The Black Pirates

The Black Pirates
CH. 44 – Responsibility

Amidst the high-pitched cheers, a smile mixed with laughter, suddenly there was a loud rumble heading towards them.

Instantly the atmosphere turned gripping with the roar of the wind blowing fiercely.

"What's that romance? A–apa may–"

"Have it, don't worry about it!" Tabra cut the words of the men quickly.

"Ka–kapten?" Point one of the men to the back of Akma Jaya.

Akma Jaya turned her head in that direction, only to be surprised to see the enormous size of the dragon.

How big the Dragon was that his entire body covered the sunlight.

"Ba–how is it possible? How many dragons are there on this island?" Inner Akma Jaya looked at the dragon.

Tabra clucked in annoyance, while Aisha gulped her saliva, they were all unable to do anything.

Akma Jaya continued to struggle, before long the dragon immediately spouted fire from its mouth, they all tried to dodge quickly. Fortunately there were no casualties, they all survived the burst of dragon fire.

Tabra had already reached his limit, he was already hobbled in the face of a small-sized dragon, now a large-sized dragon appeared. Fate took them all.

"It sucks!!" Tabra shouted towards the horizon.

Akma Jaya is just unmoved, Aisha pulls up Tabra's collar, dragging her to take cover.

Now, they were all sheltering, hiding behind a fairly large rock, fortunately on the edge of the cliff it was composed of several large stones.

Perfect place to be made a shield–protection place. Tabra rested for a moment to relieve fatigue and invert his stamina.

"Captain, it's too dangerous for us to face the dragon, we better go home!" One of the men trembled in fear.

"Don't do that, I have a way to solve this problem!"

"How do you mean? Ba–how can we possibly fight him!?"

"Not against it, but we're going to trace the nest, I'm still curious, actually how many dragons are there on this island?"

"Wouldn't that waste a lot of time, Captain?"

"If you were faced with two choices, which would you choose?"

"A choice between wasting your life time or you running out of your life being burned by a torrent of dragon fire?"

So, they were silent, did not say a word after hearing the two choices made by Akma Jaya. Those who denied now nodded their heads slowly.

***

Akma Jaya and his followers traced the dragon's trail, the crevices of the cave passage carefully, strangely they did not find a single dragon, not even the dragon that had appeared before them, there's nothing at all.

"Captain, this is surprising! There's nothing here!" One of the men uttered a speech.

"Yes, captain. It's astonishing! That's right what he said!" Aisha.

Akma Jaya pondered for a moment with her hand holding her chin.

"Captain, then let's continue the search for the treasure!" Tabra offered an opinion.

Akma Jaya was just unmoved, she did not answer Tabra. "Captain!" Tabra felt Akma Jaya daydreaming, she patted him several times with her hand.

"Aisha, what do you think?" tabra looked at Aisha.

"We await the captain's decision!" answer Aisha succinctly.

"Well, we'll wait for him!"

Shortly after, Akma Jaya wakes up from her daydream. "All right, everybody! I've decided to continue this journey alone, as you always wait outside!" Akma Jaya called for what she had in mind.

"Ka–kapten, what exactly is your plan?" Tabra asked a question signifying her rejection.

"This is not something I can talk about easily!"

"Captain, it would be nice in my opinion, we are all together in tracing this cave, if there is any danger, we can help each other!"

"Tabra, there's something I can't explain to you!"

"Whatis that? Just explain it to me. I'll understand your explanation, captain!"

"Captain–"

"Tabra, that's enough!" Akma Jaya cuts fast the word Tabra.

"Have you not been with me for a long time? You also know my father, but I'm a little different from him, it's just a matter of responsibility!"

"Imresponsible? You sacrifice yourself, is that what you mean?"

"Captain, some things are there that you don't understand, not just about responsibility!"

"Lantas, what do you mean? What don't I understand?" Akma Jaya asked with an astonished-looking face.

"Have you forgotten about it?" ask Tabra.

Akma Jaya pondered it a little. "I only remember a little memory because the dream made me a pomegranate, what exactly was Tabra talking about?" Batin Akma Jaya muttered after Tabra asked if she had forgotten him.

"Captain!"

Tabra again exclaimed, making Akma Jaya flinch daydream.

"You don't worry! As long as we are together and unite forces together, we will be fine!"

"Yes, Captain!" Aisha spoke the words of Tabra.

"Captain, we'll all stay with you!" All the men said it.

"Alright, since you all want to follow me, come with me!" Akma Jaya smiled looking at them.

Those who heard him seemed happy because Akma Jaya had allowed them to come with him.

Akma Jaya and the people who followed him through the cave, step by step they walked, saw the dark alleys of the cave.

Don't know why? Inside the cave was so quiet, there was no sound of dragons, except the heat that was still felt.

"Here the heat is so hot!" Tabra started to grumble.

"Well, you are a weak man!" Aisha seemed to mock Tabra with her slow voice.

"Loose? Hah .. are you kidding? Didn't you see my ability to fight dragons just now?" Tabra started with a silly face.

"While you're just hiding in the bushes!"

"Hey, without me the dragon would not have fallen!"

"Hey, you're only aiming for the eyes, the captain is the one who knocked him down!" Tabra replied to Aisha.

"The point is, without me. You two will have a hard time facing that dragon!" Aisha returned to reply.

Some of the men chuckled at the two of them who were mocking each other, while Akma Jaya ignored the behavior of the two of them.

***

Before long, they all came to the golden-toothed skull emblem, the emblem was so strange, on the right and left side engraved kono writing and literary writing that could not be understood.

"Captain, this is the emblem mentioned in the legend!" Aisha uttered a speech.

"The legend? What do you mean?"

"The legend of the Red Pirates!"

"Red Pirates?!"

"Yes, Captain. he said they were a pirate group that shed a lot of blood, wherever they were then fresh bloodshed would scatter, they were a bunch of pirates who were so fond of blood!"

Some of the men frowned in fear from hearing it.

"Is that right? Don't you just make it up?" Tabra started again.

This time, Aisha stepped on him until Tabra was in pain holding her left leg which was hit by the stampede.

"Aaa–adduh ...."

"Aisha, you're so outrageous!" Tabra thrashed in annoyance.

"That's the result, you're so brave to say my words, that I haven't finished saying them!"
