Chapter 49

Thalia asked Aunt Alena for permission not to handle the sky today. She feels bad mood, and is afraid it could affect the counseling process. Thalia wanted to rest and forget the surprise that happened today. 

Willa comes to clean up Thalia's room, and tells Thalia's schedule tomorrow.

"Doctor want to go home now?"

"Yes, I don't know if it's a bad mood. Again want to rest at home, do I have a schedule tomorrow?" ask Thalia.

"Luckily tomorrow is empty doc, so the doctor can come can also not" replied Winda.

"Thank God, tomorrow I come." Thalia told Winda before she asked.

He prepared to leave the room when Ardi opened the door.

"Hi, are you ready, let's go home?" 

"Eh, are you still here? A day at the hospital without any other work?" Thalia was astonished by Ardi's attitude that today seemed to be following her.

"Hey, I'm a potential investor here. What's wrong if I look around the hospital I'm going to give you?" 

"Ok, a reasonable reason." replied Thalia with a smile.

"Shall we?" Ardi allowed Thalia to walk first, Ardi glanced at Winda who was watching him from earlier.

"Suster Winda, excuse me?!" pamit Ardi made Winda who was admiring the good looks of Ardi stammered.

Ardi caught up with Thalia who walked ahead of him. Sometimes they greet hospital employees who happen to cross paths. Today the atmosphere of the hospital looks more crowded than usual even though the time is moving in the afternoon.

Some doctors choose an afternoon practice schedule in order to share the schedule with other hospitals. Thalia herself was only a practice during the day. Several offers to fill out counseling at the company and the school came in via her email but Thalia has not decided to accept any of those offers.

"We haven't had lunch yet, aren't you hungry? Is it even late afternoon?" tanya Ardi reminded Thalia.

"Byeah, my stomach is hungry too." replied Thalia.

They also went to one of the restaurants where Ardi's acquaintances were. Restaurants with Sundanese food are packed with modern without leaving the hallmarks of Sundanese area. 

Ardi chose a saung that got a nice view right next to a small garden with a mechanical shower of bamboo. The gurgling sound of water is so soothing plus the soft melodious groove of a typical Sundanese gurgle that is deliberately listened to guests.

Thalia enjoyed a cool and soothing atmosphere. A little entertainment for a mood booster.

"You likey?" ask Ardi

"Oh yeah, which person is it?" ask Ardi curiously.

"Cirebon, a unique city in West Java but their language is mostly Javanese" replied Thalia while reopening her phone.

"I've been horrified that, even if it is not wrong that is on the border of West Java and Central Java the language is very Sundanese. Though the city entered central Java, right?" ask Ardi

"Hmm, right. It's unique."

Thalia refocused on her phone, wondering if Erick was texting her. The pain did not appear and indeed there was no incoming message from Erick. 

Thalia hung up her phone and returned to enjoying the rustic atmosphere that Ardi had chosen for her. A few years of living in Baltimore made him miss times like this.

"Thalia!" 

Someone suddenly greeted her from behind, Thalia was stunned she recognized the voice.

"Rendy ..." he murmured

Sure enough when he turned around to see who greeted him, Rendy was already standing right in front of Thalia. He was with a beautiful woman who might be in her twenties. Thalia looked at Rendy and the woman took turns.

Still the same as it used to be, time cannot change a person's nature.

"A long time no see, how are you?" greet Rendy while extending her hand to Thalia.

"Well." replied Thalia briefly with a forced smile.

"She .." Rendy looked at Ardi and indirectly asked Thalia to introduce Ardi to him.

"Oh, this is Ardi one of the investors in our hospital" Thalia said

"Hi, I'm Ardi and you are, Rendy? Thalia's ex-husband? Right?" ardi's question made Thalia widen her eyes at Ardi.

Rendy laughed at Ardi's question, "Well, you know me already? Don't make her ex-husband clear, it's been a while. Isn't that Thalia?!" 

Thalia responded with a complicated expression. While the beautiful woman who was next to Rendy continued to stare at him sharply as if feeling threatened Thalia would snatch Rendy from him.

Why is he looking at me! He's afraid I'm CLBK, no way!
