Arriving at a large residence, the driver parked Brian's car in the spacious yard. His arrival was deliberately kept secret, so there was no special welcoming event from the homeowner.
Getting out of the car, the tall man with the neat suit stellan helped his wife down, then stood stunned. For a moment he stared at the big house that left many memories before then surprised when suddenly Mayang grabbed his hand and clasped his fingers tightly.
"What are you thinking?" Looking closely at her husband, the question was just thrown from Mayang's lips. Not without reason he asked. But Brian's unusual behavior was read by him.
Brian looked at Mayang and then shook his head faintly. "none. I just feel the atmosphere of this house is now different from what it used to be."
"After you talk to your father, I'm sure the atmosphere will return to how it used to be." Mayang was thin and it was contagious to her husband. The man gently stroked the wife's cheek, and said a sentence of thanks.
"Welcome, Mr. Brian .. and Mrs." A waiter-clad woman came in a hurry to greet Brian and Mayang who appeared on the front porch. "Pardon us for not welcoming the Master well" continued the middle-aged woman with a face full of regret.
"It's okay, Auntie. We did come on purpose without notice." Brian turned to Mayang briefly before then returning his gaze to the woman.
"Master, let me call Mr. Hans for a moment. Right now he is sitting relaxing in the back garden." The waiter named Mirah half-bent over and turned around. But he stopped stepping because Brian hastily forbade it.
"No need, Bi. Let us go to him."
"Good, Sir." Mirah nodded politely, then pulled away and pulled over to give Brian and Mayang a way.

The garden overgrown with various kinds of flowers looks so beautiful and refreshing to the eye. On the right side of the park with a location not far away, there is a small pond inhabited by several kinds of fish with various colors.
A middle-aged man was sitting pensively in a place not far from there. Alone and drowning in daydreams. It was accompanied by a splashing sound coming from the fountain, and to him it really made him feel peaceful.
On the right side, there is a medium-sized picture frame deliberately placed on the table. Sometimes the man stared at the picture of the beautiful girl and sometimes also rubbed the frame full of tenderness.
Slender. He's used to this. Without loved ones who fill the emptiness of the heart. He even lives through all of this. Now he uses more of his free time to contemplate and worship.
Staring at the middle-aged man's back, Brian's footsteps suddenly stopped. Of course, it was a contact that made Mayang who joined with Brian inevitably stop.
"Honey," whispered Mayang full of questions. The woman stared fixedly at her husband's face which again looked worried.
Brian looked back at his wife. But without saying a word. Honestly, he still hated the man to the point of feeling hard to forgive, but this indebtedness really did torment the heart and Brian felt the need to end it as soon as possible.
What power, seeing the man lonely really made his heart feel pity. Pity finally made Brian realize, humans who were once evil, not always will be evil. Moreover, Hans has shown good faith by helping them. Doesn't that mean Hans realized the mistake and tried to fix it?
Brian nodded steadily before then saying, "I'm ready."

"Dad ...."
Hans who was drowning in daydreams immediately gasped when he heard a voice that was familiar to him. Between believe and not, the call has never even greeted his sense of hearing.
Throwing a glance at the source of the voice, the man suddenly rose with a look of disbelief. He even took off his glasses and rubbed his eyes until it hurt just to convince himself.
"Brian?" he nodded with a shriveled forehead.
"Brian, Mayang, you ...."
"Yes, Dad. We're coming," said Brian quickly.

With his eyes still wet, Hans brought Brian and Mayang to sit on the park chair, with the sound of the sweet splashing water accompanying the warm talk of course. Brian sat next to Mayang, while Hans was in the opposite seat.
It was something that the middle-aged man did not expect. The man who hated him so much opened his heart and was willing to forgive him.
Because he was so happy, he was without hesitation to linger tears as an overflow of feelings. They even hugged for a long time to let go of the longing that quietly enveloped the heart while the apology had yet to be spoken.
"Dad's so glad you guys wanted to come." Rubbing his eyes, Hans opened the conversation. The man then laughed amusedly realizing his own old childish attitude was still crying.
"I'm sorry that Dad ruined everything" Hans continued. "Our good relationships, the happiness and peace that once adorned us, are all destroyed by Daddy's greed. If I could just accept Lena's departure, maybe this wouldn't happen. Dad's a dud, worth in-"
"Dad, stop blaming yourself." Brian interrupted his father-in-law's words before continuing. "Everything that happens is destiny, and we must make a sincere effort to live."
Mayang's husband was silent for a moment while staring at Hans's face fixedly and leaning forward with a sorry look.
"Dad .. sorry, 'cause Brian's been so arrogant all this time."
Hans chuckled among the remains of his tears. "You're right to take that action. Now that I'm aware, a vindictive attitude will only destroy."
Amidst their conversation, Mirah suddenly comes with a man carrying a suitcase in his hand.
"Sir, Haris' lawyer is here." The woman dressed as the waiter spoke politely.
"Oh, Haris." Hans immediately got up to simply give his guests a welcome. "Please, please," he said giving instructions to join while inviting her with his hands.
Brian and Mayang also seemed to rise from their seats to welcome Haris' handshake.
"How are you, Mr Brian?" ask Haris while they shake hands.
"Well, Mr. Haris." Although still feeling confused about the arrival of Haris, but Brian tried to be calm and welcome the guest-in-law was friendly.
The four people then both sat down after greeting each other as a form of formality.
"Something we happen to meet here, Mr. Haris. Did our arrival interrupt your meeting?" Brian's question was directed at Hans.
As Brian knows, Haris is the father-in-law's personal lawyer from fifteen years ago. As an outsider with an unplanned arrival, of course Brian felt he did not want to interfere with the affairs of both of them.
"Absolutely not, Brian. It is precisely Father who deliberately invited Haris to talk about something very important with you and Mayang."
