The blood that flowed out from his wound soaked the dry leaves that were scattered on the ground. Leo felt that his opponent this time seemed to be much stronger than the Mowldark that time. Of course there was a fear that raged within him, but it did not make him give up just like that. Leo knew his friends sleeping in the horse-drawn carriage were also the result of magic from the creatures in front of him, and he had to save them.
With a feisty face, Leo clenched his left hand, squeezing the leaves mixed with the ground. While his right hand continued to hold the wound on his shoulder which was getting worse. He remained staring intently at the monstrous woman standing before him.
"You giving up?" The woman's voice echoed, like the sound of a loud but disjointed radio.
Leo smiled briefly, he knew his opponent was clearly not a human, but he still tried to maintain his composure. "Can talk turns out, I guess you're mute," he choked while slowly getting up.
A aura of darkness began to pour out from Leo's body as he tried to stand up. The description of the enemy in front of him was suddenly clearly visible. Everything was clearly plastered in his mind, just as the Nythorian strength within him revealed all the weaknesses of that monstrous woman.
"This creature called Banshee, damn, turns out this ghost is very strong," muttered Leo, while continuing to think about how to be able to defeat the female figure called Banshee.
At a glance, Leo rolled his gaze down, looking for the sword that had been thrown, but the sword had disappeared somewhere. He then grabbed two knives from the pouch attached to his belt.
When Leo is ready with both knives in hand, Banshee does not waste time. He glides towards Leo in a rapid motion, like a black shadow approaching its prey. The Banshee attack came so suddenly, and Leo only had a split second to react.
With dexterity and sharp reflexes, Leo manages to evade Banshee's first attack. His body was shrill as he leaped to the side, avoiding the sharp claws that hit the ground violently. However, as soon as he landed, Banshee launched a back-to-back attack.
The banshee moves so fast that it is difficult for Leo to keep up with his movements. He continues to try to avoid the claws and attacks of the Banshee, using both knives in his attempt to defend. The Banshee attack felt like a storm, with claws and blows coming so quickly and suddenly.
Leo tried to think fast, looking for a gap in this fight. He tries to bully the Banshee with false moves, and when the Banshee is tempted to attack, Leo quickly takes the opportunity to launch a counterattack. However, Banshee nimbly dodged, only slightly scratched by Leo's attack.
The fight continued, both of them facing each other with incredible reflexes and speed. Leo tries to solve the weakness of every Banshee move, but the creature seems to know in advance with every move from Leo.
After a long time of fighting, Leo's breathing began to feel heavy, and sweat poured down from his face. Banshee's attacks continued to rain down, and Leo began to feel a deep exhaustion permeating his body.
In the brief moment between the deadly Banshee attacks, Leo tries to think. "My strength is like being restrained, why is it that all kinds of magic shown in my mind cannot be used? Do you need special training to get it out?" he muttered, trying to solve the puzzle hidden within him.
In a fierce fight, Banshee continued to persuade Leo to surrender, her voice filled with death seduction. "Once, just give up. Don't worry, I'll kill you without pain. This is your fate."
Leo only chuckled, feeling underestimated by this monstrous creature. He mustered all his courage and lunged forward with both knives in his hand. Attack after attack, in hopes of defeating the Banshee.
Banshee with astonishing speed dodged every attack coming. However, Leo did not give up just like that. In an instant, he threw one of the knives at Banshee. Banshee nimbly dodged, but it turned out to be just a trick. Leo quickly thrust the other knife into Banshee's stomach, leaving Banshee shocked and exerting his power to throw Leo with his hand. Instantly Leo was thrown far enough away that his back hit a large tree behind him.
As a result of Leo's attack, the wound in Banshee's stomach smashed through the black smoke, but it made him look even more angry. "How dare you do this to me!" he shouted with a raspy voice that echoed.
Banshee looked up, revealing sharp black teeth like rows of daggers inside her mouth. He opened his mouth wide, until his cheeks let out a gurgling sound similar to a slowly torn cloth. Each movement of his lips revealed an elongated black scratch on his cheek.
Then, slowly, Banshee stuffed her own hand into her wide-open mouth. From within his mouth, Banshee pulled out a seemingly endless sword. The sword came out slowly, shiny when it was exposed to the moonlight.
Banshee stepped slowly towards Leo who was still bowed lethargic, leaning under the tree. His steps seemed to clink between the silence of the dark forest. And the long sword he had just pulled out, he dragged, leaving a long line on the ground.
Leo, in a limp sitting position, was unable to move his body. His eyes were blurred, and his eyes were blank. Warm liquid continued to flow through the wound on his shoulder, now also coming out of his mouth. He tried to speak, his voice was trembling, "Damn, my body..."
He looked towards Banshee who was walking closer towards him. "No. I have to help my friends... Alisha..."
But his gaze grew increasingly fading, until finally, he collapsed unconscious under the terrifying shadow of Banshee who stood before him and swung her sword up.
