The Guardians: The Swordsman of the Moon

The Guardians: The Swordsman of the Moon
Five Years (Extra Chapter : The Other Side.)

Five days had passed since that incident, Wu Jiao Xing's state had already recovered and Mo Xian was unceasingly thanking the Gods and began to disturb Wu Jiao Xing's peace.

Mo Xian, even though she was a girl, even in her previous life she was indeed a girl who liked to get along with everyone. Her cheerful, friendly, and helpful nature makes it easy for her to be accepted by others. However, Mo Xian felt that Wu Jiao Xing did not like him, but it made Mo Xian even more fond of bothering him because to Mo Xian, Wu Jiao Xing was his older brother.

Wu Jiao Xing, Mo Xian saw the figure of his older brother in the past inside Wu Jiao Xing. It looks cold, but attentive. Likes to nag and get angry, but actually worried. Therefore Mo Xian immediately liked Wu Jiao Xing in the first month of his meeting. That was why he was so frightened when Wu Jiao Xing got injured.

However, now Wu Jiao Xing's condition was fine. Wang Xueshi said Hongbaoshi and Bai Xin's heart pill effects worked extremely well and restored Wu Jiao Xing's state, even successfully increasing his spiritual energy.

"Gee!" call Mo Xian who's staring from the window.

Wu Jiao Xing who had just woken up ignored her and pulled the blanket, covering his entire body.

Mo Xian pouted, he then jumped over the window and went inside, attacking Wu Jiao Xing by throwing his body.

"Ge, it's morning. Why didn't Gege wake up. Don't be lazy!"

Wu Jiao Xing was still defending himself from being affected by the disturbance given by Mo Xian.

"Ge .., we're going home today. Does Gege know?"

Wu Jiao Xing was aghast to the point of making Mo Xian fall to the floor as he woke up abruptly.

"Well!"

"Come home?" wu Jiao Xing asked as he helped Mo Xian with a helping hand.

Mo Xian nodded, accepted Wu Jiao Xing's helping hand and sat down on the bed.

"Who said that? The match is not finished. We haven't finished our game either, there are two more games before the final."

Mo Xian shook his head. "Gege's condition is still not that good and he's been thinking about competing."

Wu Jiao Xing stared dejectedly at the big-eyed melon face before throwing his face away.

"Dad said there were things to take care of in the city of Four Stones. Mother also said that the supply of magic potions from outside would come, so they decided to go home and cancel our match."

Wu Jiao Xing looked at Mo Xian who was now downcast, looking at his own swaying legs.

"Then why is your face like that? Don't you want to go back home?"

Mo Xian looked over. "Who said I didn't want to go back home?" mo Xian denied.

"Then?"

"Mom and Dad have been acting weird lately. Since yesterday's attack, they were acting as usual, but I could feel something they were hiding," Mo Xian said before throwing his face to the bed and sighing.

"That worries me," Mo Xian said, thinking that Li Zhou Ran and Li Huan's attitude had changed since that day. As he said his desire to be strong, they still looked fine. However, ever since they returned from their meeting with someone, Li Zhou Ran and Li Huan's attitude changed. There was a distance between them, sometimes Mo Xian looked at the two with a sad and dreamy face, but they tried to make it seem as if nothing had happened in front of Mo Xian.

However, how could Mo Xian not notice it. Their attitude change was too obvious, Mo Xian saw Li Huan and Li Zhou Ran's eyes were swollen and red indicating they had just cried.  Mo Xian did not know what problem they were facing, but Mo Xian could not ask as the two continued to act as if nothing had happened, indicating they did not want Mo Xian to know what was going on.

Instead Wu Jiao Xing who saw Mo Xian grieving could understand how Mr. Li Huan and Mrs Li Zhou Ran felt. Wu Jiao Xing could guess, yesterday's events might have hit their feelings and made them afraid that they would lose Mo Xian. After all, their enemies were not ordinary people.

Meanwhile in another room, Li Huan saw Li Zhou Ran looking out the window, watching the snow falling.

Slowly Li Huan approached Li Zhou Ran and grabbed his hand, but Li Zhou Ran immediately pulled him over, refusing to be touched.

Li Huan gasped, but he did not continue and retracted his hand.

"Laopo, do you know why I trust so much in the words of the fortune teller?" Li Huan asked while looking at Li Zhou Ran, but the woman just kept quiet, ignoring him not even looking at his face.

"Laopo, do you know how my parents died?" Li Huan asked again in a low tone. And Li Huan saw Li Zhou Ran still not responding.

Li Huan sighed and smiled wryly.

"At that time, I was only five years old. My parents were ordinary cultivators who decided to live together in the midst of ordinary humans. Wishing to build a small, simple and happy family, away from violence and fighting." Li Huan looked at his wife who was still ignoring him by continuing to stare out the window.

Sighing deeply, Li Huan lowered his head. "They went from being a cultivator to a simple farmer in a small village and lived their happy life with three children."

"At that time I never dreamed that one day I would become a cultivator who even managed to break through the emperor level. I never dreamed it at all, not even in my mind."

Li Huan smiled wryly, his lips twitching.

"Before my parents' death, I was playing on the riverbank with my two sisters. Laopo, do you know what I met back then?" Li Huan asked but Li Zhou Ran still did not respond, even though this was the first time he told his wife about his past. Li Huan realized, his wife was angry for the decision that had been taken. His wife was very affectionate towards Mo Xian, but what Li Huan was not. Li Huan, he loved Mo Xian more than he loved himself. However, there was one thing that stuck out his heart.

"I met a fortune teller, he told me 'something bad will come to you, go and take your family with you before it's too late'."

Li Huan let out a long sigh, massaging his temple.

"I'm just a five-year-old boy, I don't understand his words and ignore them. However, every time I met him he always said the same thing, and I always ignored him until the event happened." Li Huan stopped talking, his eyes began to get wet and his voice trembled slightly.

Li Zhou Ran heard her husband's voice slightly changed and she became worried, but her anger stopped her from worrying.

"A group of people came to our village. Attacking and robbing, abducting children and raping women."

Li Huan told me in a trembling voice and her chest was squeezing her heart. Even after decades, those memories still left him terrified and sad.

"My parents hid me and my sister in the closet, warning us to stay inside until they opened the door. However, from the gap of the hollow door I could see how they fought and fought for their lives."

"My father wasn't very good at fighting because his limp leg and deformed hand were killed easily after a few fights. My mom ...." Li Huan stopped talking, his chest tightened and could not stem his emotions anymore. With a trembling voice he said. "My mom was raped, took turns ...."

Li Zhou Ran who heard it was shocked, subconsciously his heart was squeezed to the point of being claustrophobic and staring at Li Huan had now knelt before him, crying.

"E-either by how many men .. until he stops breathing ... in front of my eyes .. in front of me. ya-who can do nothing but look."

"If I had listened to the words of that fortune teller, maybe it wouldn't have happened and my parents were still alive now" Li Huan said in the end, saying, he lifted his face to look at his wife who looked at him with a sad, tearful face.

Li Zhou Ran looked at her husband kneeling on the floor like the weakest and fragile human in the world, there was no trace of might on his face, everything as if apart from him, all she saw now was her helpless husband, crying before her face. However, Li Zhou Ran still did not understand what her husband wanted to convey.

"What do you really want to tell me, Laogong?" ask Li Zhou Ran.

"...."

"Do you want to say that you're going to listen to the big cat's words? He's not a fortune teller and you're no ordinary person now! You're a cultivator of the Emperor level, can't you do anything to protect your son?"

"...."

Li Zhou Ran increasingly became, his eyes filled with tears. His chest was tight, his breathing was heavy and his voice trembled.

"If you're not enough, there's me, there's the Peacock Alliance. Is that still not enough?"

"...."

"Laogong, I just want to live happily with you, with our son, can't you do it?" Li Zhou Ran slumped, she grabbed the collar of her husband's shirt and started beating Li Huan's chest.

"Laopo, I'm saying this because I have a premonition that I'm incapable."

Li Zhou Ran looked angrily at her husband.

"You give up before you try!"

Li Huan held onto both of his wife's shoulders and looked at her seriously.

"Let Xian'er descend into the Xin Yue continent. He'll be fine there."

Li Zhou Ran's eyes puffed up before slapping Li Huan.

"Why do you become an Emperor-level swordsman if you still feel fear! And for what the Peacock Alliance is, the Peacock Alliance is useless if they cannot protect my son!"

"The Peacock Alliance has its own life, Laopo."

"..." - ".Li Zhou Ran was speechless. She recalled her husband once saying the Peacock Alliance belonged to his teacher, belonged to its members, but not hers. They had their own lives, Li Huan was only tasked with leading and watching over him.

"I am responsible for my family. Laopo, please let Xian'er descend into the Xin Yue continent. Please, let him down and grow there, I can't see him get hurt." Li Huan said as he hugged his wife. "I beg you .. let him down ... I promise I will try harder to get into the level of the Sacred Realm .. Until then, let her be in the Xin Yue continent."

Li Zhou Ran was silent for a moment, his gaze blank while Li Huan leaned on him.

"Five years." Li Zhou Ran made Li Huan gasp and let go of his embrace before looking at him.

"Five years" he said. "If you can't do it in five years, I won't care and take Xian'er back."

**OTHERWISE.

~. (HUAN CLERK AND FORECASTERS*).

There is a story about Li Huan who thought the speech of an astrologer was a dead price for him.

One day, when Li Huan was five years old and was homeless with his younger siblings for five months, Li Huan relied solely on benefactors to survive, every day Li Huan would go begging on the streets so that his stomach and the stomach of his sisters could be filled with a piece of food.

That day, Li Huan was getting lucky, a benefactor gave him a few pieces of silver and two pieces of flat bread that had already hardened. With a feeling of excitement Li Huan returned to a hut that was about to collapse, where his sisters were waiting.

However, in the middle of the road Li Huan met an old man with dreadlocks, a dirty face, toothless, shabby clothes with a foul smell as if the man had never bathed.

The man stopped him.

"Little sister, I see today is your lucky day."

Little Li Huan did not reply, he hugged the two dried flatbreads in his hands.

"I am a necromancer, today you will be very lucky, but if you take home what you got today your luck will disappear, and your closest people will be sad."

Hearing him little Li Huan became frightened, his face started to get anxious and sweaty.

"Then, what should I do?"

The man smiled.

"Give me what you have then luck will come to you and misfortune will disappear from you."

Li Huan hesitantly stared at the flatbread in his hand, but in the end he gave everything he had to the man including his silver coins with an unwilling face.

The man smiled as he accepted all of Li Huan's belongings and told her to leave.

Little Li Huan said, he left by running back to his hut empty-handed, but with a joyful feeling as he remembered the man's words. Little Li Huan thought luck would really come to her that day, but when she got to her hut, little Li Huan found her sister starving.

Li Huan sadly returned to see the man but could not find him, and a beggar said he had been deceived.

Little Li Huan could only cry while running around looking for something his sister could eat, he switched from one trash can to another, he also tried to beg at everyone passing by. However, until it became dark little Li Huan had to be heartened to go home empty-handed and could only give his sister raw water to drink.

That day, there was no luck for little Li Huan and his family were sad.

At night, his sister cried from hunger, not much different from Li Huan. Seeing his sister suffer, little Li Huan sneaked in at night into a market to steal something he could eat with his sister, it was the first time Li Huan thought of stealing, and that was the first time he could steal, although little Li Huan always remembered how his parents taught Li Huan not to take what was not his, but he and his sister were starving.

Li Huan walked down a dark path and kicked something, he thought he had kicked a ball, but the moment he picked it up smelled a very sweet fragrant smell, he then bit her and a sweet taste spread in her mouth.

Knowing he had found a fruit with a very good taste the size of a coconut, Li Huan returned to his hut happily and ate with his younger siblings to the brim.

A few days passed after that, Li Huan begged as usual in the market and an unknown person came up to him.

"Little sister, did you see this fruit?"

The one who asked was his teacher in the future. He asked by showing me a picture.

Li Huan innocently nodded and replied. "I found it and ate the fruit with my brothers."

A few years later Li Huan learned that the fruit he ate was a spiritual fruit purchased by his teacher for eight hundred thousand gold pieces and seventy gemstones at the auction. It was known that the fruit was a magical fruit that could increase one's spiritual energy and raise one's cultivation level could also treat one's severe injuries. However, when the fruit is eaten by a small child, it can only increase the child's immune ability. Not wanting to lose, his teacher finally raised Li Huan and his two younger siblings as disciples.

From then on, Li Huan's life had gotten better and he no longer begged, no longer felt the heartache of having been deceived, he said, little Li Huan thought the man who had deceived him was a genuine fortune teller who had changed his life and considered the words of an astrologer to be a death price for him. Even if he was repeatedly tricked by people claiming to be fortune-tellers in his youth, Li Huan would believe the words of the fortune teller.

For example, when he liked a girl and wanted to propose to her, Li Huan came to the fortune teller. The fortune teller said Li Huan did not match the girl because the girl had guardian spirits that did not like her and would interfere with Li Huan's and the girl's life so that their relationship was unhappy, if Li Huan wanted to mate, he would have to pay some money and wear red brides all year round.

Li Huan believed in the words of the fortune teller and almost spent all his money, he said, but the girl he liked suddenly dodged because Li Huan was acting strangely by wearing red bridal clothes all year and thought she was crazy.

Li Huan was almost mad with a broken heart, he ran all the way to the forest of Jinshan mountain, electrifying his teacher, her sisters and the Peacock Alliance were afraid that Li Huan would hang himself or surrender himself to the Tao Hua demon at the foot of Jinshan mountain as a sacrifice. However, in the forest he had actually met a girl who was fighting with a group of black faction cultivators, Li Huan ignored his sadness and helped the girl fight defeat her enemy.

Finishing the fight, Li Huan noticed the girl was actually also wearing a red bridal outfit and the two exchanged stories. It was Li Zhou Ran who had run away from being forced into marriage with an official by his family, meanwhile Li Zhou Ran did not want to be a wife who had to stay at home polishing faces and gossiping with other women as well as seeing her husband bring a new wife. Li Zhou Ran wanted to become a swordsman whose name is recorded in history!

The two laughed at each other's stories, and decided to get married.

Months later, Li Huan said that the fortune teller who had deceived him had a point, the advice he gave brought him to meet the wife he loved so much more than his first love who abandoned him for thinking he had gone mad. And that made Li Huan consider the fortune teller as the most righteous and trustworthy even though it was a fraud.

Li Zhou Ran who saw how her husband trusted the fortune teller so much, started to get upset with her husband's nature. Li Zhou Ran had several times found her husband wrongly bought her order item just because the fortune teller said something to Li Huan.

"The fortune teller said purple would bring bad luck, he said green was better."

Li Zhou Ran did not like the color green.

"The fortune teller said ...."

"The fortune teller said ...."

"The fortune teller said ...."

Li Zhou Ran then gave orders to his men to remove the fortune teller from Li Huan wherever Li Huan was.

"Tell the fortune tellers, if they say one word to my husband I'll cut off their tongues."

From then on, no more clairvoyants or people pretending to be fortune tellers came to Li Huan. Even every Li Huan came to the place of the fortune teller, suddenly the place was closed and the fortune teller disappeared somewhere. People love their tongue more!
