The Guardians: The Swordsman of the Moon
Selfish.

After meeting with one of the Peacock Alliance members who was assigned to look for information regarding Mo Shan and the spell that was behind the mask, Li Huan took his wife back home using a horse carriage.

Li Zhou Ran did not talk much on the way, his gaze blankly staring out the window. Li Huan understood his feelings of having to swallow back the disappointment with the empty news. Five-year-old Li Huan moved almost all of his members to discover Mo Shan's identity, but none of them came to fruition.

However, ever since Li Huan saw the damage to the hut where Mo Xian lived five years ago, he had been, Li Huan could still guess that the person named Mo Shan was still alive even though a lot of blood was splattered there.

The reason Li Huan had urged Mo Xian to come with him was nothing more than his own selfishness that instantly fell for the extremely adorable child.

How many street kids has he seen? Hundreds, if not thousands, but none moved his heart to take the children as his own. Only Mo Xian could do that. Upon seeing Mo Xian, he recalled his wife, when he heard Mo Xian was living with his uncle, he prayed thinking that it would be fortunate for Mo Xian not to stay with anyone so that he could bring her home.

Li Huan did not expect at all that his heart's desire materialized so quickly, when he saw Mo Xian cry for Mo Shan's loss, Li Huan was happy, with no intention of helping the boy find his uncle, Li Huan pretended to help her and told a little lie.

As the child fell into his arms, Li Huan was so happy that he forgot about Mo Shan for a while. However, as she recalled the name and looked for the background of that person, for the first time in her life Li Huan returned to feeling fear. It was because Li Huan could not find Mo Shan's identity.

His teacher once said, there are people with extraordinary talents not infrequently train themselves and tend to be lazy. When that person became great, no one knew him.

Li Huan sighed as he recalled his teacher's words. He then looked at the face of his wife who was still looking out the window.

"Laopo?" call Li Huan.

Li Zhou Ran turned his head.

"Have you ever asked Xian'er what Mo Shan was like?"

Li Zhuo Ran shook his head. "Every time I want to ask about Mo Shan, Xian'er will be sad. So I haven't brought it up since."

Li Huan leaned his back against the backrest upon hearing that.

"Since we can't figure out Mo Shan's identity, I can only hope Mo Shan is a good person."

Li Zhou Ran nodded. However, there was still something else that was troubling his mind.

Li Huan stared with a sad face.

"Since we can't get any information about it either, all we can do is immediately train Xian'er as soon as possible to protect himself."

Li Zhou Ran lowered his gaze, looking still disagreeing with it because all Li Zhou Ran wanted was to keep Mo Xian at home and not let him go anywhere.

"Xian'er is adventurous, she likes a free world. We can't lock Xian'er up for the rest of his life."

Li Zhuo Ran did not reply, but she knew what her husband said was indeed true. After all, Mo Xian's spiritual energy core had been perfect, the moment the spiritual energy core had been perfect, that person would easily cultivate the energy that was around him and make it into a deep energy that could be used to defend also attack.

....

Time passed quickly, Li Huan still moved his members to search for information about the blood spell on the mask. No strange events had happened since then and neither Li Huan nor Li Zhou Ran had actually obeyed their own words to train Mo Xian into a strong youth and possessed a wide array of skills.

One year passed by just like that, Mo Xian's development in martial arts practice had already progressed by a great distance, even while training against Wu Jiao Xing, Mo Xian was already able to compensate him and surpass him.

Wu Jiao Xing who saw Mo Xian's rapid development was unwilling to admit that his young master was indeed born with such a stubborn talent and nature. One year of training together, Wu Jiao Xing often heard Mo Xian complaining about strenuous exercise, his aching body, his drowsy eyes, but his mouth and actions contradicted each other.

Mo Xian was diligently practicing every day and was even still training late into the night. Wu Jiao Xing could see Mo Xian's earnestness in martial practice.

From the beginning until now, Mo Xian had even mastered some basic moves including Li Huan and Li Zhou Ran's difficult moves, such as the Sword Dance that could make opponents confused, the Stone Punching Style that makes a punch is so powerful that it can be used to break a piece of stone, the Toxic Needle style that is difficult for the eyes of the opponent to see, and the, and of course the needle used is a poisonous needle with a secret antidote.

Mo Xian had also been able to the science of lightening the body, gathering natural energy and turning it into deep energy. Mo Xian's progress was completely in line with Li Huan and Li Zhou Ran's estimation because Mo Xian's spiritual energy core was already perfect.
