The Power of Peace

That night really made us all awkward. We were gathered in one room, in the middle of the silence it was just the sound of a heartbeat that was heard. The gaze of the village leader was so sharp that it gave us goosebumps. Especially for some reason the village leader looked at me constantly, was it possible because of the unfriendly welcome earlier huh.

"What did you do to the village leader!" tygruth whispered while squeezing my knee.

"Sick woi.. later I will explain" I whispered while enduring the pain.

Then suddenly in the silence the village leader began the conversation, "You're called Gernath?" ask the village leader seriously. As soon as my name came out of his mouth I somehow felt a bad feeling was going to happen to me. Yet the two of them just looked at me with a smile, annoying.

"Truly, I'm Gernath" I said nervously.

"Can you show me the sword I gave you?" ask the village leader.

"Of course, I will immediately go take it, master of the village leader" said I who immediately hurriedly took my sword. After that I sat back down, and gave it to the village leader. I don't know what's going to happen, if maybe the village leader will take back the sword he's given.

If that happens I will take it back even if I have to die. Because that's just a legacy from my parents, and this house. Although this house was not as big as it is today, because I have renovated this house, but still I did not change the style of this house since long ago.

"Maybe you've already sensed a strange occurrence with this sword, right?" said the village leader while stroking his sword blade.

"Yes, it was like there was power stored in the sword" I said, which surprised Tygruth, "True! I've seen something strange with that sword. When I was out hunting with Gernath, the sword was able to get into our game, and it didn't come off as soon as we pulled it out of the hole" Tygruth said.

"Not only that! sometimes I use that sword as a spear. As soon as I threw it the sword floated at high speed, syuuu! like that! anyway very fast" said I who even chatted with Tygruth in front of the village leader.

Then Mouri entered into our conversation, while the village leader felt he was not appreciated. So cool we chatted about the oddity of the sword that I have, we forgot that from then on the village leader noticed us with a gloomy face.

"Ehem.." All of us who were chatting immediately stopped. Then we bowed our heads while apologizing for not paying attention to the village leader who had been willing to come to our house even though I still did not know what the purpose, and the intention of the village leader visiting our house.

"I want to ask you, why are you so insistent on making a good relationship with the Elves?" ask the village leader who is at the end of the conversation, and this atmosphere becomes very serious.

I boldly answered the village leader's question, "Because we want a peaceful world, without hatred. We just want to live in peace with other nations, because I think it would be a lot of fun, and of course the world would be more beautiful, wouldn't it?" I said seriously.

"Just because you already have a good relationship with one Elf. You concluded it would be that easy to establish a good relationship to the entire Elf nation?" said the village leader who surprised me, because he knew a big secret known only to me, and also Tygruth.

"Huh!? what does this mean?" asked the confused Mouri, and looked me in the eye sharply because I didn't tell you about this. Because if I tell this to Mouri, it's possible that Mouri will be very sad, and hate the Elves because they hurt her best friend Tygruth.

"So you haven't told him this yet?. Well then let me tell him myself. Mouri, who had injured Tygruth to death a few months ago, was because of the Elves" said the village leader who surprised Mouri.

"What's!? th-that's impossible? answer my question" said Mouri with teary eyes.

Therefore there is no possibility, even a fraction of that possibility.there is no such thing as peace.remember it is good" said the village leader who immediately left his seat.

Then I stood up, "What the village leader said was true Mouri. Even so, we will never give up on what we expected! no matter how hard life we live, we will continue to move forward to world peace" I said.

As soon as I heard my words, the village leader stopped his steps, "We? what do you mean? look at the faces of your friends, Mouri. Does he still agree with your expectations?" said the village leader.

"I will never change the path I have chosen. I will stay with you to achieve our common hope. Since we will always be together, we will never be apart!" mouri said with excitement, and a smile that returned wide.

"You're right! we'll always be together" I said, and Tygruth.

"You guys, from tomorrow onwards I will visit this house at night" muttered the village chief who then left.

"So what did he say?" ask Tygruth.

"Let's see, maybe it's a matter of breaking our expectations" I said.

"We have to make a promise together, that we will continue together until the end!" I shouted as an encouragement.

Me, and Tygruth, did not expect that Mouri would remain on the path she chose. We thought that once we saw his face that was in shock once we knew the truth about why Tygruth was so badly injured like that, Mouri would leave us both, as well as our mutual expectations.

But thank goodness it didn't happen, and vice versa. I was so scared that Mouri was leaving us. But I was so relieved to hear it once he still maintained with what he expected even though he knew the worst truth.

After the village leader left, then we talked about something, "Hey how about we give a name to the group that wants to make this world peace!" I say with spirit.

"It's too childish to ever have to give a name to our group" Tygruth said.

"All right, I agree!" mouri said with sparkling eyes. It seemed that Mouri was very interested in this topic of conversation.

"How about we name our group after the name of the cool people's society!" I said confidently, but they all looked at me grimly. It seems from the face they are very dislike my proposal.

"What kind of name are you saying? very bad" said Mouri whose words were very piercing.

"What's the right name then? oh yeah I know a cool name! what if the name of this group was, three invincible knights!" I said with fire.

But like before, they did not like the proposal I gave them. After that we talked about the right name for our group. But Tygruth seems not interested in this topic, because from now on he just kept quiet like a dead man.

Then suddenly Tygruth gave a good name proposal, "What about, The Power of Peace, it's English, which means the power of peace" Tygruth said. Turns out I was wrong, the reason Tygruth was silent like a dead man was because he was so serious about giving the right name to our group.

"Well! what a cool name! unlike the name given by Gernath" said Mouri.

"I agree with Mouri, it's a cool name. But the question is.. What is English?" my many.

"Eh?"

That's how we found the right name for us, the name might sound cool. Namely, "The Power of Peace" we will walk the right path to lead this broken world towards a peaceful world. Then tomorrow at night, we were surprised by the arrival of the village leader. What exactly will he do to us?.
