The Immortal Fire

The Immortal Fire
Chapter 54: Rough Traces

Gu Hao darted towards the gazebo, Xi Guan who was sitting relaxed immediately turned his head towards his private disciple who suddenly looked hastily facing him.

"Report,*Shifu. Traces of the younger brother-in-law have been found."

Xi Guan looked surprised. He then asked, "Explain slowly, what did you find?"

Gu Hao's irregular breathing from running around earlier, now he tried to stabilize it slowly.

"There is news circulating in Liang city, that a great swordsman beat up a group of black people and saved a Bureau Heise envoy who passed through the suburbs at night. Disciples with Brother Fu investigate further, discovering that the swordsman is a wanderer. The characteristics of his body are also rumored to be very similar to younger siblings."

Gu Hao paused for a moment before returning to continue his explanation. "We firmly believe that the warrior depicted was a younger brother. Although eyewitnesses said that the swordsman was a young man, given that..."

"All right."

Xi Guan raised his right hand and nodded in understanding. He must have gotten a definite picture of Gu Hao's explanation, Xi Guan did not doubt that.

"Where can you find him?" xi Guan asked more casually than before.

"Shifu, based on the rough traces left behind, should have been a younger brother-in-law not far from the capital. We can't find the exact location, but the fire at Nanping Town's Human Sales House is clearly connected to it."

Xi Guan propped up his chin as he muttered softly, "It has only been a month out of the nest, it has been able to create trouble and attract the attention of many parties. I admit the boy was pretty good, but.." The old man wore a slanted smile.

"He's over the limit."

Gu Hao lowered his head while waiting for the teacher's order, finally Xi Guan turned his head towards him again.

"The boy was indeed a little sullen when taking action. Keep an eye on him while not threatening his identity for the time being, don't be in a hurry" Xi Guan said.

Gu Hao nodded at his teacher's order, he immediately left after saying goodbye.

Meanwhile, at Zhou Li's residence, two disciples were practicing seriously. It was serious at first, but after quite some time, the two trouble-bearers returned to create trouble. Zhou Li watched as he occasionally corrected their positions using a wooden stick.

"Xiao Li, watch your hands." Zhou Li hit Jia Li's lower elbow.

Jia Li lazily repeated the wrong move earlier, but still Zhou Li hit his hand. His face became red from basking under the scorching heat, also draining a lot of his energy.

"Aiyyo, Elder Zhou. Let's rest for a while, I'm so tired," whined Jia Li for the umpteenth time.

Fang Yao was already getting caught off guard by the grievance that had been thrown from Jia Li's mouth, he then replied, "No problem, you can rest all you want. But don't ever dream of exiting the sect again, the outside world doesn't accept weaklings."

Hearing that, Jia Li's eyes glared sharply. "Fang Yao's! You want to die?"

"Indeed, with that crooked hand of yours, I could die?" fang Yao's reply ignited the flames.

"Bent, you say?!"

The war will begin again. Before it actually broke, Zhou Li floated a stick to hit Fang Yao's leg. "Son Fang, you better shut up. While you, Xiao Li, if you don't want your hands to be completely bent, then do your moves correctly."

"You guys practice it right, I have something to take care of. I'll be back in a few minutes" Zhou Li said later after seeing Gu Hao walk out of Xi Guan's gazebo.

Zhou Li immediately walked after her, followed Gu Hao to the Bei residence and disappeared behind a thicket of very lush roses.

The atmosphere again became bored, being obedient was very unpleasant.

Jia Li closed his lips in annoyance, he repeated his movements in lethargy. Yet Fang Yao seemed to still be dissatisfied probing him, the young man stuck out his tongue as a prank to Jia Li.

"Jia Li!" he shouted furiously.

Meanwhile, Jia Li who realized that she had overdone instantly lowered her head. "I'm sorry. I-i'm... Really sorry."

Fang Yao directly glared at him sharply. "You've gone too far, Jia Li. What if I don't dodge, you want to make me lose my head?!"

Jia Li bit her lower lip. The girl walked up to Fang Yao and began to examine his head.

"Again, your head didn't really hit. Why do you have to exaggerate?" jia Li said pouting.

However Fang Yao completely disagreed with his words, this Jia Li indeed did not know where his own fault lay.

"Oh, so you're not sorry?" fang Yao growled.

Jia Li flicked his lips, "You're excited to exaggerate a small matter. I'm sorry, why are you still talking about it?!"

"Little problem?" fang Yao's reprieve did not take. "You don't even feel guilty. Jia Li stinky girl, I don't want to be friends with you anymore. You're a bitch."

"You think I want to be friends with you? If only Liu'er had been here, he would have hit your head for bothering me," Jia Li replied no less fiercely.

Fang Yao flicked Jia Li's head violently, then turned to come to the chair to sit on it. His sense of urgency was passionate, but he was a man and Jia Li was just a girl. How will he fight? It would hurt his pride.

By the time Zhou Li returned, the atmosphere had already become silent. He walked over to Jia Li to ask, he could see the matter from their faces.

"Xiao Li, what happened?"

However Jia Li only shook his head gloomily with teary eyes, it made Zhou Li become confused.

"Well Fang, is there a problem? I just left for a second, why aren't you guys talking?" Zhou Li gave a questioning gaze to Fang Yao, the young man averted his gaze.

Jia Li approached him then hugged Zhou Li sadly. "Chairman Zhou, I miss Liu'er. Fang Yao is getting more annoying, he dares to bully me when Liu'er is not here."

Without letting go of his embrace, Jia Li cried with a crybaby. The pitying Zhou Li caressed the girl's head to stop crying.

"Fang Yao, what has happened?" zhou Li asked again, but Fang Yao did not budge. "You guys got into a fight?"

Zhou Li's questions were always answered by silence, as if they were just a passing wind.

Giving up with an ego, Fang Yao approached Zhou Li with Jia Li in his arms, the young man rubbed Jia Li's head. He slightly regretted scolding her after seeing the girl sobbing, not having the heart to see her as sad as that.

"Here you go, Jia Li, don't cry anymore. I'm sorry I yelled at you, next time I won't repeat" Fang Yao persuaded.

However Jia Li instead whined in annoyance, he released his embrace at Zhou Li before his fist smashed into Fang Yao's shoulder.

"When I meet Liu'er, I will complain about all your behavior."

Fang Yao smiled slantingly, he said, "I will also complain to you for not wanting to train properly. We'll see, Liu'er will be angry at what."

"Fang Yao, you bastard!" curse Jia Li once again.
