The Present of a Thing

With a heart filled with big question marks, Mayang continued to step into the house. An astounding sight was presented before the eyes that suddenly made the girl freeze in place.

Several men in all-black suit stellans stood dominating the living room, while his mother, father and sister gathered with their faces bowed deeply before the man sitting on the sofa. He wondered what had happened to his family.

Realizing the presence of Mayang, simultaneously three people who were in pressure turned to Mayang who was standing in the doorway. The look of eyes full of sadness was inevitable. However, the three people were still faithfully silent as Mayang approached and tried to inquire.

“Dad, Mom, what has happened?” tanyanya as she gathered together and looked at her family one by one with an expression demanding an explanation.

Instead of answering, the three looked down timidly.

“Owh, so this is that girl named Mayang?”

Mayang turned his head towards the sofa and courageously looked into the eyes of the man who acted like a ruler. Why would he think that? For only this man sat leisurely while the others stood firm as if on alert. While the owner of the house just rested on the floor like a persecuted person.

“Jawab!” jolt the man again because he saw Mayang just silently watching him.

It was not just Mayang who was surprised. However, three members of his family were not separated from the shock. Even gigil fear, sobs and cold sweat began to color the three people, but different things were revealed by Mayang. In addition to having a brave attitude, he is even still overwhelmed with curiosity because until now has not received an explanation.

Looking back at the man named Billy without a hint of trepidation, he replied loudly.

“Iya, I'm Mayang. Can you explain why you are being disrespectful and disturbing the peace of our family?”

“Attracting the peace of your family?” Billy repeated Mayang's question in a mocking tone, then laughed out loud while shaking his head.

A moment later, his hand moved to take something placed on the right side, then took it to show Mayang.

“Do you know what this is?”

Mayang sontak rounded his eyes. He poulted right with the thing that the middle of the man was holding. It was a book he had read all out. Why is it in that man's hands?

Ah, that's right. This book is no ordinary book in general. He himself had suspected that the book would later present a case, and sure enough, right. Now the time has come.

Although fear began to ambush, Mayang tried to be calm and tried to ask Billy carefully.

“What happened to the book?”

“Your father has stolen it from our company!” billy firmly while pointing at Anwar with his index finger.

Suddenly Billy's words made Mayang turn his back. He looked at his face carefully and demanded an explanation.

With a sad expression, Anwar shook his head strongly.

“For God's sake who testified, Father did not steal this book, Son,” Anwar replied with confidence.

“Long!” snapped Billy.

Seeing his father treated in such a way, Mayang obviously did not accept. He looked back at Billy sharply, then spoke with a warning tone.

“Please don't accuse my father of false accusations. This is slander of his name, and I can tell you to the police,” threatened him with a calm tone even though Mayang himself was trembling.

“You're jailing? Please! Because in the end your father will be the one who will enter bui. Apparently you don't know what our powers are?” billy said with an arrogant attitude. With his right arm resting on his right knee, he leaned in and looked at Mayang with a look of disdain.

Seeing how Billy looks and everything that the man has, suddenly Mayang was shrunken in guts. He lowered his head and swallowed his pride. He knew his father was not a thief. However, fighting the powerful would likely self-destruct. There was nothing he could do but ask them what they wanted.

“So, what do you want from us? That book, isn't it? We don't need. Please take it and immediately leave our house!” firmly Mayang with a tone of expulsion while pointing at the exit.

Instead of obeying Mayang's wishes, Billy was actually widened to respond to the expulsion of the girl. Increasingly afraid, the four family members hugged each other with trembling bodies.

“You think by taking back this book all the problems are solved? Hohoho, absolutely not, Miss! You've read it, and we can't just let you go.”

Sontak Mayang widens eyes. “Means?” he asked with an expression of not understanding.

Without the girl guessing, suddenly the father moved closer to Billy and hugged the man's leg in order to plead.

“Please, Master, release my daughter. Take me to the Boss to account for everything.”

Not willing to do so, Mayang then pulled Anwar while saying with a pleading tone.

“Dad, don't do that. He is not God and he is younger in spite of all his accusations. Dad is innocent. Dad don't have to demean himself by hugging the feet of this slanderer!” Mayang's eyes were glazed so sharply towards Billy.

Obviously, the man was a beaver. He rose up and spoke with a ferocious voice.

“Quick! Let's go and bring this girl!”
