The Immortal Fire
Chapter 32: The Battle of the Glass Forest

"Niali's big enough, I want to see if it's going to last long?" whispered the man slowly.

But Liu Ying was not at all disturbed by such a scathing statement, he hated pleasantries.

Immediately he hit hard at the man, initially looking towards the heart so that the man tried to avoid. He did not expect that it was a trap, the actual attack was right on the part of the man's face, Liu Ying's leg kicked hard on the man's nose so that it was bleeding.

"How dare you!!!?" he cried out in wrath, the man rubbed the blood coming out of his nose, staring at Liu Ying furiously.

That man was none other than Lang Ziyi, one of the disciples of the Fire Wolf Sect. It turned out that the territory they had occupied for the night was the Glass Forest which was the domain of the Fire Wolf sect, Liu Ying realized that the air was thinning due to the pressure from the aura the man was trying to intimidate him.

Lang Ziyi took out a black claw from each tip of her fingers, swinging to reach Liu Ying and claw at him. However Liu Ying nimbly blocked most of the attacks, dodging the rest and trying to counterattack.

Liu Ying could see the seepage of blackish light enveloping the man's claws, trying to keep the creepy hand from scratching his skin at all.

Liu Ying and Lang Ziyi both knew how poisonous those black hooves were, they also immediately realized that the fighting ability of each other was practically evenly matched.

"Let's stop this ridiculous fight and come to the real fight. You'll regret ever putting your dirty feet in my face."

Lang Ziyi squeezed her fists tightly, desperately maintaining her vicious face that was about to lose that price.

Liu Ying's gaze became even more serious when he saw that the man was emitting some sort of blackish-colored aura and energy, concentrated and urging lungs if Liu Ying was still at the amateur level.

Fortunately Liu Ying had good fighting experience, it would not make Liu Ying's focus split.

In unison, they rushed forward by relying on silat. Once again they were evenly matched, Liu Ying became a little unsteady after finding a steady attack.

"The center of his attack lies in his sharp hooves, trying to dodge and destroy the center of the attack. The rotating formation pulled back jerking away," cried Zheng Tian giving direction to Liu Ying.

Zheng Tian had already read every move, trying to break it.

As they again exchanged attacks, the old Zheng exclaimed again, "Two steps towards Kun, Forward, attack, retreat again. Repeat that! Do the same thing in a row."

Liu Ying followed the instructions well. He took two steps back, then held back the man's wrist and twisted it. Back off again and repeat the same attack.

Lang Ziyi felt considerable damage from Liu Ying's attack, but tried to not falter and hide her shock.

Meanwhile, Liu Ying immediately pulled out his sword and flowed a huge deep calm.

Surprisingly the light was precisely reddish in color, unlike anything Liu Ying had ever let out before. But he was not too dizzy, just immediately re-attach the attack position.

Seeing that, Lang Ziyi became a little daunted. Because only a Silver level cultivator can bring out the essence of inner energy.

At the level of Liu Ying who is still in the Bronze Swordsman, the internal energy that is released should be white or black according to the knowledge he espouses.

While the swordsman who can issue colors other than black and white, it means issuing energy essence. Zheng Tian who witnessed the incident was also surprised by it.

He had thought that Liu Ying might just be a great cultivator disguised as a child, usually they could control and even hide his cultivation level to ease the opponent's vigilance.

Lang Ziyi threw a black sphere into their midst, seconds later it created a huge explosion and scattered thick smoke.

Liu Ying leaped backwards avoiding the ill effects of the explosion, placing himself near Zheng Tian standing up. He coughed lightly because he had inhaled a little of the smoke.

Liu Ying knew very well that this was done to distract him. Even so, Liu Ying only realized that a crooked dagger had lodged in his left shoulder.

Seeing that, Zheng Tian scoured forward and placed himself right in front of Liu Ying.

"You're okay, right?" zheng Tian asked without lowering his guard.

Lang Ziyi and his group smiled triumphantly. Zheng Tian guessed that the man had at least broken through to the level of an eighth level Bronze Swordsman, enough to give some vigilance even though Zheng Tian was above him.

Liu Ying, who had momentarily lost focus, now resumed his condition, trying to recuperate without taking off the dagger and letting it get stuck there.

What Liu Ying did was not without reason, he knew full well that there would be bleeding when the dagger slipped out of place. It would be a waste of time and make Liu Ying become unfocused, thinking he would take care of this later.

Now the fight became fierce, the troops who had not moved and only watched the power struggle, now participate in participating and get ready to attack.

"There's no point in fighting back, I'll try to give a less painful death if I have a good mood" the man boasted.

Zheng Tian certainly did not expect to meet the fight this quickly after leaving his hut.

Lang Ziyi turned her head for a moment towards Liu Ying who was trying to recuperate. "He won't survive, the dagger contains the poison Glass Flower Powder. And you won't be luckier than him."

Hearing the man's explanation, Zheng Tian was wide-eyed in shock. The Glass Flower Powder Poison is a fairly deadly poison considering the sequence is on the line of toxins that run through the bones.

Moreover, the poison was notoriously difficult to detoxify, making it nearly impossible for a Liu Ying-level swordsman to last more than three days.

Not waiting for long, Zheng Tian took out his flagship weapon, the Earth-Destroying Hammer. He attacked early without giving a warning.

The Lang Ziyi troops who were at the fifth level bronze swordsmen rang out, some of them unconscious.

Liu Ying too, did not stay silent. He immediately slashed at the troops, causing some people to get a wide wound in the neck and exhale the last breath.

Zheng Tian returned the diversion trick, injured Lang Ziyi's leg and immediately pulled Liu Ying to leave the place.

The man did not have time to chase because of the wound on his leg that gaped wide. His men were intending to catch up with Liu Ying and Zheng Tian, but were immediately restrained by Lang Ziyi.

"No need, their lives are not important. You better help me heal the wounds," Lang Ziyi said as she stared at the direction of the two men.
