The tension reached its peak when the figure that had been hidden by the grass had finally appeared. Leo, with his sword still erect, shouted out resolutely, threatening the figure to come out.
The figure walked slowly, both hands carefully raised, and smiled until his toothless teeth were clearly visible. This old man had a long white beard, and was wearing a simple armor that was already quite shabby, his body was covered in a pocketed brown robe. On his back, he carried a large bag containing rolls of paper stacked up to protrude out of the bag.
"Calm down, I'm just a merchant" the old man said with a small laugh. His relaxed and friendly expression began to ease the tension between them. Leo and his friends loosen their alertness, despite remaining alert.
The old man casually introduced himself as a traveling merchant who sold various rare items from the various towns and villages he had visited. Before Leo and his friends could ask any questions, the old man instantly took the biggest scroll from his bag, leaving them interested and curious. Carefully, he rolled out the paper scroll on the rather barren land around them.
The scroll was perfectly titled and instantly revealed a truly shocking sight. They could see like a miniature of a living world sitting on the scroll. There were all sorts of equipment and equipment, not only that, what was even more surprising was the myriad of beasts, from small creatures to strange monsters walking on the scroll. All of the creatures looked very small, yet seemed to be alive and moving on their own.
The old merchant, proudly explained that the one inside the scroll was one of the various rare items he offered. He called it the "Miniature Scroll of the Erder World." The scroll was the work of a great magician from the Isenfeld Kingdom who was able to create this small world on paper. These reels have everything they might need in their adventure, including gear, gear, and even some creatures that can help them.
The eyes of Leo, Alisha, Belladona, Matilda, Barla, and even Glint, who had once seemed fearful, were now filled with admiration. They stood near the scroll, paying attention to every detail there was.
Alisha, with eyes sparkling in awe, said, "Leo, take a look at this," waving her hand calling out to Leo who was standing behind her. Leo smiled, then crouched down beside Alisha to look at the scroll closer.
"Are you from Pandora's faction?" Belladona asked the merchant.
The old merchant scratched his head and chuckled, "Actually I don't really understand those factions very well, but if you ask me if I can manipulate the space to raise or minimize the object, then, of course I can do it."
Glint, Barla's sister who was starting to vent, asked further, "Or maybe you are a Celestial?" Glint asked while tidying up the position of his glasses.
The old merchant shook his head, "Of course not, young man. I was born and grew up in this world."
While they were preoccupied with their conversation, Matilda was innocently playing with the mini creature in her hands. "Well, cute.I want ten." she said with a small laugh, playing the animals gently, lifting them one by one on her hands.
Realizing that, the old merchant panicked. He quickly took out a magic wand that suddenly appeared out of nowhere it came from, and brandished it towards Matilda's hand. Quickly, he exclaimed, "Aevistrovi!" A green light enveloped the small beasts in Matilda's hands, and they floated back into the scroll slowly.
Matilda felt remorse for what she did, "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt them." Matilda also glanced at Belladona who showed a gesture of disappointment on her face, like preparing to nag her after everything was done.
"It's okay, son. It's just to protect those little creatures. Now I will show you how my magic works" said the merchant with his toothless smile. He picked up a horse carriage that was originally very small, almost like a miniature, complete with a horse standing in front of him. Then the merchant put the horse-drawn carriage some distance away from them.
The merchant began chanting with a soft, almost inaudible whisper. A magical light began to emanate from his magic wand, which was directed at the horse carriage. A miracle ensued, the size of the horse carriage began to grow drastically in an instant. A simple horse carriage that had been just like a miniature, now stood majestically before them in its proper size. The train is made of wood and is equipped with seats for drivers and passengers. There are also four iron wheels, and a leather roof that can be opened and closed as needed.
Leo approached the cariole slowly, his hand touching the wooden side of the carriage and gently stroking the horsehair standing in front of him. The horse responds well, looks pleased with Leo's touch, and breathes slowly as a sign of friendship.
"How much?" leo asked suddenly, a little mesmerized by the magic that lay before him.
The old merchant chuckled, feeling pleased with their interest. "Looks like you know what I mean" he said, then patted Leo on the shoulder and replied, "30."
Leo smiled and immediately responded, "25."
The merchant thought about it for a moment, then finally agreed, "Agree?" However, before the final decision is taken by Leo, Alisha approaches them.
"So, how much is it?" alisha asked in a firm tone. He looks more experienced in bargaining.
The merchant frowned, looking at the serious-looking Alisha. "Miss, I sold it for 30 gold coins."
"30? What about 10?" His voice was firm, showing that he would not compromise so easily.
Leo realized their core purpose for buying teleportation scrolls. He stuck his head out for almost forgetting about it. Without waiting any longer, Leo immediately asked the old merchant, interrupting the bargaining process between the merchant and alisha. "Umm.. sorry, did you sell the teleportation scroll?"
The merchant looked at Leo for a moment, then slowly took out a scroll from within the bag of his robe. "You mean this?" He showed me a scroll wrapped in a tube of golden bamboo. "What's that thing called a teleportation scroll?" Leo asked enthusiastically, while Alisha was just standing beside him, also interested in the direction of this conversation.
"Right, this is a teleportation scroll," the old man began to explain, but had yet to finish his explanation, Leo instantly interjected, "how much is it?"
The old man chuckled back, it seemed like he was enjoying this bargain. "It's not cheap stuff, young man. You're still bidding on the cheapest price of that cariole."
Leo still insisted on buying the scroll, "how much? Is it 100 gold coins?"
The old man laughed lightly, "250 gold coins."
Alisha heard it and was immediately shocked. His other friends also continued to watch the talks of the three of them closely, feeling tense with the upcoming deal.
