Sapphira sat in the back seat waiting for Reffan who appeared to be talking to Bayu. His feelings are mixed now. Actually he was happy and grateful because Reffan came to his aid, he himself could not imagine how the end of the night if Reffan did not come. When the hijab slipped from her head she suddenly trembled unable to think again what she should do other than try to cover her open aura.
But Sapphira was also ashamed of Reffan because his aura was open in front of Reffan and the brand men earlier. Sapphira felt that she had failed to protect herself, she could not meet Reffan again. Safira was still daydreaming when the steering door was slammed with Reffan already sitting behind the wheel. Sapphira arrived to be aghfar in surprise.
Sapphira leaned her back creating the furthest distance with Reffan. He did not dare even look at Reffan's back. In his heart he wondered why Reffan was sitting on the steering wheel. Sapphira was really worried just the two with Reffan. His hands were squeezing each other with his head continuously lowered.
When the car was stopped, Safira ventured to speak.
"Sir Reffan will take me home right?" Safira.
"You don't see your condition? I'm taking you to the hospital." Her voice is firm.
"Don't sir please, I just want to go home now."
"Why can you still argue with Sapphira. You don't realize your mistake."
"Especially because I know I was wrong. I want to go home, I don't want to see Mr. Reffan again. I'm ashamed, I'm not a woman who can take care of myself. I just want to go home now."
"What do you mean you don't want to see me again?" Reffan and Sapphira spoke without facing each other. Sapphira looked at her fingers squeezing each other while Reffan looked straight ahead.
"Sir, I don't think our wedding plans need to continue."
"Why?" Reffan's voice was already like a shocking lightning.
"I have failed to take care of myself. I am ashamed my veil has been revealed in front of others who are not lawful to me." Two tears had escaped from the corner of Safira netra.
"You are so selfish, Sapphira. That easy you're going to go you think of me as what?" The steering was already hit by an angry-sounding Reffan.
Sapphira with all her might held the clear grain that wanted to flow from the corner of her eyes heard Reffan saying he was selfish. Safira just wanted to go and forget about the incident. This was the first time his aurat was implied in the presence of men instead of muhrim and it made his pride no longer intact.
"Thank you for your help, Mr. Reffan. I'd better just go home by taxi." Her tears didn't know they were on her cheeks. Safira grabbed the door handle to get out. But the door is locked. Repeatedly he tried to open the door hoping Reffan was sensitive and let him go.
"Sir, please open the door!" Pinta Safira with a raucous voice.
Reffan only fell silent, his hand gripping the steering wheel firmly. He took a deep breath and then exhaled his coarse breath.
"Safira I saw you earlier. I'll make sure the thug doesn't see a thing, the bastard's been blown away before he saw you. I saw some of your hair earlier, I also saw your neck earlier. Shouldn't I be in charge now?"
Sapphira's face flushed to hear Reffan's words. He was glad the brandan had not seen himself. But shame on Reffan seeing it.
"I'm going to marry you tonight, we're going to Salman's sir's house now."
"What?" Safira was surprised by Reffan's words "Can't be so sir."
"Why? I have to take responsibility for seeing you earlier. So we're just speeding up our marriage. Now we go to Yogya" Reffan said casually. Reffan is already running his car.
Safira patted the back of Reffan's chair.
"Wait sir. Please, don't do this." Safira's hand still patted Reffan's chair.
Reffan stopped the car again.
"So how should it be? Now or as planned. I don't mind marrying you early." Reffan had smiled meaningfully.
"As was the original plan, sir. Please don't tell my parents about this. Tomorrow my parents and my brother are going to Surabaya, please don't say anything about tonight's incident to them."
"Looks like your family needs to know about Safira tonight." Reffan glanced at Safira from the rearview mirror.
"I beg you not sir. I don't want them to worry."
"I'm asking for a fee to cover up tonight's events."
"What?" Sapphira was surprised, she did not expect Reffan to ask for anything.
"How do you pay?"
"How much do I have to pay?" Sapphira asked him. His mind began to calm down.
"I'm not asking now. But you have to promise to do it."
"Do what?"
Safira fell silent, estimating what kind of payment Reffan was asking for.
"You don't want to? All right it's okay. Should your family know?"
"Don't sir. Yes, I want to." With a heavy heart Sapphira agreed to Reffan's request.
"I'm writing down your debt. At times I'll charge it." Reffan said in a resolute tone withstanding a smile.
What else did Safira do besides silence.
"Now tell me about what happened, what did you do outside until night?" Reffan wanted to hear what Sapphira was doing after work. Although he actually knew where Safira was.
"So the senior at work invited a treat at the karaoke place for his birthday. I cannot refuse. I also went home first, friends are still there all."
"Huh... Does Bagas exist?" Ask Reffan curiously
"No, he didn't go to work today."
"Why are you so attentive that you know he's not coming in."
"It's natural that my sir is indeed an office with him, which is unnatural that you why you are so attentive to ask Mr. Bagas?"
"Haha... You've started to be smart to reverse the words yes. Hem?" Reffan laughed at Safira's reply. "Then why did you meet those thugs?"
"I checked the wheels of the car because there was a problem. I was surprised to see the broken wheel. When I was about to get in the car, they held me."
"Then? You fighting?"
"I was forced, because I wanted to escape from them so inevitably I had to face them. What do they really want? they didn't even snatch the keys or ask for anything from me."
"That means you're their goal." Reffan growled furiously.
Sapphira hugged herself. Suddenly his body shuddered considering the incident earlier. What if Reffan doesn't come? He himself did not want to imagine it. "Why are they after me?" There was a voice trembling with Sapphira, but Reffan could still hear it.
It did not feel like they were in front of Safira's house.
"You don't want to go down? Wanna come with me?"
Sapphira who hugged her body was surprised not to realize that she was in front of the house.
"Eh, my bag. I forgot it, it was still in the car." Safira only realized leaving the bag just like that.
"This you mean?" Reffan showed Safira's bag which he had taken from the bench next to him.
"Ah yes thank you." Safira was so happy to see her bag, she almost couldn't enter the house earlier.
Safira opened the fence padlock, Reffan followed behind him. Then open the whole fence.
"Sir Reffan why are all the fences open?" Safira asked astonishment.
"I'm waiting for Bayu. So can't papa I put the car in the yard? I wait in the car. You just go inside."
"Sorry I'm a hassle, this must be because of my car huh?" Safira spoke while looking down.
"Have come in and rest."
Safira hurriedly entered. And closed the door from the inside but stopped when Reffan called out to him.
"Saffira."
"Yes, what's wrong, sir?"
"Thank you for taking care of yourself before I came. Now don't think of anything, you can only think of me."
Safira looked at Reffan for a moment, then looked down again and closed the door. "Assalamu'alaikum." She said shyly as her cheeks suddenly warmed.
"Wa'alaikumsalam." Reffan answered smiling happily to see the blushing face of his heart.
