The Immortal Fire
Chapter 57: The Dragon-Headed Bison

Liu Ying pulled a cloth bag from his waist, then he inserted the three spirit stones he held into the bag and then hung them on his waist again.

The wound caused by the goat's stealth horn was quite large, fortunately Liu Ying quickly bandaged the wound so as not to get worse.

While busy tidying up his belongings, Liu Ying faintly heard a rough snort from behind the trees behind him. The girl did not dare to turn her head for some time, leaving her sword open and starting to return in alarm.

Not waiting for long, a deafening roar propagated from behind Liu Ying's body, making his hair rise all over.

Liu Ying leaped two meters forward as well as turned around in a manner grabbing a tree branch as the shaft for his body spun. Right before his eyes, a dragon-headed bison was standing firmly on the ground. It was about four meters tall with a dark purple-colored spirit stone clinging onto its body.

Liu Ying's adrenalin was spurred right then and there. According to his guess, at least the creature in front of him had already reached the age range of a thousand years more. If reckoned then it would be equivalent to a level one Celestial swordsman, Liu Ying was no match for him.

As Liu Ying rode the red-eyed Goat earlier, he had unwittingly been led to go deeper into the forest. The blood demon had also attracted some larger demons to come. This was already out of what Liu Ying had wacanakan.

Haven't had a chance to think for much longer, the dragon-headed bison had already attacked ferociously. Liu immediately dodged the lunge, grabbed the twig again and climbed higher.

Liu Ying took out a few knives from his Qiankun bracelet. The girl noticed the bison's movements first, then aimed the three knives simultaneously towards the bison's eyes.

Unfortunately the shot missed and even scratched the bison's forehead. It made the demon bison even more furious, its head smashing into the trunk of the tree that was currently where Liu Ying stood. The tree fell so Liu Ying jumped a little faster before it hit him.

As a result of Liu Ying being unstable, the bison demon had gained a gap to make a third strike. He roared and created a sound wave high enough to cause Liu Ying to slam backwards. The sword in Liu Ying's hand that he hadn't been able to hold before, Liu Ying threw the sword at first.

The sword stuck in the neck of the demon bison, then fell to the ground. Although it did not hit the pulse, it was enough for Liu Ying to get back up and set up a position. The demon roars again.

Liu Ying grabbed another tree branch as a swivel pedestal. As Liu Ying turned back, he straightened his legs and pushed his body to lift a death kick.

"Ghoarrr!!"

The hard bison stealth skin made Liu Ying bounce back towards the back, the girl belatedly held back so her body hit the ground. A drop of blood flowed from the corner of his lips, immediately rubbed roughly with his right hand.

The demon approached quietly, feeling that its prey had been crippled. Liu Ying clasped the rocks on the ground as his final protection, he almost felt that it was about to end.

Liu Ying closed his eyes with an irregular breath, no matter what happened he would face it.

As the bison approached, a roar of pain escaped that was believed to have come from the creature in front of it. Liu Ying immediately opened his eyes in shock by the loud screech.

A familiar-looking spear struck right in the left eye of the dragon-headed bison demon. In the next second, a young man appeared from behind in a hurry.

"Stupid! You want to die silly in this rotten place?!"

Liu Ying's face immediately looked at the guest who had come at that time. "Hu Xian, you came at a very good time!"

Hu Xian displayed an annoyed reaction as he reached out to pull Liu Ying to his feet. The bison demon who had sustained a fairly severe injury roared many times, its legs stomping so as to give a tremor on the ground.

"Hurry now! There's no time for bullshit, the demon's not dead yet."

Liu Ying nodded and returned to his feet to solidify his footing. "It's been a thousand years, we can't beat it."

"Let me try."

Hu Xian then leaped back to pull Liu Ying's back collar, taking her jumping tree branch after tree towards the outside of the forest. The bison demon was still chasing from behind.

Upon reaching the spiritual curtain, Hu Xian threw a token and darted quickly to pass through it. The curtains closed back.

They landed on the ground with gasping breaths, Hu Xian breathed a sigh of relief as the demon no longer chased towards the door and re-entered into the forest.

"Thank you."

Hu Xian turned his head towards Liu Ying with an indecipherable look. Liu Ying could not support his body for too long, he fell to his knees on the ground.

Hu Xian walked over quickly. "You hurt?!"

Undeniably, Liu Ying's legs had already trembled since earlier. Even as generous as Liu Ying was, he would still be frightened when faced with death. Liu Ying gulped his saliva roughly, but coughed and spat out a mouthful of blood.

Hu Xian directly hit a few spots on Liu Ying's chest to stop the bleeding, then pointed Liu Ying to a sitting position. He glanced at Liu Ying's left hand that was covering his waist firmly, looking at the slight blood patch on the back of his hand.

"How did you get a wound this bad?"

Liu Ying grimaced he immediately cleared away the remaining blood on his lips using his sleeves.

"I just..." Liu Ying coughed again before continuing, "Because of the red-eyed goat horn while picking up the spirit stone."

Hu Xian exhaled violently. "So you went out of the inn alone just to get dead?! Isn't our original plan to go together? We're a strong team."

"I-" Liu Ying's words were cut off.

"If only Xiao You hadn't told me, this forest would probably be your grave. Damn bearer girl, you're so happy to make trouble."

Liu Ying frowned then threw his face away, "Not sincerely helping, you better not have to do it for me. After all, this is also for the sake of paying my debt to you."

Hu Xian's eyebrows fused together, with the blood vessels in his neck throbbing. "What do you mean?!"

"I said I wanted to pay my debt to you all to the end." Liu Ying stood up, then took out a few gold coins from within his bag and a spirit stone from his place.

The girl pulled out Hu Xian's palm and placed the gold coin along with the spirit stone. "I don't want to be in debt, bound or vengeful. From now on, let's part ways, meet again if you're a match."

Hu Xian fell silent as he clenched his jaw. He then recalled the harsh words he had spoken to Liu Ying some time ago, he felt guilty about it.

"Liu Ying, can you please not enter into the heart regarding that?" hu Xian's lips bent downward. "I didn't mean to say it."

Hearing that, Liu Ying carved out a faint smile. "All right, I don't mind. But nothing will change, I've decided my own goals." Liu Ying patted Hu Xian's clothes, then said, "Send my regards to Wei Ziyou. I'm leaving."

Next Liu Ying turned around to leave, he sped up a step even with a slight limp. He used the science of Qinggong and darted away from there.
