First Meeting With Elves

The arrival of the Elves angered us, and Tygruth began to move his teeth while holding a knife in his right hand. So did I who was holding the sword, and the rope simultaneously. In this way I can attack from afar, I am quite proficient because I practice often. But the problem is the trees that disturb this.

Not only that, the Elves have magic power that has been trained since childhood. Unlike us cat people, only the chosen ones are taught magic power. Though it was not like this, but because of an incident in the past that occurred in the village of cat people.

Making magic users in the limit, because at that time there were some traitors who attacked the cat humans with his magic. But fortunately the incident was saved, with the strength of the village leader, and the other cat people. But as a result some of them escaped somewhere, and some of them were arrested, and killed as punishment.

Therefore the village leader limited the use of magic, because of past events that made the inhabitants suffer greatly because of the loss of many of their family members. There are no special conditions for being the chosen one, the village leader will only choose a few of us who he thinks are right to learn magic power.

But at the moment our situation is very precarious with the arrival of this pointy-eared human. Even though only one person had come from their nation, and this Elf looked young. We must remain vigilant of the magic power they possess, because the Elves are given a long life, so we do not know how long he has lived, he said, and how much magic he had.

"I didn't come here to attack you guys" said the Elf who suddenly spoke in this gripping state with an extremely cold gaze.

"Then what is your purpose in coming to this forest!?" asked Tygruth who seemed to dislike the arrival of this Elf.

"Why indeed? are we Elves not allowed into this forest? this forest is your territory. Just because you guys hunt around here so much, do you think of this place as yours? that so?" the Elf said with her scathing words.

"You still talk a lot, don't you? don't you see the situation? you're now outnumbered tofu!" reply Tygruth, I would love to stop this dispute, and establish a good relationship with this Elf. But is it possible that someone like me could change this hatred?.

"Why indeed? you don't have magic power, do you? haha! it's funny" said the Elf, which made Tygruth even more annoyed with his words.

"You... What are you doing, Gernath!?" asked Tygruth who wanted to jump, and attacked the Elf. But I immediately blocked it with my hand. I very much hope that with this the relationship of the Leonists, and the Elves can improve because of this.

"You said you didn't come here to find trouble with us, did you?" I said I asked him a question.

"Yes..."

"Well then, forgive my friend who made you feel uncomfortable" I said, bowing before him.

"Huh!? what are you doing in front of that Elf? you put the Leonists to shame, Gernath!" said Tygruth who was surprised to see my actions bowing in front of a nation other than Leonis.

"Shut up, and you bowed as much as I did, Tygruth" I said, to Tygruth's surprise, but Tygruth followed my words with an annoyed face. Though I wanted to have a good relationship with fellow Leonists to be friends, but on the other hand I wanted to improve our relationship of the Leonists with the Elves.

"Why are you bowing your body in front of me?" asked the Elf in surprise.

"You! still don't know yourself!" said an irritated Tygruth, and took out his knife back.

"Stop that Tygruth, Mr. Elf, we bow before you because we believe it is wrong" I said.

"I know that, but why are you bowing like that, and again I am a different nation to you" said the Elf who did not change the look on her face. Although his face is very annoying, but I have to be patient to live it. It might just be a face shown to strangers like us.

My words made this atmosphere awkward, and again I shocked Tygruth until his mouth opened. Indeed this is a word that makes no sense, or may be difficult to understand. Because we didn't like each other for a long time.

"......Cih... nonsense, building a good relationship what do you mean!? I better get out of here" said the Elf who turned her back and left.

"Hey you're a base! just be careful if we meet again, you'll be finished in my hands!" shouted Tygruth loudly as he jumped.

Then suddenly the Elf threw us a bag, "Take this. Then I caught the bag, and opened it to see the contents inside, I was quite surprised, and a little pleased with the thing he gave me.

It turned out that he gave the tree seedlings of the elves to us. I don't know what the purpose is, it doesn't seem like he's an evil Elf. Perhaps with this was the beginning of our Leonist nation to establish a good relationship with the Elves. But it seems like he came here, while carrying a bag containing plants from this Elf nation, he seems to want to plant these seeds in this forest.

"I admit this plant has caught my attention a little because of its beauty. But we better throw it away" Tygruth said.

"I won't throw away any gifts from him, let's plant this tree seedling here" I said excitedly.

"Huh!? wh-wh-what for? I don't think about everything you're doing right now. Why are you so interested in that Elf?" ask Tygruth.

"I just want peace." I said that made Tygruth speechless, and the wind began to blow violently.

"Are you serious about what you say?" it was Tygruth who glared at me that gave me goosebumps of fear, and again he was grasping a knife very tightly in his hand.

"Te-of course..what's that weird? haha.." I said trembling.

"I also want a peace like you mean. Maybe the world would be nice if we lived together" Tygruth said with a sad smile at me. I'm also happy that I'm not the only one who wants this peace.

"Well let's plant this tree seed, as a form of our first meeting with the Elves, and as a form of the beginning of our relationship with the Elves!" I said with great enthusiasm.

Then after that we went home together, I helped Tygruth to bring his hunting results. Tygruth went back to see his family with great pleasure, happiness, and love on their faces. I could only smile looking at them from afar, while wishing I had the same family as Tygruth.

Then after I drove Tygruth home with his quarry. I went home, but just as I was about to go home, Tygruth took my hand, and smiled at me. Likewise with his family who smiled broadly at me, I who saw him became embarrassed, and confused by what was happening at this time.

"Before you go home, how about we eat together at my house?" asked Tygruth who made my heart happy to hear it. Then I accepted her offer gladly, even though I felt a little uneasy with her family.

Tygruth has two younger brothers who look like him, Tygruth is the eldest of the brothers. We were eating together at Tygruth's house with the game we caught in the woods. Tygruth also recounted what happened when we were hunting in the forest.

I was a little embarrassed because Tygruth told his family that I was a genius. His words were too exaggerated, to the point that I could not endure my embarrassment. But as for the story about our meeting with the Elves earlier, Tygruth did not tell it.

Because for us to tell something related to other nations is taboo for us. Maybe this also applies to other nations, well, anyway today is probably my favorite day. Full of unexpected miracles at the same time, I was so happy.
