The Immortal Fire
Chapter 34: Qin Health Services

It was already morning, Zheng Tian dragged a wheelbarrow loaded with a girl who was seriously injured inside.

He borrowed a wagon from one of the merchants he met on the way, moving it all the way to the door of the city that was beginning to be seen.

He gently patted Liu Ying on the shoulder for the girl to wake up. "Wei-! You're alive, right?"

"Patience, we're almost there. A friend of mine who is a healer might be able to help you."

Liu Ying nodded weakly, he felt his body like it was crumbling after coughing countless times nonstop from all night.

Zheng Tian continued pulling his wagon, he passed through the city door that looked unguarded. Shortly after passing through the gate, he found an ancient building that was quite large and already knew who the owner was.

The old man had some servants sitting in front of the building to lift Liu Ying in. The average waiter was still young, some went to report to the owner of the building.

"For so long as you don't see Pendekar Zheng, what interests you until you bother coming to my residence?"

A woman with a soothing soft voice came over to Zheng Tian who was already waiting in front, about forty years old with a face that looked ten years younger.

That woman was Qin Baoyu, the owner of the Qin Health Service Office who was not very well known in the Wei empire, but was very well recognized.

"I came to deliver only a wounded child, I want to leave it to you to be healed."

The woman looked at Zheng Tian who looked very serious. "Who is this kid that you care so much about? I suspect he has an unusual background."

"Ah, Sister Qin. You can always guess the situation, you already know most of it." Zheng Tian let out a crisp laugh and invited Qin Baoyu to sit down and greet him like a guest.

They chatted about things like an old friend who had just met after a long time without seeing each other, Zheng Tian continued to shift the conversation and refused to discuss about Liu Ying.

"Decutor Zheng, you have an explanatory debt. I want to get to the point, who's the kid?"

Zheng Tian let out a breath of air. "Why are you so adamant about it, won't any of her identity affect you?"

Qin Baoyu smiled wryly hearing it, he knew that nothing was free from every word Zheng Tian, could only make an exchange.

"I promise I'll cover all medical expenses, guarantee that the girl lives. You can talk to Swordsman Zheng,"

"really?" zheng Tian asked softly while commenting on the sly smile.

Qin Baoyu snorted softly. "I won't interfere and won't try to take it, you can hold my word."

"Sister Qin, you're very considerate. I didn't even tell you to promise," Zheng Tian tried to find an atmosphere with a casual laugh, Qin Baoyu accompanied.

"Have you ever heard of a Soul Mutation?"

"Yes, I know a little bit that it only happens once every few decades. But in these few years many mutated souls have been born simultaneously in the near future." the smile on the middle-aged woman's lips faded, now replaced with eyebrows that are linked waiting for the answer of the interlocutor.

"What's up with that, Swordsman Zheng? Did this child also experience a Soul Mutation?" qiu Baoyu asked as she raised her tea glass to her mouth.

"It's not just a mutation, it's even on it."

Inadvertently Qin Baoyu dropped his glass upon hearing Zheng Tian's explanation. "You mean Emperor?!"

Zheng Tian nodded in agreement, the last few times he had observed the condition of Liu Ying's body, the slow-moving reaction of the poison as well as the Yang energy dominating most of the meridians made him unable to walk.

"How is that possible, have you checked it properly?

"I've checked it many times without him noticing, his identity was hidden by several people from the martial world. Don't you think this is weird?" Zheng Tian tried to convince the woman and urged her to give help.

Zheng Tian resuscitated his shoulders on the back of the chair. "Unfortunately... He has a double meridian. It would be difficult for him to become a cultivator above the Sky Swordsman level."

Qin Baoyu throttled at hearing that. He suddenly saw the door being opened violently, to the amazement of it.

"Mrs Qin, our patient's condition is deteriorating!" a voice stopped their serious conversation.

A few nurses ran around transporting necessary goods and medicines, Qin Baoyu and Zheng Tian headed straight for the room where Liu Ying was laid.

Qin Baoyu examined Liu Ying's blackened wounds, and told his assistant to take anesthesia.

"His blood hasn't come out at all, how many hours has it been since he got this wound?" qin Baoyu asked without stopping his activities.

Zheng Tian went to check, "About eight hours, maybe the poison has already started to spread. He also had a severe cough along the way."

"A'Yue, clean the wound and wash it using anesthesia." Qin Baoyu turned his gaze to the other nurse who was not too busy, "I'll grind the medicine, you help me prepare the Ingredients."

The men complied, leaving behind a girl who was rubbing Liu Ying's left shoulder with a white cloth. Although with his eyes closed, Liu Ying still had his consciousness, he tried not to groan as the girl touched her worst point.

"Relax, Miss. We will help you" said the girl gently.

Her voice was so melodious and soothing, Liu Ying recalled the voice that was last buzzing in his dreams. Although the two sounds were clearly different, they were just as subtle when touching the base of hearing.

Liu Ying squirmed occasionally trying to find a comfortable position and endure the growing pain in his shoulder, it was severe.

"Don't be in that position, you'll be pressing your own wounds. It's best to stay on your back and breathe regularly" said the girl correcting Liu Ying's sideways position.

Liu Ying was finally able to see that face clearly, quite beautiful and looking graceful.

"You-You ... "

"My name is Qin Yueyin, you can call me A'Yue. I'm pretty amazed you're so tough to stay sober" said the girl slowly.

Liu Ying could clearly see the smile of the girl claiming to be Qin Yueyin, he was amazed.

"I feel so sleepy, can I sleep?" Liu Ying coughed again.

But the girl instead raised Liu Ying's pillow. "Just stay awake, that'll help a lot. You can straighten your neck if you feel uncomfortable, I'll take warm water to compress you."

Liu Ying nodded. He still tried not to sleep even though it was heavy, he hoped that the damn cough would stop immediately and let him breathe with relief.

A while later Liu Ying felt himself a little more relaxed, moreover he started to feel thirsty. Qin Yueyin prepared all her needs, compressing her carefully until the girl fell asleep.
