The Inauthentic Billionaire Princess

The Inauthentic Billionaire Princess
Chapter 19

The next day at breakfast, I couldn't help but laugh when I saw he looked groggy and I was going to fall asleep for a while longer, so don't make me upset with Ethan.

He still did not realize that I was sitting quietly at the table as he walked while rubbing his eyes. He looked tired and as if he was not sleeping at all. It was evident from the eye bags under her eyes and she yawned twice every minute.

His eyes were fixed on me a minute later and he pointed an accusatory finger at me.

"You little boy.

"What?" I immediately cut him off before he could call me something unpleasant, widening my eyes innocently. "What have I done?"

"You know exactly what you're doing" he growled, lowering his finger.

I remained silent, struggling not to let the hysterical laughter out of my lips.

He narrowed his eyes at me. "You owe me a phone call" he said.

"What?" I asked, really curious now.

"You're the reason why my phone might still be somewhere in the garden. It's most likely broken now because I'm pretty sure the phone didn't survive the moment I threw it out of the window. Of course, the gardener must have watered my phone along with the plants now and oh, oh, You have to fix my window because I didn't realize that my window was closed when I tried to throw my phone out the window at 4:45 a.m. And have you changed my phone password?!" charge him furiously.

I laughed uncontrollably hearing it. "That's.. is. the last alarm on your phone," I said in between laughter.

He was cursing under his breath. "I can't believe this" he muttered looking very upset which made my grin widen. "It was my second iPhone in less than ten days, all because of you. My first phone broke because you pushed me into the pool with that phone and now this?!"

I snorted in return. "As if you care. Money is not a problem for you. You might spend more money every day buying useless things."

"No, that attitude looks more like you. And you'll pay for this" he growled.

"No, actually my father will pay for it. I've got no money and all that money belongs to my dad, so he's gonna fix your window and I don't know, he's probably gonna buy you another phone, too" I shrugged.

"That's not what I meant. I will reply to him," he warned, pointing at me again, and without waiting for my answer, he turned away. I laughed out loud, making sure that he heard me, and I knew he heard it.

I know he will repay her. It might be worse than last time. But I don't care. I won't be the first to step down. I wasn't the one who started it from the beginning.

Breakfast went quietly with Mr and Mrs Jenson. They are leaving tonight for Paris, where waiters and cooks have been told to plan an elaborate farewell dinner for them.

"We'll be in Paris for about two weeks. So for a while, you're in charge of the business here," I heard Mr. Jenson say to Ethan who was then convinced that he would not let him down and congratulate them on their wedding anniversary.

After breakfast, both of my parents went to work after promising me that they would come early for dinner because they wanted to spend more time with me before they left. Mrs Jenson had to finish shooting several models for her clothing line before she left with Mr. Jenson, and Mr. Jenson had to complete several business deals in partnership with several well-known companies. Both will be busy for most of the day.

"So what's the plan today? What are we gonna do? I asked Olivia who was looking up from the fashion magazine she was reading.

"I feel lazy today. How about we watch a movie marathon with popcorn and pizza?" He asked, 'em,

"That sounds good to me" I shrugged.

Just then, Ethan appeared in the living room and flopped down next to me on the sofa. I groan in my heart.

"Do you have nowhere else but here?" I asked with a sniffle.

"I'm free today" she shrugged.

"What's? Isn't an entrepreneur like you supposed to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week?"

He raised his eyebrows. "What do you know about business when the only useful thing you've ever done in your life might be just putting cold food in the microwave to heat it up" she said.

I was riled up, crossing my arms in front of my chest while trying to calm myself down. He's talking about Juliet. Not you. You are very hardworking, smart and beautiful and you know that. Luckily, Olivia interrupted by asking what I wanted to see.

"Something light," I shrugged my shoulders. "You choose."

"Um... How about Monte Carlo?" He asked while holding up the DVD of the film.

"Yes, great.

"How's the storyline? I asked.

"Eh.. about three girls who went on vacation to Paris and one of them was suspected of being the heir to the British empire and he took part after being persuaded by his friends." My face fell when I heard it. Olivia grinned. He purposely did this, testing the waters to see how far he could go while still ensuring that our secrets would be safe.

"Is he telling the truth?" I asked, looking over at Ethan to see if he suspected us.

"No," said Olivia, wetting her lips.

"How did it end?" I asked, realizing Ethan was looking at me from the corner of my eye. "Well or bad?" I swallowed hard.

"Well, this is a happy ending..." Olivia cut the conversation.

"Too good to be real. It's fiction. It'll never happen in real life" I waved my hand in denial. "We don't have to watch that movie" I suggested.

"Well, how about a Lizzie McGuire movie?"

Olivia suggested, still grinning.

Similar storyline. Oh God. Does he want us to be found out?

"No," I exclaimed, staring at him with warning.

He's laughing a little. "All right then. You choose."

"Thank you," I said, still glaring at him as he handed me the DVD box.

"Please, for God's sake, no girl movies, please" Ethan said with a sad expression.

"Why? Looks like you won't be watching it" I said as I looked through the film's collection.

"Mean's Girls? The film never wears out" I asked Olivia.

"We're not high school anymore, Juliet," Olivia reminded.

"I still love that movie." I replied slowly.

Half an hour later, Olivia and I were immersed in watching Mean Girls with a big bowl of popcorn, with Ethan being the unwanted uninvited guest in our movie marathon event. I felt annoyed that he dared to eat popcorn in my bowl once every five minutes while continuously using his phone.

About fifteen minutes later, I saw Tristan casually walking into the living room out of nowhere. We were all lying on the couch with a big flat screen playing Mean Girls movies.

"Ethan, I didn't know that you like movies like that" Tristan said, pointing to the TV.

"No," he said, putting his phone in his jeans pocket. "I've been waiting for you to come here" he said, drawing closer to grab a handful of popcorn. I shook my head and kept the bowl out of his reach. He rolled his eyes at me and muttered something under his breath that I did not catch.

"We had a double date with Heather and Carissa. It's planned at the last minute" Ethan said as he stood up. A date? Who wants to date this monster?

"What's? Wh why? Tristan asked after throwing a flirtatious wink at Olivia who chose to ignore her.

"I've told you why" Ethan said firmly, taking the car keys and curtains.

"Oh, okay, I don't matter." Tristan shrugged his shoulders. "Are we going now?" He asked and Ethan nodded.

"Okay, see you Juliet, see you Olivia!" He exclaimed as he waved his hand enthusiastically to us, which I replied with an awkward wave of my hand.

They left immediately after and I finally felt calm, happy to be alone without any cocky billionaires around.
