The Inauthentic Billionaire Princess

The Inauthentic Billionaire Princess
Chapter 4

Liv owns a car that her parents gave her when she was sixteen and she has been using it ever since. It's been over five years now and the car is starting to show signs of damage. However, the car was still a nice little black car.

"When are we gonna get there?" I asked. It's been over half an hour and we're still driving down the streets of New York to get to her friend Wilma's house.

"Are you so excited that you can't wait to get there?"

"Hopefully."

He rolled his eyes. "We're almost there. "Liv replied, excitement is evident in his tone. Truly a party animal.

He stopped in front of a large house with high walls surrounding it and an intricately designed black gate with two people in black on either side.

Liv opened her seatbelt and glanced at me. I still wear my seat belt.

"Why don't you come out?" She asked while tidying up the corners of her dress that were perfectly fitting for her. The dress she wore was rather large but still looked good.

"Who are they?" I asked, pointing towards the muscular men at the gate.

"Eh... They are the guards." He said, blinking his eyes back at me who was previously fixed on the guards.

"At a party?" I asked in disbelief. Who will be at a party? I don't even know what kind of party this is. Suddenly I felt self-conscious. What if I am over-dressed? Or worse, the wrong costume?

"Yes. Now come on, you'll be fine."

I hope so. I got out of the car and walked towards the big gate with Liv. The gate was wide open and the cars drove inside.

We were stopped by the guards as soon as we reached the gate. One of the guards asked for our names and we told him. Then he talked to someone through the microphone and we were finally allowed in.

"Why do they need so many security guards?" I'm wondering.

"Wilma's parents were rich and had a very successful business. I don't know, they're millionaires or something, so they have so many business rivals that they need security."

"They're millionaires?" I asked in amazement.

"Yes." Yeah."

"Liv, are you sure we're in the right place, I mean, they're very rich and I just work in a cafe. I would be so out of place," I hesitated. It's gonna be so awkward for me. Not only are his people strangers to me, but they are also millionaires! I shouldn't have come at all when I knew how low my feelings were even among my classmates. Stupid me, I have to listen to Liv.

"Julos! It has nothing to do with the party. Wilma is the sweetest and kindest man I've ever known. He did not care about his status and his parents were also kind, as long as it did not harm them. So don't try to kill anyone, okay?" He looked at me with a serious face. I hoped that he would laugh out loud after saying that, but he instead put on a serious expression.

"Why? I'm planning your fancy funeral tonight!" I said with cynicism.

"I knew. That's why I told you not to kill anyone." He said and finally his expression turned amused.

There was a big house in front of us. In front of the house there is a large garden overgrown with beautiful flowers and there is also a swing. There were white pillars on both sides of the entrance of the mansion and at the entrance was a guard.

Do they really need that much security? Are they threatened by something?

We climbed the stairs to the entrance and the guards did not stop us. As we entered the palace-like house, my jaw gaped at the sight before me.

The hall is very big and beautiful. The inside of the hall was spectacular with white walls and the other walls had a nice purple design that covered the entire wall which was also the only element that gave color to the room, she said, except people. There is also a large chandelier hanging from the glittering ceiling with brilliant lighting.

Only after I observed this magnificent hall did I realize the people inside. And my God, I feel so out of place. Fortunately, they were not looking at us.

I felt as if I was actually attending a millionaire party. There are so many people in the hall. All dressed elegantly, all the men wore black tuxedos and the women wore beautiful dresses that might cost more than my lifetime earnings.

"Come," Liv gestured, took my hand and led me through the crowd. We walked to the counter in the corner. They're serving drinks.

Liv looked at me with a pleading expression and I raised an eyebrow.

"Cannot be. You promised me not to drink tonight."

I don't know anyone here and I need a non-drunk person to drive me home because I don't know where we are because Liv took me to Wilma's birthday party and I visited him for the first time.

"Promises are made to be broken" he replied.

"And if you break this promise, I will give your bones to my dog!" I threatened.

"You don't have a dog." She's speechless.

"I'll buy it."

"Oh come on, Julie. Loosen slightly. When was the last time I drank?"

"seen? A week ago! Seven days ago! One hundred and sixty-eight hours ago! Ten thousand eighty minutes ago! And six hundred four thousand eight hundred seconds ago. It was a long time."

"You sound drunk, so you don't have to drink."

"I'm not drunk and why can't I drink? I have the right to do whatever I want."

"Hey Olivia, you did it," I heard a friendly and sweet voice from behind Olivia. We looked at the source of the voice.

"Hey Willy! Happy birthday to you!" Liv said while hugging him. I suspect she is Wilma.

"Thank you," Wilma replied as she let go of her embrace with Olivia. His big black eyes looked at me.

"He's my friend I told you about. Julie, Wilma's. Wilma, Julie." Olivia introduced us to each other, casually pointing at us.

"It's nice to meet you. Happy birthday Wil-" I didn't get to finish the sentence because before I knew it, Wilma had dropped down on me and hugged me tightly. I returned her embrace gently.

"thank you. Come on." He grabbed Liv's hand and dragged her away from me and I slowly lost her in the crowd.

God, help me.

I looked around frantically looking for signs of her existence. Too many people around me were drinking, talking and laughing. No one wants to look at me as they walk past me.

Okay, I don't need to panic. It's just a birthday party and Olivia definitely wouldn't have left without me. I'll find him eventually. I just hope he won't come close to alcohol.

I looked for him among the crowd while following the trail where they disappeared.

His room? How could I possibly find her room in this huge place?

I decided to stay. It was his birthday, so he would come to cut the cake or whatever. I retreated back to the counter where they served drinks and sat down on one of the chairs.

I feel very lonely. He better get back to me.

I sat there for some time I don't know how long. I saw people talking, dancing and eating around me.

I knew that this party was a bad idea for me. I shouldn't have listened to Olivia. I promised myself I would never attend a party again.

"Do you need anything, Miss?" I heard a voice behind me and turned towards the source. I saw a young man dressed as a waiter staring at me. He was probably the one who asked me.

"A glass of water" I said to him. He raised his eyebrows, probably wondering why I didn't drink at this party like everyone else.

"Are you okay?" He asked while filling his glass with water.

"Yes. What time is it?" I asked.

He looked at his watch for a moment and looked at me. "It's almost ten o'clock, '" he said and extended his hand toward me, holding a glass of water. I took it from him.

"Do you know where Wilma is?" I asked him, not sure if he knew or not.

"He must be somewhere here. It's his birthday and the cake cutting will be done in a few minutes, so he's definitely somewhere around here. Is he your friend?"

"No. He's a friend of mine. He's Olivia's friend, I mean."

"Oh" he said, shrugging his shoulders. "I don't know who he is, so I can't help you."

"It's okay. I'll look for him" I said, sipping cold water. I got up from the chair I was sitting in and turned to leave, with a glass of water in my hand.

When I turned around, I hit someone and the glass slipped out of my hand. Water spilled onto the man's shirt. Thank goodness it's not alcohol.

"I'm sorry, Mom. I don't mean to spill water on your dress" I said quickly as I looked at the woman with an annoyed expression plastered on her face, staring down as she frantically tried to dry the water. Her dress is soaked.

"What the fuck?" He muttered. He didn't look at me and a few servants approached us. They started cleaning the glasses on the floor and I immediately felt guilty because they had to do it because of me.

"I'm sorry" I said again and this time the woman looked up slowly to look at me.

His eyes met mine and for a moment I saw so much anger in his eyes that I gulped. And then immediately his gaze turned into a puzzled look and his perfectly shaped brows fused together. My face reflected his expression and I was confused as to why he did not throw something insulting at me.

His expression finally changed and his eyes widened as if he had just seen a UFO landing in front of him. Mouth open. He looks very surprised. His eyes covered my entire face and from head to toe.

'I'm really sorry for ruining your dress." I said and quickly walked away from there. I know I shouldn't have done that. I was supposed to help the poor woman, but I was very confused by her actions and I didn't want to get into trouble. And the way he looked at me was creepy.

I looked back and found him looking at me with the same expression. I immediately disappeared amidst the crowd, avoiding his shocked gaze. Thank goodness he didn't follow me. I could have gotten into trouble if she had sued me to pay money for ruining her dress.

I was actually a bit surprised because she didn't chase me for ruining her dress. He looked really upset when it happened, but it really changed once he saw me.

I saw my reflection in the long mirror next to me and I did not look scary, or anything excessive that caused the woman to look very surprised and surprised to see me. Then why would he react like that?

"Hello everything!" An enthusiastic voice roused me from daydreams. I looked back to see a bald old man who was probably in his 60s with a microphone in his hand above the hallway. The crowd stopped talking and everyone's attention was on him.

"Today is the birthday of my beloved daughter, Wilma, and I am so happy and proud of her. He was twenty-two years old today," The crowd clapped to hear him. As their applause subsided, the man continued. "He has grown from a cute baby to a kind child to a mature and beautiful adult!"

At that moment, Wilma approached the pelaminan and hugged her father. "Thank you so much Dad for everything! I love you so much."

Olivia must be somewhere around her. I push past people to get there. The father and son duo continued their speech but I did not pay attention to it. I'm more concerned with finding Olivia who hopefully is still conscious.

However, no matter how hard I tried to find it, I could not. Finally, fed up with searching for it to no avail, I threw myself in my chair and listened to the speech. How long did the speech last? I had to confront Wilma about Olivia's whereabouts.

After about ten minutes, Wilma finally cut the cake and people started dancing after that. Fortunately I was able to contact Wilma before she engaged in another conversation. I patted him on the shoulder and he looked over.

"Hey, Julia!" He shouted enthusiastically with music.

I smiled at him. "It's Julie."

He gave me a shy smile. "I'm sorry, I'm so bad at remembering names. I used to call Olivia by all kinds of funny names the first time I met her. I'll call him Olive, Olay or Oliver when I forget his name."

"It's okay. Happy birthday to Wilma." I said, smiling gently at him.

"Oh, thank you!" He said while once again giving a deadly embrace without warning.

"Pulse... Do you know where Olivia is?" I asked her, politely pulling away from her embrace.

"He was here with me. I don't know where he's going. Don't worry, he might be urinating, because that's what he did after chugging twenty glasses of vodka."

My eyes are wide. "He's drunk?!"

"Yes!" He said, seemingly unaware of my explosion.

"Oh no! I'm gonna kill him!"

"Don't do it here. I don't want to bury a corpse on the night of my birthday" he said with a laugh.

I smiled weakly at him.

"I'll go look for him."

"Hey, how's the party?"

Sucks. It was a thought that popped up instantly and I felt relieved that those words did not come out of my mouth.

"Very fun. I like it." I said, without serious.

"That's great. You should come to my party often. I'd love it if you were here."

"certain. I'm coming." No. gabe.
