaii, some are to India, Bhutan, Africa, Switzerland, London, and other countries. In other words, places I have never seen or visited and places I might never have seen or visited. I envy them for that.

I will work as usual and then go home.

I was not long on campus and soon I was walking the streets I knew. It was three o'clock in the afternoon and there was no one on the street.

Suddenly a car stopped in front of me and I recognized Ashley in the passenger seat. He got out of the car and so did the guy who was driving. The driver is none other than Ryder. Ashley grinned at me.

"Based on a nerd," Ryder's voice rang out in my ear and I turned to her. "Did you slap my Ashley yesterday?" He loomed high above me, intimidating me.

"Yes, he deserves it" I replied.

"Be quiet, ******. You hit me and no one can do that without suffering the consequences. You deserve to die." He screamed in front of my face.

"Ashley, you brought up my personal life yesterday when we had a fight, which you don't deserve. I'm sorry I slapped you, but I know you deserve it. Now be a good girl and go," I said in a calm voice. I ignored the dirty words he had thrown at me, and started walking again.

Suddenly I felt someone grab my arm and pull me back. Before I knew who it was, Ashley had already hit me. I fell to the ground because of his strength. I felt the impact of the slap a few seconds later and then I felt my cheek ache.

I looked up in shock as she had an ugly satisfied expression plastered on her face and Ryder looked disinterested.

"Let's go, baby. What to do is done" Ashley said and walked back to her car.

"Don't mess with us" Ryder warned and turned around. As if I wanted to ruin it. The plastic Barbie who wanted to be a cow was the one who started it!

They're leaving soon. I am still on the ground. I stood up and cleaned my jeans, glaring at the car until it disappeared.

"I hate Ashley" I muttered as I took my bag lying on the floor and put the bag strap on my shoulder.

"Earth to Julie" said Olivia, waving her hand in front of my face.

"Eh... What are you saying?" I asked.

"What are you thinking? I've called you five times from the counter."

"Ehm. What are you saying?" I asked, shaking my head to get rid of the dangerous revenge plan I had in mind to avenge Ashley.

"Take the order."

"OK," I said and took a notebook from the cashier's desk. I approached the customer who was staring at me.

"What message do you want, sir?" I asked in a polite tone. His eyes traced my face all over my body before he finally fell on my chest.

"Actually, the problem is that I lost my phone number," he said as he looked up, "May I ask for your phone number?" He asked while grinning at me and I was horrified by the overused greeting.

I pretended to smile flirtatiously at her, looking at her behind my eyelashes, "Of course, just write it down. It's 911."

He raised his eyebrows and blew air through his mouth which sounded like a laugh.

"What do you want to eat?" I asked again. This guy didn't help me quell my anger that was originally directed at Ashley.

"Something that contains Vitamin U in it. My doctor told me I was deficient in that vitamin" he said, winking at me.

I hate customers who tease me. Are you here to eat and drink or flirt and ask for my number?

"My psychiatrist said," I looked into his eyes intently, "that I might kill someone like you someday."

His smile wavered and his whole attitude changed. He sat up straight in his chair, his cheeks flushed in embarrassment and I repeated my question about what he wanted.

"Um..cold coffee with two spoons of sugar, please." He said quietly, avoiding looking at me.

"alright, Sir. I'll bring you your order soon," I give the order and sit on the seat at the counter.

The day passed quickly and soon I was ready to go home.

"Is something happening to you today?" Olivia asked as we walked out of the cafe.

"Ehm.none." I answered while pulling the letter 'o'.

"So, how was your day?"

"perfect. Really fun."

"You're usually a good liar, but you can't lie to me right now" he said.

I let out a breath. I hate this. Olivia knows me very well.

"I had a fight with Ashley. I told you about him. Do you remember?"

"Ah yes. The woman******that's ridiculous, right? What kind of quarrel? Are you hurt?" He asked, with worry in his eyes.

"Yes and no."

"Tell me what happened." He demands.

"He was talking about my family. He told me my parents were dead and I deserved it. So I'm very angry. And I didn't want to, but I slapped him. And today after school, when I was on my way home, he slapped me back. I think it made us peace, but I still think that what he did was wrong. What say?" I looked at him and his expression showed sadness.

"He was wrong. I'm so sorry that you had to listen to his nonsense about your parents."

"It's okay. I don't really think about such things and I don't care what women say***** that."

"Yes, you shouldn't" he said. Suddenly I felt lucky to have such an amazing friend as Olivia. She is my best friend and I consider her my sister.

Silence enveloped us as I contemplated many things.

"I need your help" I finally said. I argued about it all afternoon and I finally decided to do it.

"For what?" Olivia asked, her brows furrowed.

"I want Ashley to suffer."

"What's the plan?" Olivia grinned. "I know you won't let this go so easily."

"Of course not. He shouldn't be playing games with me."
