The Ancestral Inheritance Match

The Ancestral Inheritance Match
Chapter 97

Thalia stood staring at the face of the victim full of incisions. He was horrified to imagine the cruelty of the perpetrator. He walked slowly closer to the victim who left one last breath.

"Please …"

Those eyes were as if they were not looking at the death angel who picked her up but looking at Thalia who entered in the past. Thalia looked around, trying to find a clue.

"It's too dark, where the culprit ..definitely not far away, the victim's still breathing." Thalia's inner.

He wandered around the victim trying to find clues. Niente. He turned to look at the victim, his breathing had disappeared. Thalia's heart was sliced at the woman's suffering. His hands and feet are tied. Puncture wounds and incisions adorned almost his entire body. Blood pooled around the victim, Thalia's tears unstoppable.

Thalia is limp, she has to come back soon if she doesn't want to be stuck in the past. Fresh blood dripped from his nose. David aghast.

"Thalia .." David looks for tissue to wipe the blood dripping from Thalia's nose. Thalia's hands trembled, she over-exerted herself.

"You're all right? If you're not ready, don't push yourself." David patiently cleans up the blood that was also soiling Thalia's hands.

"I'm okay. This is the first time we have gone into the past. I've never seen the future before, I can only see the future."

"I'm sorry, I made you bother." David regrets his actions, he fears Thalia is hurt.

After all the blood stopped dripping and Thalia cleaned her hands, she sat back down.

"So the culprit hasn't been found yet?"

David shook his head, "we lost track."

"Witnesses?"

"There is but everything is a gray explanation, not clear" replied David as he peeked out from behind the window curtain.

Thalia who noticed David's attitude was astonished, she took a look outside. "Is there something you're waiting for?"

David who felt noticed Thalia wrong behavior, "Ehm, not just ... just in case?"

"Hey, don't scare me dong? Just in case it means someone is stalking you?" (Someone is stalking you?)

"Ehm, it could be" David replied with a mysterious smile.

"What's? You hidding something from me? Are there any other leads until you have to be followed, or ... does the perpetrator know you?"

David looked at Thalia, he was flabbergasted by Thalia's precise guess.

"You're a real psychologist who can read people."

"Heem, I just this time doubted people."

"No, I don't doubt you just this time I'm related to someone with talent like you?!"

Thalia smiled, "Tell me, what's up?"

"Oh my God .. Why is it so miserable?" Thalia was concerned about David's condition.

"The risk of work, I fell in the line of duty is not what origin do not threaten the life of the family."

Thalia began to be amazed by David. "Have you ever thought someone would follow you?"

"Here, he was coming home. I noticed his behavior on the road, and stupidly I went home. It's because my mama's phone asked me to come home soon."

Thalia nodded in understanding. "Can you take me to one of the discovery sites?" pinta Thalia's.

"Are you done?"

"Udah, after all, it's not my busy day. I should be off today."

"Ok, the location of the last discovery is not far from here."

They both agreed to go to the location of the discovery of the last victim's body. Twenty minutes later they arrived. Thalia looked at the surroundings.

"A week ago, we found Nita's body here." David explained.

"Dear?"

"Fifth victim, he was found lying with his hands and feet tied. The fifth victim was a little different. The clothes worn almost slipped off from his body."

"You mean, the chances are the victim was raped by the perpetrator before she was killed?" Thalia asked while paying attention to the trail that was still slightly visible even though the rain had damaged the scene.

"It looks so, but I doubt it."

Thalia looked at David, she understood what he meant. "You're right it could be just the camouflage of the perpetrator, he's obscuring his intent and purpose to outwit the police."

Thalia squatted on the line that got a spray of white paint. The line gave the victim a trace of the body. Thalia's hand touched the ground, leaving little blood. He tried to look back at the past.

At night, it rained, someone in his raincoat coat followed a woman who ran in fear. The woman was injured in her leg. Thalia saw the mysterious person holding a long knife with blood still attached.

Thalia looked at the woman being chased, she fell down many times and asked for help. No one heard his voice especially at night with the rain. The woman continued to run until she finally fell and ran out of energy.

He died with death in sight. "Help me, save my life?!" Thalia heard his groaning.

Once again the woman's eyes seemed to be staring at Thalia. He asks Thalia for help, before the knife hits his body. He pours out every corner of his body. Not to mention the incision that the mysterious person made on his face.

Thalia turned her face away, she could only clench her hands withstanding the pain, she felt the suffering of the victim. The screams and groans of begging for mercy finally disappeared. The woman has gone to be picked up by the angel of death.

Thalia ventured to see the poor woman. He was surprised, the perpetrator opened his identity. A demonic smile fell on his lips. He is satisfied to finish the life of the woman he targets again.

Thalia walked over trying to see clearly who the mysterious perpetrator was. Getting closer and closer, until finally he faced directly with the face of the perpetrator. Thalia gasps.

"Yes Allah … "
