The Guardians: The Swordsman of the Moon
Mo Shan - Xiansheng

It was as if a miracle followed Li Yixin. He wasn't destined to die after the gripping incident that night.

Although Li Yixin could not see what happened after suddenly losing consciousness. However, as a little baby who almost lost his life, he was actually still alive and very grateful for that.

The first time he opened his eyes, the face of the man who helped him last night appeared before him. The man smiled faintly and rubbed Li Yixin's petite face.

"You're finally awake too." It was the first sentence that the man had spoken to her and although his lips were smiling Li Yixin could catch that the words were nothing more than pleasantries because of the tone of his voice, it was not, the man did not seem to care much even if Li Yixin did not wake up again.

His helper was named Mo Shan. The man that Li Yixin thought was a little sane.

Ever since Mo Shan saved her, Mo Shan seemed to have decided to take care of Li Yixin.

After rescuing Li Yixin, Mo Shan briefly checked on Li Yixin's condition and found a necklace with a large pomegranate-red diamond stone pendulum.

Li Yixin, who had just seen such a luxurious and glittering piece of jewelry, admired the beauty of the thing, and thanked anyone who had given it to her. Perhaps, that thing was something Li Yixin could use to find the identity of this baby in the future. However, Mo Shan indifferently threw the necklace into the river as if it was meaningless and worthless like trash.

Had Li Yixin been him in the past, Li Yixin would have definitely dove into the river to pick up the necklace again, but she was just a baby, no doubt, all he could do was thrash around and cry as hard as he could as a form of protest. However, Mo Shan did not care and just waited for Li Yixin to get tired until she stopped crying.

In addition, the way Mo Shan cared for Li Yixin was also somewhat strange. Although Li Yixin thought Mo Shan was insane because she often saw the man suddenly laughing to himself, but it seemed like Mo Shan's acquaintances were everywhere.

Mo Shan had never really taken care of Li Yixin, normally she would leave Li Yixin in a different room every day and there would always be women coming in to breastfeed Li Yixin, feed him, bathe him and change his clothes.

Li Yixin had thought about how Mo Shan who had never talked to anyone else, was always alone, never settled down somewhere and always slept in the inn could get to know all the women who breastfed her. And again, how could all of those women be breastfeeding, doesn't that mean all of those women actually have babies, but Li Yixin had never heard or seen those babies.

Then when Li Yixin had been breastfed and fed, bathed and dressed well, she said, Mo Shan would come to take it back when everyone was either there and left without saying goodbye or thanking the women who had taken care of him.

It had occurred to Li Yixin's mind that Mo Shan's wife was everywhere, because Mo Shan very easily went in and out of the house of the woman who suckled him, but he immediately dismissed that thought because it was obviously impossible. Because since Li Yixin had joined Mo Shan, at least twenty times Mo Shan had moved around and that meant twenty women were breastfeeding Li Yixin. And Li Yixin had never once seen Mo Shan interact with them. Mo Shan came while the house was quiet, Mo Shan also left while the house was quiet. They come uninvited and leave without being delivered.

At least until Li Yixin stopped drinking milk at the age of two and a half years, Li Yixin had already been breastfed by a hundred and fifty women. And until now it was still a mystery from where Mo Shan could know all of them.

Since Li Yixin could already wear her own clothes, Mo Shan stopped leaving Li Yixin in the houses of strangers. There was a lot of time that could be spent on the two of them and Li Yixin was increasingly able to understand how lazy Mo Shan was. Almost the entire time that Mo Shan had was used on the bed.

Sometimes Li Yixin would see a bored Mo Shan yawn while muttering something, or sometimes she would laugh herself out of the blue like a madman, or sometimes he would see it as if it were daydreaming indistinctly.

Seeing all of Mo Shan's behavior, Li Yixin sometimes felt a little uncomfortable. However, since Mo Shan had been taking care of her since she was a baby, Li Yixin could not forget her kindness just like that and one day Li Yixin started calling her "Dad" because Li Yixin thought the reason Mo Shan took care of her all this time was to raise her into a child who would take care of Mo Shan in her old age.

Li Yixin also did not feel burdened if she had to take care of the strange man. At least he saved his life and took good care of it.

However, Li Yixin would not have expected that the man would say this, either,

"Don't call me father, I don't intend to have children. Call me Mo Shan-Xiansheng," he said with a smile looking at the little boy who had just turned five.

Of course, Li Yixin was not a five-year-old child, but Mo Shan's reply actually left Li Yixin shocked to death.

"Why have you been taking care of me all this time?" Of course, Li Yixin could only say that inwardly.
