CH 16 - Still a Police Officer

In that tense moment, Leo felt a heavy weight on his shoulders. Matilda's attempt to escape from the clot was still unsuccessful, and Gideon could have slashed his threatening sword at Matilda whenever he wanted. Leo tries to think about all the options, but the time is getting limited.

"Mr Leo Demhian, don't do what he wants!" Matilda shouted in a concerned tone, begging Leo not to follow Gideon's orders.

Gideon smiled cynically, "Oh come on. Stop messing with me. The belladona! Kill the woman lying down first!"

Leo felt the pressure increase. In his head, he was trying to solve this puzzle. However, with panic taking hold of her, she feels that the time to save Alisha is decreasing. Belladona prepares to unleash deadly magic, the same magic she used when trying to kill Alisha. Now the fate of Matilda and Alisha depends on her decision.

The light from Menhir that had been so strong all this time suddenly faded away, leaving the entire room in confusion and tension. The room that had been glittering was now filled with uncertainty. The purple light that had been circling Menhir vanished, removing the ever-present magical aura. All eyes in the room, including Gideon, Belladona, Matilda, and the Thellidians, suddenly turned to Leo.

Leo stood in front of Menhir, looking at Gideon with a stern look filled with deep emotion. He had removed his hand from Menhir, ending his bond with that thing. His presence and his actions changed the entire dynamic of the situation in the room, creating a moment of tremendous tension.

Gideon smiled with satisfaction. He looked at Leo as if he felt Leo was a fool already caught in his trap. In an arrogant tone, Gideon scoffs at Leo, calling him condescending.

However, his smile soon fades when Leo, unemotional, in a cold tone, reveals a dark truth about Gideon's father and his tragic mother. Gideon felt like a punch had struck him, and a feeling of disbelief began to creep into him. He tried hard to deny the reality he had just heard, but the doubts grew stronger and overshadowed his mind.

"You can talk whatever you want, Leo Demhian!" Gideon tried to maintain his haughty demeanor, though in his heart doubts flourished. "I won't believe your bullshit!"

However, Leo's words had created a slight wobble in Gideon's beliefs, and the situation grew tense.

Gideon still insisted on ridiculing Leo, he released sharp words in an arrogant tone, "You are truly a fool, Leo Demhian! Think, what would make me believe your bullshit?"

Leo did not move. He still replied calmly, his eyes filled with decisiveness as he began to re-explain the facts about his parents. "What I'm saying is a bitter truth. Your father, Jurgan Emeric, is a figure full of rot. He killed your mother, Queen Thelsysa, in a dark political game and for power alone. That's why your mother died."

Leo, with a sharp gaze, reached into the pouch beside his pants, and with a sudden movement. A gun taser appeared in his hand. Leo calmly told Gideon, "People like you will never feel enough in this world." Without hesitation, Leo fired a gun taser right at Gideon's neck.

Gideon instantly felt a powerful electric shock coursing through his body. He screamed in pain, his body wriggling and shaking violently. His once arrogant and confident face turned into an expression of suffering. His head turned and his vision blurred. Gideon struggled to remain standing, but electric shocks continued to hit him. Finally, lethargic, his body collapsed to the floor.

Leo pulled out his gun taser cable, then looked at Gideon coldly. "People who talk too much like you deserve to be called princes? You can't even fight an amateur cop like me." Putting his gun taser or shock gun into a bag near his pants.

Matilda, swiftly, saw this opportunity to break away from the Cayden clot. Using his dark fire magic, he melted the ice shackling his legs. The layer of ice that restricted his movement slowly melted and evaporated, freeing him to act. In an instant, he managed to break free and immediately saved Alisha.

Meanwhile, Belladona panicked when she saw Gideon still lying and stiff. Quickly, he aimed healing magic at Gideon's body, his hands moving agilely, surrounding the body parts affected by the Taser Gun. He began chanting healing spells with high concentration, "Healbridels!" A gentle light emanated from his palm, wrapping Gideon's body in a calm greenish-blue color.

While chanting the mantra, he said expectantly, "May the power return to you, Gideon. Hang in!" He kept trying hard, trying to restore strength and movement to Gideon's still stiff body.

Matilda approached Leo carefully, holding Alisha attentively. He glanced at Belladona, then with a tone of ridicule, he flinkered, "Loh, what's wrong? Drunk huh?"

The mockery made Belladona red and angry. He was annoyed by Matilda and thought that Matilda did not understand the serious situation.

"What are you waiting for? Attack them!" Belladona shouted while looking back, giving orders to the line of soldiers standing behind him to attack.

However, as there was no response, the entire army, including Cayden standing beside Belladona, suddenly pecked, fixated by a deep fear. Their eyes widened and their faces looked pale. No one can move a finger. Belladona frowned, perplexed by what had happened to his soldiers.

"It seems like it's my time to try how strong I am now," Leo said in a calm voice, a smile etched on his face. A deep aura of darkness emanated from him, creating a terrifying atmosphere for anyone who saw it. All the Belladona warriors could only shiver in indisputable fear.
