The Guardians: The Swordsman of the Moon

The Guardians: The Swordsman of the Moon
Li Huan and the Horned Lion of the Dragon.

Since Li Yixin was five years old, Mo Shan who had never settled in one place suddenly decided to stay in a small hut located in the middle of the forest for a long time.

It had been at least five months since they had found a rickety hut in the middle of a forest that seemed to be a relic of the hunters. Mo Shan fixed the hut as it was, patched the hollow wall here and there and added the roof from the dried weed leaves.

Mo Shan also started planting some vegetables around the hut, hunting forest animals and catching fish for daily necessities. While Li Yixin, little Li Yixin was in charge of cleaning the hut and picking up wild fruits in the forest.

"Mo Shan-Xiansheng, I'll go find some fruit" Li Yixin told the man lying on a long chair in front of the house. Mo Shan had been lying there since morning and it was almost noon, but there was no sign that the man would rise from his sleep other than changing his sleeping position from tilting to the right, to the left and on the stomach.

Mo Shan looked at Li Yixin lazily before nodding and saying that he should not walk too far.

Li Yixin nodded, after getting permission she immediately brought Xiao Hei-the black cat she found in the forest-to accompany him in search of fruit.

Before leaving, Li Yixin once again looked at Mo Shan who was now sleeping on his back while propping up the legs between the other legs.

It had been five years that Li Yixin had been living with Mo Shan, but she had absolutely no idea of the person's background. That guy is so mysterious.

Mo Shan had never worked or traded, but he had never had any trouble with money. As expensive as any lodging, food, goods and necessities for life, Mo Shan could always pay for it.

Until now Li Yixin still thought that Mo Shan might be a young master or a hazy prince like he had read in fantasy novels.

Li Yixin also never expected that transmigration to another world would actually exist. When he was surrounded by fire at that time, he thought that his future was over and his life story ended just like that at a young age. He had not even had time to sit on the university bench that he wanted so much, let alone achieve his dreams.

However, now he was living again in an alien and ancient world. He did not know what he wanted to become in this world, however Li Yixin was not an ambitious person, for him to live a life of adequacy and being with those he cared about was enough. In fact, in the past, his ideals only wanted to become a child teacher in his village, he did not expect that his departure to study would be the end of a dream that would never materialize.

Now, Li Yixin was already quite grateful that she had returned to living in this world, meeting Mo Shan who was helping and taking care of her. He will think about what he wants to do as time goes on. After all, now he was only a five-year-old child living in the forest. What can he do in the woods?

Li Yixin stopped walking as she found the river that Mo Shan used to catch fish. The river was not very deep, rocky and had clear water. On the banks of the river there are some wild berry fruit plants, and not far from the place there are also many fruit trees such as apricots and peaches.

Li Yixin took off Xiao Hei without fear that the cute black cat would run away, because ever since she found the cat in the forest, Xiao Hei was already tame and would follow Li Yixin everywhere.

Li Yixin started picking some berries and stuffing them into the bag of shabby cloth she had brought from the hut. In addition to putting the fruit into the bag he will also put the small black fruit into his mouth and enjoy the sweet taste that spread in his mouth.

This morning Li Yixin ate the grilled yam they used for dinner yesterday because Mo Shan seemed to be lazy and did not want to do anything other than sleep all day. Li Yixin was already not surprised by Mo Shan's behavior like this, she had already seen Mo Shan lazing around almost every day. However, the man never forgot that there was a small child to be fed.

So Li Yixin did not have to worry even though Mo Shan was lazing around, by the time she came home later, lunch was already prepared even though Mo Shan's cooking was very simple. If not grilled yams, boiled vegetables and grilled fish, then it will be boiled sweet potatoes, boiled vegetables and grilled chicken or other game animals such as rabbits. Sometimes, Li Yixin wished that she could quickly grow up and be able to cook something better since she was already very tired of Mo Shan's dishes.

The only thing he could do to overcome the boredom with Mo Shan's cooking was with fruits, therefore Li Yixin would go every day to look for fruit with Xiao Hei.

However, this time something different from the usual day had happened, Li Yixin unintentionally heard a loud bang from the south. His voice was so loud, even the ground he was standing on swayed as if it was an earthquake and a strong wind was pounding his tiny body until it bounced several meters away.

Li Yixin was curious about what was happening, but she was aware that she was only a weak human, so she did not want to check what was going on. She was afraid, something bad might have happened in the south, and sure enough as she looked back, she said, he saw a gigantic beast that was shaped like a black-furred lion and had horns that had somehow emerged from nowhere roaring loudly.

Li Yixin had never seen a giant beast in her entire life even after she lived in a new world.

Li Yixin knew her soul had been transmigrated into an ancient and magical world. However, only one time did he see the fight happening before his own eyes, and it was the first day he entered this world.

During his stay with Mo Shan, Li Yixin never saw any more fighting and bloodshed. So he also did not know that in this world there was this kind of gigantic, extremely terrifying creature like this.

The creature roared up into the sky and his voice was so loud. Li Yixin covered her ears, afraid that the eardrum would rupture. The moment the creature stopped roaring, Li Yixin took the opportunity to run again, but after that she heard a loud bang above the sky.

Li Yixin looked up and saw a human figure up there. Li Yixin stared in disbelief, there was a human hovering above the sky in this world. This world was definitely not a normal world like the earth.

The figure did not seem too obvious to Li Yixin, but Li Yixin could see that the figure was fighting against the lion-shaped giant creature with the dragon horn.

The figure several times flashed a truly magical attack in Li Yixin's eyes, from the sword that the person was holding appeared a blue light that repeatedly attacked the creature, and the creature will counterattack with roars, claws and bursts of fire that emerge from its mouth.

Li Yixin who from the beginning did not want to see what was going on for fear of getting into trouble, now instead had to get involved as their fight got closer to her.

The creature seemed to have been cornered and was almost on the verge of defeat when the person managed to injure his right eye which made him stagger before it almost fell on Li Yixin who had already turned into a stone statue out of fear.

Luckily the person swiftly realized that there was a small figure there that would obviously die if the giant's body was hit.

Li Yixin came to a realization as she was taken in by a man whose state was no better than that of a giant creature she was fighting. His mouth continued to bleed and his left eye was also injured just like the creature had gotten.

The man lowered Li Yixin on the ground and looked closely at Li Yixin's condition before turning his gaze on the dragon-horned lion creature now began to shrink in size and turn into a human.

The creature turned into a black-clothed man figure in tune with his jet-black hair. Staggered the man tried to stand upright while staring at the man in white who was together with Li Yixin.

The man in black clutching his right eye that kept bleeding, he smiled sinisterly.

"Eyes paid for eyes. Li Huan, you really are a shithead! I'll pay for everything you've done to me in the future!" he shouted before disappearing.

Li Yixin who heard his words immediately looked at the man who was also injured her eyes fell silent at the black-robed man disappearing before her eyes.

"Isn't everything broken? What did that person mean because this man injured his right eye and he wanted to take this man's right eye as well?"

Li Yixin could not understand the way people in this world thought.
