After three days, Mo Xian and his family arrived at the Four Stones city and nothing special happened.
Mo Xian saw Li Huan and Li Zhou Ran move as usual. Many of the Peacock Alliance members who had come to his house to meet Li Huan and Mo Xian also saw some of Li Zhou Ran's acquaintances who had come carrying magic herbs.
One week passed, Mo Xian thought things were better even though he still saw Li Huan and Li Zhou Ran occasionally daydreaming for something. However, now the Li family was busy preparing for Mo Xian's upcoming birthday event one week away.
For his twelfth birthday, Li Zhou Ran forced to make a lively party. The waiters were busy making food and preparing the place. Mo Xian asked why Li Zhou Ran was so anxious to make her a birthday party whereas Mo Xian did not like such things.
In the end, Li Zhou Ran and Li Huan expressed their hearts about the plan to lower Mo Xian to the Xin Yue continent to study.
Mo Xian understood why the two of them wanted to send Mo Xian to the distant Xin Yue continent, it was probably related to the attack that occurred in the Eternal Snow Dew.
Mo Xian was able to guess what was inside his adoptive parents' minds, they tried to place Mo Xian in a safe place while they were figuring out who their enemy was.
However, Mo Xian still did not understand why they looked so sad when saying that, because for Mo Xian learning to be strong was the thing he wanted to do now. However, Li Zhou Ran said the Xin Yue continent was a distant continent and they had to part for five years before being able to meet again.
Mo Xian did not think that this was the thing that made them sad. Of course five years is definitely not a short time.
"It's okay, don't be sad, ma'am," Mo Xian said as he wiped away Li Zhou Ran's tears. "A Xian will go to great lengths, in five years A Xian will become strong and reliable."
Li Zhou Ran hugged Mo Xian. "If only ... Your father didn't insist, I won't let Xian'er go. Mother's favorite son shouldn't go anywhere. Your father is useless!"
Mo Xian patted Li Zhou Ran on the back. "Don't say it like that, Mother. If you listen, he'll feel sad. Mother was a great person, father was also a great person, A Xian was very grateful to God for giving A Xian an old man who loved A Xian so much."
Mo Xian let go of Li Zhou Ran's embrace, looked at him and re-wiped tears for him.
"Don't grieve. A Xian knew this was for the good of A Xian, if A Xian had grown up and become as strong as father and mother, A Xian also did not want to leave the two of you. But, now A Xian was only a child without abilities."
"Who would dare to say that! Mother's best son, when the other children were still crying Xian'er could already read and write, Xian'er ...."
"A Xian is the mother's best son," Mo Xian said with a smile, holding onto Li Zhou Ran's two hands, looking at him affectionately. "Mother ... A Xian promised to be the pride of Mother in the future."
Hearing him Li Zhou Ran gasped until he stopped crying.
"Just five years and we'll be together again. Until then, A Xian would fight hard so that A Xian could become what Mother wanted him to be. Become strong and become the Li family's pride."
Li Zhou Ran wiped away her tears. "Foolish child, there is no need to wait five years, Xian'er is already the Li family's pride."
Mo Xian laughed at hearing that and hugged Li Zhou Ran, resting on Li Zhou Ran's lap.
"Mm, A Xian is a stupid boy. But after ten years, A Xian will be smart until Mother may not remember who that stupid child was." Mo Xian said with a laugh.
Li Zhou Ran also laughed as he stroked Mo Xian's head. "Maybe I forgot my own son."
The two then laughed together and chatted about the past. Meanwhile behind the door, Li Huan looked at the two with a smile with teary eyes before going to the other room with a sigh.

Mo Xian took a walk around the city and went to the teahouse to listen to the fairy tale as usual, but he could not focus on the story being brought so he chose to go to the river bank, instead, see the traders and boat drivers.
Mo Xian pondered for a moment about the day of his departure to the Xin Yue continent after his birthday. Li Huan said, he was going to take Mo Xian and Wu Jiao Xing down, but after that Mo Xian had to start living his independent life. Somehow Mo Xian became a little worried.
The attitude of Li Huan and Li Zhou Ran that had spoiled him for many years lately turned out to be quite bad for him. Mo Xian did not expect that he would eventually truly become a child who depended on his parents and feared being far away from them. However, given the situation in this world where if you are not strong, you cannot survive making Mo Xian strengthen himself to be steadfast.
Had Li Zhou Ran and Li Huan been just ordinary humans as well as those merchants, Mo Xian thought it would be good and the evil people who sent the undead would not have chased after him, so Mo Xian could live quietly in this magical world as an ordinary human as before.
But it is no good to complain. Humans are created to adapt, learn and strive. If in this life he was indeed destined to be a member of the Li family who had great enemies, then Mo Xian would also have to adapt, learn and strive to be strong to be able to protect his family in this world.
"Aah!" Mo Xian gasped as he was daydreaming and a hand pulled on his sleeve.
Mo Xian turned his head and saw a beggar child. That's the kid he met when the masked man first appeared. From then on, whenever Mo Xian went downtown to listen to a fairy tale, Mo Xian always met her and found the child was actually quite adorable. If the child did not have a mother, Mo Xian would take her home and ask Li Huan to make her a sister.
"Little sister, are you here?" asked Mo Xian.
The boy nodded.
"Where's your mother?"
The child pointed in a direction and Mo Xian followed him before seeing a woman he knew as the mother of beggars, sitting under a tree while eating something, seemingly knowing.
"Your mother is eating, why are you here and not eating with her?"
The boy shook his head.
"Have you eaten?"
The boy nodded.
Mo Xian sighed before patting his head and looking back at the river.
The boy pulled back Mo Xian's sleeves and tried to move his hands to ask what was going on with Mo Xian.
Mo Xian smiled, stroking the child's head again.
"I'm just thinking ...,"
The boy moved his hand before touching his face.
The boy nodded.
Mo Xian sighed. "Little sister, you are still very small and will not understand," Mo Xian said to the child before he suddenly stopped as if realizing something and smilingly looked at the child.
The child showed a puzzled face as it suddenly saw Mo Xian smiling.
"Since you won't understand, it doesn't seem to matter if I tell you,"—Mo Xian sighed—" all along I wanted to tell this to someone but couldn't. But I think I can tell you, how about we go somewhere?"
In the end Mo Xian took the beggar's son to a fairly quiet place. It was, a small teahouse located in the outskirts of the city and not too many people came. After ordering drinks and snacks Mo Xian started telling stories.
"I'm not from this world" he said, making the child who was eating cookies drop the cake and look at him with a stupid face.
Mo Xian laughed and picked up another cake before handing it to the boy.
"Are you surprised? Do you know what I mean?" asked Mo Xian.
The boy shook his head, before using his hands to describe something and showing a sinister face.
Mo Xian laughed. "Do you think I'm a ghost?"
The boy nodded timidly until his neck shrunk not daring to look directly at Mo Xian.
Mo Xian laughed again before patting the boy on the head.
"Look, I'm not a ghost. Maybe."
The boy's face darkened.
"I mean, I might not be a ghost right now. Yes, or how I explained it. Ah, it doesn't matter you just have to listen to my story."
Mo Xian then recounted how he burned to death in his previous life and was reborn as a small baby that almost killed people, saved Mo Shan before finally being raised as a child of the Li family. Mo Xian even told him about his condition disguised as a boy.
Mo Xian clicked his tongue and drank his tea.
"Until now I can't understand why I'm still hiding my identity as a daughter. It's a little stressful for me" Mo Xian said as he looked at the child.
The child did not react, only staring at Mo Xian with a puzzled face.
"I know this is a little out of my mind, right? Returning to life, transmigrating to another world, I was already eighteen years old and trapped in the body of a twelve year old child. But, I still remember the words of Mo Shan who told me to pretend to be a boy, and I still can't understand what the reason is, but I still do!"
Mo Xian sighed.
"But now everything has happened and everyone knows me as the son of the Li family. I wish I could meet him again and ask him why I should disguise myself as a boy."
Mo Xian pouted before staring sadly at his cup. "I want to see how my foster parents would react if they found out about this, do you think I'd get kicked?"
The boy shook his head.
"M, I hope so too. But ...,"
Mo Xian then began to tell her the problem, her encounters with masked people and her fight in the Magic Snow Dew as well as her adoptive parents' desire to send her off to study in the Xin Yue continent.
The kid's reaction was a little unusual, his face blackened like a pot butt.
"I know, it's terrible. In my previous life, there was nothing like this, everything lived peacefully, although there were bad people, but not until like this, making the undead to attack that person was truly outrageous!"
"I thought it was the work of evil men who were hostile to my father's work, but now I'm also his target for being his son." Mo Xian tightly grasped the chopsticks in his hand.
"But they're my parents now and I love them, I don't want to see them in danger and distress because of me. I don't want to be a burden to anyone else. It's time I adapted to this cruel and strange world. I have to work hard to be strong and protect my family."
The boy did not react for a long time before moving his hand and making some expressions.
"The bad guys? Of course my father will take care of it while I'm far away. Father said, he will find out and catch the villain, he only asked me not to worry and study well in the Xin Yue continent."
"Remain still, I feel worried and sad because I can't help ease their problems."
Mo Xian sighed and in the end he almost spewed out all his grievances including his desire to meet Mo Shan back and after saying that, his feelings got better even though he did not get any advice.
They chatted, it could not be said to be chatting as only Mo Xian spoke until the afternoon and his whereabouts were discovered by Wu Jiao Xing.
Wu Jiao Xing who came immediately scolded him for leaving without saying goodbye and made him have to look for Mo Xian, almost surrounding the Four Stones City. Wu Jiao Xing said everything was ready and many people had come to his house for his birthday party.
Mo Xian smiled at the beggar boy and said goodbye to him before leaving with Wu Jiao Xing back home.
At his house the party event was really festive, people came to give gifts and Li Zhou Ran invited a special storyteller for Mo Xian. After that festive night, Li Huan took her with Wu Jiao Xing somewhere.
After that Mo Xian couldn't remember, but by the time he realized the next day he was already at an inn with Wu Jiao Xing with a letter on the table.
