The Bond of Our Love

The Bond of Our Love
CHAPTER 66 - The Plan of the Olive Lady

"I'll come. And I'm gonna steal you"

Rahul turned and walked. Shreya chased after him from behind.

"Rahul" Heid. But the man disappeared. Shreya looked around him. He could only see the view of the granite mountain as well as the blooming and spreading flowers.

As for Rahul, there was absolutely no sign of the man there. Like a lost person swallowed by the earth. Termangu shreya. Is Rahul not here? Was he hallucinating? Is that what he misses about that guy? So he can hallucinate like he's seen that guy everywhere?

He was shocked when he felt his shoulder being touched by someone from behind. A little hope fell in his heart. He turned around and without seeing who the owner of the hand was touching him, he immediately hugged the man's body.

"Hiks. Don'tgo. Don't leave me. I can't if I have to be away from you" Shreya sobbed as she slipped her face into the field. The woman's words made Dawn smile.

"No one will leave you. I will always be with you. Don't cry anymore huh" Fajar returned Shreya's embrace and tried to calm her down.

The man's voice made Shreya gasp. He knows that voice. But he was sure the voice did not belong to Rahul. Shreya let go of that hug. His body became tense seeing Fajar in front of him.

With both of his hands, the man wiped away the tears that were drenched in Shreya's face. Then he kissed the woman gently.

"Fajar stop!" Shreya shouted as she rewinded her body away from Dawn. "Please don't touch me!"

"But...."

"Yes, I know you're my husband. You have the right to do anything to me. And as a wife, I have an obligation to obey you. I know it. But I beg you this time, please understand my position.

Because I can't remember anything about you.

I don't remember when I first met you, nor do I remember when I married you. So please, give me some time to regain my memories. Or, at least until my heart can rest assured and accept you as my husband. I beg you"

Shreya cried and chattered incoherently. His troubled mind made him unable to think clearly.

Satisfied with his pent-up ego, he turned around and ran. Dawn was fixated staring at Shreya's back and long hair that ran away left him. The woman's words made her heart ache.

********

Arriving home, Shreya immediately ran inside regardless of Dawn chasing and calling out. His chaotic mind made him unable to hear anything and from anyone.

"Shreya. Shreya wait. Please listen to my explanation!"

Shreya who continued walking involuntarily crossed paths with Olive Lady, who was looking at her in wonder at the woman's attitude.

Especially when he saw Fajar who dropped himself on the sofa. And covered his face with his palm. It looks sad. Makes Olives curious.

What really happened to those two men? Did they fight? As soon as they left, they were both fine. Why are they like this now? What's the matter exactly?

Not wanting to assume too much, the middle-aged woman finally approached Dawn.

"Mmm, Sir. Sorry if I could tell, what's going on? Master had a fight with the young madam?" Ask Miss Olives in a slow tone.

"It's all my fault, ma'am. I was too carried away by feelings. Until I forget the real facts" replied the Dawn.

"I mean Sir?"

"I forgot, that he's not Shreya. She's not my wife. But I was too swept up in my role as her husband. Until I forget, if it's just a role, not reality. And the truth is, there is no marriage that binds us both.

Am I wrong Mom, if I put more feelings towards that woman? I don't know when this feeling arose and developed in my heart. But every time I see that woman, my heart feels so happy. I feel comfortable around that woman.

And, I've never felt this in any woman other than Shreya, my dead wife. Was I wrong Mom, if I opened my heart to another woman. The woman I don't know her origin at all?"

"No Sir. Sir is not wrong. The name of love comes from the heart. We cannot control our hearts to anchor to whom. Besides, I'm sure Mr. Shreya would have wanted you to be happy, with the woman you loved after his departure"

What if, later, her husband came to pick her up? How do I prevent it, ma'am? As for my status, it was just a fake husband. How can I win against a real husband?

Maybe right now he believes in the confession and all the evidence I'm giving. The evidence I've manipulated. Maybe the logic he believes in. But what about his heart? His heart could sense that I was not who he was.

Her heart knows who her real husband is. Because there is such a strong bond of love between them. Which he doesn't have with me"

The length of Dawn revealed its grievances. He looks very desperate. Making Olive Mom look at him with pity.

How cute is his young master. It felt like he could not bear to see the man he had considered like his own child grieving.

Did he have to intervene to help Dawn get the woman's heart?

*********

"Good evening Madam" Olive opened the door and entered Shreya's room, carrying a tray with her dinner menu.

"Eh, evening ma'am. Enter Ma'am" Shreya greeted the woman in a soft voice. Olive walked up to Shreya, then stood beside the woman's bed.

"Mrs, here I make dinner for Madam. Says sir, this food is good for pregnant women"

"Thank you Ma'am. Just put it there. Later I eat" Shreya pointed at the nightstand beside his bed. As the woman wished, Olive put the tray on her designated nightstand.

"Take it, madam. Let there be no small hunger" Olive warned in a soft voice.

"Yes Mom, I'll eat it"

"Mmmm.... Sorry, ma'am, I'm not afraid to interfere. If I may know, actually Madam and Mister what is the problem, so you guys fight?"

"Arrangled?" With a puzzled look Shreya replied to Miss Olives' question with a question as well.

"Sorry Madam. Is there any, Mr's attitude or actions that make the Madam angry or uncomfortable?"

"I-i...."

"Are you two husband and wife? Wouldn't it be natural for Master to do something to Madam?" Slowly the Olive Lady launched her plan to influence Shreya. Makes the woman speechless and confused as to what to answer.

Come to think of it, what that middle-aged woman said did indeed have a point. Dawn is her husband. The man has the right to do anything against him. And as a wife, she had an obligation to serve the man.

But, does that mean he is also obligated to....? Just imagining it made him creep. Why could he feel that scared? Hadn't they done it before she could get pregnant like this?

Olive smiled before continuing. "But I'm sure, if you haven't done anything to Madam. Because he appreciated the current condition of the Madam. Because right now Madam is losing her memory, and not remembering anything. But I remember everything.

I remember how you used to love each other. How much you love the Madam. He never ignored the lady. Always obey whatever wishes and requests of the Madam.

The fault of the Lord is only one. On the day of the accident, the Master refused to accompany the Lady for a walk out. And, when the accident happened, Mister was devastated and blamed himself. He cannot accept the reality"

"Can't accept the reality? Wasn't I okay after the accident?" Shreya scrunched her forehead. He felt there was an Olive Mother saying that did not fit his logic.

Realizing that she had slipped, Olive became excited until she felt the need to turn her brain again to polish her speech.

"Mmmm.... I mean, at that time Madam was seriously injured even to the point of critical. And sir was devastated then. He's afraid that the Madam won't...."

"Sorry Madam, if I interfere too much. I already consider Mr. Dawn like my own son. I have worked with his parents since he was a child. He was very sad and felt guilty about what happened to Madam.

Madam lost her memory and did not remember anything about him. Maybe he thought, if this was a punishment for him. Punishment because at that time he preferred his patients who had to be operated on, rather than accompany the Mistress who whined for company to the streets"
