The Bond of Our Love

The Bond of Our Love
CHAPTER 14 - Living In The Back Home

But his mind was very confident, that this was the best way for him and them. Because he was tired of living a depressed life, ostracized by his own family. She wants to live comfortably with people who can appreciate and accept her for who she is.

He was also not sure if his family would be happy if he knew he was still alive. He was not sure that they still expected his presence in their midst. Maybe for them he was dead in the accident. He'll be like that too. His family died in that incident.

Zahra looked at Rahul with pity. He could see the deep sadness on the man's face. It's so sorry this guy. He has lost those closest to him. Plus the condition that must be friends with darkness.

Now where will he find a place to shelter.

**********

"Assalamualaikum Ma!" Zahra and Rahul have just arrived at Zahra's humble abode.

"Waalaikum salam" his mother's voice came from inside. Soon the door opened from the inside, and it appeared that Mrs Sakinah opened the door while pushing the wheel of her wheelchair.

"Eh, Mother's child has come home" Sakinah smiled gently at the mere presence of the princess.

"Yes Ma'am" Zahra greeted her mother by kissing the back of the woman who had given birth to her.

The gaze of Bu Sakinah finally fell on Rahul who was standing behind Zahra with a questioning look. Who will be the figure of a handsome man, who uses a stick that comes with his son.

Understanding the meaning of his mother's gaze, Zahra immediately introduced the man to his mother.

"Eum....Ma'am, meet Rahul" he said pointing at Rahul.

"Mom, I'm Rahul" Rahul approached Sakinah and tried to grab the middle-aged woman's hand. Zahra helps Rahul to shake his mother's hand. Rahul kisses Sakinah's hand.

"I'm Sakinah, Zahra's mother" Sakinah smiled kindly.

"Yes" replied Rahul clumsily.

"Oh, so this is the handsome patient you used to tell me about? Which he said his good looks beat those Bollywood actors. Pantesan made your heart melt. Iha wong her face made her drool" Sakinah half whispered to Zahra. Every now and then she glances at Rahul, with a teasing smile that expands on his face.

"Oh Mother, does she eat what makes her drool? Later if he heard it could be kegeeran again" Zahra grumbled to look at his mother and Rahul with mixed feelings. Between keki and shame.

Moreover, seeing the man crybaby praised by his mother. You shitty guy. Must be god-level paddies now.

"Ehem" Rahul cleared his throat. He just stood there listening to the mother and the child gossiping.

"Son Rahul, come on in. Let me make you a drink later" invited Madam Sakinah friendly.

"Yes Ma'am"

************

"Oh..... So you just got out of the hospital. And now there's no place to live?" cecar Bu Sakinah when the three were already in the guest room.

"Yes Mom. And now I'm confused where to go. I also have no money. Let alone to find a place to live, to pay for my treatment during the hospital alone, I do not have" said Rahul Lirih.

"Where is your family, son? why don't you just ask them for help?" ask Mrs Sakinah again. But this time Zahra answered.

"Eum. Only he survived. Until found by residents on the edge of the river"

"Astaghfirullah azim. You are patient, my son. You must be strong. Claim your parents. You have to be sure, you can get through this difficult time" Ms. Sakinah encouraged with empathy.

"Thank you Mom"

"So how's Mom?" Zahra looked at her mother.

"Eum. Behind this house is an empty house. Belongs to Mother's sister who is now living in the city. If you want, for a while you can stay there. His house was small and a bit messy. Because it has been uninhabited for a long time. But let it sleep, and protect you from the rain and the sun. Let Zahra help you clean it up. How's it?" Tawar Bu Sakinah is friendly.

"Don't Mom and Zahra feel bothered by my presence here? I just don't want to be a burden to you" Rahul felt bad. There was a feeling of guilt running through his heart. He has lied to people as good and sincere as Zahra and his mother. But he really had no other choice. Only they could make it a place to lean on right now.

Hopefully someday, there will be a chance for him to repay their kindness towards her. And hopefully, they will not feel disappointed, if they find out the lie later. Hope so.

"You don't have to feel that way, Rahul. I don't feel bothered at all. Isn't it Ra?" Madam Sakinah glanced at Zahra who returned her glance with a smile.

"Mom was happy to help. You can also think of Mom as your own mother. So you don't worry about it"

"Let Zahra accompany you there. Now drink first. The drink will be cold again"

"Yes Ma'am" Rahul took a drink glass at the table, and gulped it down with a feeling of relief. At least for now he already had a place to stay.

Hopefully this will be a good start for a new chapter of his life.

*****

"Once again thank you, for allowing me, to ride in your house" said Rahul sincerely.

"Since yesterday, you have continued to say thank you. Not bored though? I'm tired of hearing it all the time" tweeted Zahra with a cool hand cleaning the dust on the wall, without looking at Rahul who was seriously talking.

Both are cleaning and tidying up the back house that will be used as a place to live Rahul for a while.

"Then what should I say? If there are people who help us in trouble, we

should I thank him?"

"I'm sorry, this house is smaller than the house I and I live in. How else, this is all we have. Impossible, you stay with me and Mom. What the neighbors said. It may even cause slander, because we are not muhrim"

Said Zahra not feeling good. Rahul was stunned to hear his words. Until the activity that was mopping the floor stopped for a moment.

"Yes-yes, you're right. It is not appropriate for men and women who are not muhrim to stay. Maybe later we will even khilaf yes" replied Rahul nervously.

"Yes very right. A great sin if we commit adultery because of the seduction of Satan. My mother also often advised. The great woman is not a woman who is good at beautifying and showing off the beauty of her body, to make men tempted to have the beauty of her crown. But that great woman, is a woman who is good at maintaining and maintaining her self-esteem and precious crown. Which he will only offer to the man who edits him. And I always pray to Allah, that he may be kept away from the sight of the lecherous eye. Because I don't want to let you down"

The length of the Zahra is philosophical. Rahul's feelings are further clouded by shame.

How not, all the words that the girl threw were like a slap for her. All this time, when his eyes were still functioning properly. He used it to see the wretchedness. Seeing the beauty of a woman's body without a thread, it was common for her. Not even infrequently, he did the perverted act on the bed.

Now he could no longer use those eyes to see anything anymore. Is all this a form of rebuke or punishment from God?

Huh.he really felt ashamed of himself.

"Your mother was a great woman. You must be very proud to have a mother like her" Rahul smiled softly.

"Yes of course. Every child should be proud of their parents, right?"

"Not all"

Zahra approached Rahul as soon as she noticed the sadness that began to re-envelop the man's heart.

"Did you think back to your parents?" Ask Zahra slowly.

"No. Why do I remember them? Not necessarily they remember me" Rahul again moved the broom mopping the floor and turned his face away. She did not want Zahra to read the look of sadness on her face.

"Aren't your parents dead?" Zahra scrunched her forehead.

"Mmm.. I mean, if they're alive, not necessarily they're thinking of me" Rahul polishes nervously.

"I don't know what happened between you and your family. I don't want to interfere in your problems either. But I just want to say one thing. Whatever mistakes your parents made. No matter how much wounds they inflict on your heart. I am sure that, in the depths of their hearts, there is still love for you. Because there can be no parents in this world who do not love their children. So remove the anger in your heart and forgive them"

Zahra clasped Rahul's hand and said softly.

"Thank you for advising me. But if I could, I wouldn't want to discuss that matter right now. Because I just want to focus on my new life"

"Yes, I agree with you. Close the old sheet, then open it and focus on the new sheet" Zahra smiled sweetly.

"Oh yeah, it's done. Now the house is pretty clean and clean. Starting tonight, you can already stay here. And for mattresses, seprays, blankets and pillows I will bring from home. For dinner, I'll bring it after Magrib. All right, I'll go back first. Have a good break"

Zahra walked towards the door. His steps were stopped by Rahul's words that sounded soft and deep.

"Again thanks for everything. I honestly don't know what's going to happen in my life. If I hadn't met you. You are the fairy God sent to help me with my troubles. Thanks again very much"

"Heuum. interesting philosophy. But unfortunately, I prefer the nickname as an angel rather than a fairy. And. I'm also tired of hearing the word thank you from you. Than you keep saying those words. You better think about how to make me happy. That way I can change it, I said thank you once in a while. All right, I'll go home first. Good afternoon"
