The Ancestral Inheritance Match

The Ancestral Inheritance Match
Chapter 103

Thalia didn't expect this to happen to Sean. He did not expect Sean to be an eyewitness to a murder. But it wasn't Natasya, Thalia sure it wasn't her.

"What I see is not Natasha, Sean." Thalia said.

Sean loosened Thalia's embrace, "What does Thalia mean?"

"All you see is someone who resembles Natasya." Thalia said it again.

"No, I'm sure I saw Natasya?! I saw it with my own eyes! He even threatened me Thalia, he knew my car was there!" Sean's voice looked depressed.

"Threatening you? By what?" ask Thalia.

Sean stared at Thalia for a moment, then opened his desk drawer and stretched out a piece of paper with bloodstains adorning it in some corner.

Thalia read and noticed the writing in the letter. A person under great pressure was forced to write, the scratches in each of his letters seemed doubtful and disconnected. Someone wanted the letter made for Sean.

Thalia read it carefully, it contained a threat. Natasha knew Sean saw her and it was a warning to Sean that he would come to her.

Thalia's staring, this is serious. Although he doubts if the writing is Natasya but this is a serious threat from the killer. Thalia rushes to get her phone to contact David.

"Hi, David can you come over here as soon as possible. I need immediate help!"

David agreed and asked Thalia to wait for about an hour. He was on his way to Thalia's house.

"Sean, take a shower first let it sit a little. I'm waiting for you in the dining room."

Thalia comes out of Sean's room with a paper that is allegedly a threatening letter from Natasya. He tried to see it more clearly. Thalia compares with Natasya's writing she had saved when Thalia needed her help the other day.

"The writing is different, my guess is like this is a different person. But the question is why did he use Natasya to be his puppet?!"

Thalia rewires her brain, recalling the face of the perpetrator she saw in the past. He closed his eyes to remember them clearly.

"Women, whites, black ponchos .. ceramic knives, and ... wounds?"

Thalia opened her eyes, an important point was missed by her. "The woman had a cut on her face, slightly covered in her hair but it was clearly visible! Left flank! I'm sure it's on his left side!"

"What's on his left side?" Sean came closer, his face looking fresher with his wet hair.

"Sean, did Natasha have a scar on her left cheek. A suture wound about four or five centimeters?"

"Him? I don't think I have one, what's wrong?"

Thalia was silent for a moment, "Doppelganger?! Damn, why can I misinterpret it?!"

"Doppelgangers? What'sthat?"

"The magical radiance, it is said that he has no shadows and reflections in the mirror. I saw it in the victim's past memories, but I misinterpreted it. All I saw was a doppelganger, they fooled me Sean!"

"I don't understand Thalia, what does that mean?" Sean is further confused by Thalia's statement.

"Natasha doesn't have a twin, does she? All I see is her!"

Sean nodded, "Then?"

Thalia went back to explaining, "I saw a duplication of your memories, and that is a doppelganger from Natasya. The culprit was Natasha's closest person with an elongated wound to her left cheek."

"..." - ".Sean still doesn't understand Thalia's intentions.

Someone hastily entered the house, David came. Sean was surprised to see it. "Thalia why are you calling her?!"

"Sean, I have something to ask you. It matters!" Thalia showed a serious look.

******

Sean, David, and Thalia sat together in the living room. David carries a file of serial murder cases he is dealing with with with Thalia. Last night Thalia asked David to bring everything including video footage of the witness to the house. Thalia has to show it to Sean.

"What is this Thalia?" Sean started to get anxious, but Thalia did not answer.

"David, I think you should see this!" Thalia handed Sean a piece of threatening paper.

David accepted it and read it slowly, he was shocked and looked at Sean.

"Well, I didn't expect everything to be conical to one unexpected name Thalia?!" David takes Thalia's story seriously.

"This is just David's guess, I saw the culprit in retrocognition. But, I don't believe in the truth." Thalia opened her eyes to David.

"You're not sure about your vision, why?" ask David.

"Because I just realized that what I saw was part of Sean's memory. We're connected because of twins, without me noticing Sean's memory of Natasha is in retrocognition."

"Sean has a problem with Natasha and our memory is connected. What I saw there was a doppelganger from Natasya."

"Doppelgangers? Whatisit? Thalia, should I believe this? This doesn't make any sense to me?!" david said confusedly.

Doppelganger is arguably a twin of ourselves. If associated with the occult it is said that the doppelganger has no shadow and does not bounce on mirrors and water. Some people believe if we can see our twin then it means that bad luck and disease and even death will come.

"Dave, you asked me to go into the past and you said it didn't make sense? How did the knife find it? Does that make no sense either?" Thalia asked back.

"Sorry but .. This is too complicated for me."

"So, are we going to stop?"

"No, that's not .. um, well I'll listen to your explanation. Tell me your opinion?!"

"The "doppelganger phenomenon in this case is unique. This could actually be a clue. I thought Natasha was the culprit, but I don't know why I believe it wasn't her myself." Thalia began to explain.

"Until Sean told me about Natasha, and about her being the witness to Natasha's murder. .. or rather someone who looked like Natasha."

"I don't understand Thalia, your explanation makes me ..."

"Buddy?"

"Yes, you could say that."

"Dave, not always retrocognition is true. And I proved it to myself, the doppelganger has deceived my vision."

"Why? because Sean and I are connected. Sean had a problem with Natasya, his mind was connected to me while I was doing retrocognition. The outcome? I saw Natasya there." Thalia tried to explain back.

"Then what about what Sean saw, how could you explain it?"

Thalia let out a long sigh, she looked at Sean softly. Heavy but he had to do it.

"What Sean saw was probably Natasha's right but it was another version of her."

"Other versions?"

"It's just my guess, Natasha probably has .. schizophrenia."

"What's? No Thalia you're wrong! Natasya couldn't possibly have that terrible disease?!" Sean rejected Thalia's assumption.

"Are you sure Sean?"

Sean was silent, far from the bottom of his heart Sean was also hesitant with his own words.

"You complained about Natasya's strange attitude. Did you forget?"

"All I see in the past is Natasya. But it's not certain and I don't want to conclude before we find the facts. Natasya in the form of a doppelganger that I saw had a cut on her left cheek."

"But Natasha has no wounds!" Sean tried to defend him.

"You're right, Natasya has no wounds. That's why I assumed it was someone else."

"Dave, can you open the video I saw yesterday? Sean has to see for himself."

David nodded and played the video Thalia meant. He directed the video to Sean, and Sean was shocked.

"Thalia .. This?!"

"Look carefully Sean, until the end. And explain to us both the truth!"
