The Bond of Our Love

The Bond of Our Love
CHAPTER 116 - A Very Hard Decision!!

"Yes, Papa's right. This whole thing is my fault. Because I wasn't honest from the start, until all this happened. I am not reliable. As a child, husband or father. I am useless. I am no longer blind.

I don't know if I can still be useful if Zahra leaves me. Maybe my world will be dark again, even if my eyes can see clearly. I don't know"

While returning to shed tears, Rahul spoke in a soft and soft voice. Even though the tone of his voice was no longer tight than before, but the words he uttered sounded very sad and heartbreaking.

Satisfied with roaring and mocking, Rahul left the place regardless of all who called him.

"Huldom! Rahul!"

Rahul chose to calm himself in the hospital mosque, by performing prayers, remembrance and prayers.

"Oh my God, I beg you, please save Zahra. Please save our son. Please don't make me lose them again. I can't live without them. And I can't choose any of them.

I can't sacrifice one to save the other. I want them both to survive and stay alive. I would, if my life was in its place. Please give them a chance to live. I beg you"

With tears that did not stop escaping from his eye peluk, Rahul raised his hand. Praying for the safety of his wife and future children. He's so desperate. His entire life he had never expected, if he would be faced with such a difficult choice! Where should he choose between his wife and his own son!!

How could he choose the lives of two people he loved so much?! Two very valuable people in his life!! How could he sacrifice one of them, for the sake of saving the other?!! God is the only place he can now ask for guidance and help.

Helmi and Lesti stood at the door of the mosque, and looked at their child with feelings of sadness and empathy. It felt like they were approaching and comforting their son.

But they tried to hold back, because they knew very well the nature of their child's stubbornness and temperament. If you are angry or disappointed, it will be very difficult to ask him to talk or make him understand.

Dawn appeared and stood behind Helmi and Lesti. He codes Om and his Tantenya to keep them there, and allows her to meet Rahul and try to talk to him. Helmi nodded her head and gave a counter code, that she approved Dawn's proposal.

The dawn enters the mushola. Then he sat beside Rahul who was rubbing both palms to his face after finishing his prayer.

"Rahul, I really understand how you feel right now. Because I also once felt there was a position in you. And I'm sorry, too, because I've also been involved until things get messy like this. But I think now is not the time to discuss that issue first.

Because right now, all we have to prioritize is Zahra and your son. Their lives are in your hands now. It's in your decision. I know you have to make a very tough decision.

But isn't it better to save and sacrifice one of them? Rather than sacrificing both? Zahra doesn't have much time. Please calm yourself, and make a decision with a clear head"

Come to think of it, what Fajr said does have a point. He could not for too long dissolve in sadness, disappointment and anger. Because Zahra and the baby don't have much time to wait.

But, which one of them should he save?! And, could he sacrifice one of them?!!

Wearing sterile clothes, Rahul met Zahra who was still lying unconscious in the ICU room, with a number of medical devices installed in his body such as ventilators, infusions, monitors and so forth.

Rahul's heart seemed to be sliced to see the woman lying helplessly like that! The Zahra she knew was a cheerful, bar-bar, strong and tough female figure. It was even able to make him a strong and steadfast figure accepting the test of his life. But now?!!

If their positions could be exchanged, he was eager to replace the current Zahra! He wanted every pain that had plagued Zahra to move on to him! He was willing to accept the terrible pain, instead of seeing his wife and son in pain and in such a critical condition!!

"Honey.... Wake up. It's me, your Satyamu. I can't look at you like this. I miss my cheerful Bellek daughter and the bars so much. Who always brings my smile. Didn't you promise to love me? Didn't you always say, if you can't get away from me?"

Rahul tried to smile on the sidelines of tears that never stopped dripping and wet his face. He clasped Zahra's hand gently.

"So never do that. Don't leave me. You know, I've prepared a lot of surprises for you. Surprise that I'm so sure, can make you jump for joy. If you're not around, how are you going to take a surprise from me"

He occasionally dipped his wife's hand-drawn book. He also stroked Zahra's hair which did not respond at all to his actions. The atmosphere of the room seemed quiet. All that was heard was the sound of Rahul's wailing and the monitor beside Zahra's bed.

He tried to talk to Zahra. Hoping that Zahra could hear and there was a miracle that could heal his wife! So that he did not need to make the difficult choice!! But apparently, hope is only hope.

The doctor who had just entered the room tried to approach Rahul slowly. And try to speak as carefully as possible with the man. Wishing so much that he could understand and not rampage like before.

"Sorry sir, we don't have much time. Please, please make a decision immediately. Because the operation must be done immediately. If we delay any longer, we're afraid that neither Zahra's mother nor her baby will survive"

Rahul remained silent for a while. His gaze looked sad and hollow. Then she looked back at Zahra and stroked her hair. Then he kissed his wife.

Then he looked at Zahra's distended stomach and stroked her as well. After that he kissed the stomach that contained the blood of his flesh. It seems he is ready, to make a decision.

While enduring the pain in his heart that inevitably had to make difficult decisions, Rahul looked straight ahead and said firmly.

"Save my wife"
