Shadow of the past part 4

Brian blinked his eyes as soon as he woke up in the morning. He woke up excitedly to welcome the day. Rejection for the rejection he received from Lena really did not dampen his spirit. Instead, he is increasingly encouraged to be more active in his approach efforts. In fact, in recent days he even dared to call and send a bouquet of flowers to Lena's home address.

I don't know how long he spent in the bathroom, but when he returned to the room, Billy already seemed to be there.

With neat clothes as usual, the man already looked fresh with an outgoing oriental-scented perfume that made the adventurous spirit of the man even more noticeable. I don't know since when he started to like the scent of perfume that was originally only liked by Brian.

"Bener lo came?" Brian asked in astonishment at the man standing by the door.

"Today there's a morning meeting, I'm afraid you've forgotten it." Billy spoke in a flat tone.

"Indeed since when have I ever forgotten anything important in work huh?!" Glancing sharply, Brian seemed to not accept Billy's words. "You think with my busyness approaching Lena I'll forget about my responsibilities?!"

"It's good that you remember." said Billy lightly.

The room was quiet for a moment. Billy was just silent with eyes watching Brian who was just wearing a pajama towel was playing his phone.

"Do I have your clothes ready?" ask Billy to offer.

"no need. I can do it myself." Brian answered without looking at Billy. A few minutes later, he was still on his cell phone.

Sighing softly, Billy ventured to ask. "You're so infatuated with Lena that you use every means possible to get close to her. Are you sure Lena was the girl you helped back then?"

"Related." Answer Brian briefly.

"Is his face the same?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"While it's been so many years since then, are you sure you still remember it so clearly?!" curiously, Billy asked half a probing question. There was a doubt on his face.

"You doubt me?" Brian put his phone half-throwing on the bed. Then with a hand that ruffled his waist, he looked at Billy with a probing look.

"No, I just wanted to convince you. I hope you don't love the wrong people."

"Whatever you wanna say. But my instinct is to say that the little girl is really Lena." Brian dropped his body on the edge of the bed. "For the face, you know yourself, sometimes the process of maturing someone slightly changes the character of the face. What else little Lena used to be still plain while Lena who now can polish her face with make-up. But I'm sure that little girl is Lena." Brian said with confidence.

Billy sighed deeply before speaking. "As far as you are, the important thing is that I warned you. I just want what's best for you and don't mean to interfere in your affairs."

"I know. Wouldn't it be better to think of yourself than to think of me, would it? You also need to take care of your own life, you need a companion to accompany you."

"I never forget to take care of myself" Billy replied with a smile.

The hot afternoon atmosphere made Lena who was struggling with her laptop feel thirsty. He had spent an hour sitting in a bottle of cold mineral water.

Relaxing in the back garden the girl enjoys the afternoon while checking out the monthly report Hans assigned specifically to her as Lena's first step into the business world to continue her father's struggle in his company.

Although just learning, but Lena seemed to enjoy it. Armed with the knowledge he got while studying at the best university abroad, it was not a big obstacle for him.

Leaving her laptop, Lena moved up and stepped leisurely towards the kitchen. Stopping in front of the refrigerator, his hand moved pulling the handle of the refrigerator door and opened it. A bottle of cold mineral water is again an option.

As if no longer able to withstand thirst, Lena who was thirsty sipped the clear water to feel an incredible fresh sensation when the cold water greeted gently in her dry throat.

Leaving half of it aside, Lena gulped back down after closing the refrigerator door. As he turned his body and turned around, he widened his eyes when he found a man standing right behind him for some time.

And because of his shock, he unconsciously spouted drinking water in his mouth that he had not been able to swallow until the entire contents moved to wet the clothes of the man who was Brian.

Lena desperately tried to swallow her slavin with difficulty while looking at Brian in her wet clothes. Bowing in embarrassment, Lena rubbed her lips that were still wet with water.

He looked angry as Brian watched him. Lena can only resign if indeed Brian will scold her with anger. Or even blackmail him to fulfill the request of the man who had been pretending he had ignored it.

Not without reason, Brian did deliberately do it to attract the sympathy of the girl to arise in his heart guilt and want to open his heart to Brian.

But it was not guilt that Lena showed, the girl instead showed her frustration.

"You! Since when are you here?!"

"Since then." Brian answered with a confident smile. "Since I've been watching you."

"What?!" Grunting in annoyance, Lena pushed Brian's body away from her. "Go you! Go home! I don't like anyone else interfering with my comfort!"

"Why do you have so much? You kicked me out after flushing my body and made me cold. Just so you know, I didn't come here of my own free will! Mother told me to come here and leave this to your mother. Take-take this! Then I'll go." With a look of annoyance, Brian threw two paperbags out of his hand.

Lena, who was initially hesitant, finally received the paperbag and opened it slightly to peek at the contents. One paperbag contains a cake while the other contains some of his favorite new books.

He almost softened and said thank you, but by the time he looked up at Brian, the man had already stepped away leaving him with an annoyed expression. After putting the paperbag on the table, he rushed to catch up with Brian.

"Hey wait! Don't sulk that way." Lena gasps while pulling Brian's arm.

Yes succeeded. Brian murmured inwardly feeling happy.

"What else is it? You asked me to come home quickly, didn't you? Okay I'm going home." Brian said with a sad face.

"I-I, I just want to apologize" Lena said stammeringly. The girl was bowed with a face full of guilt.

"This is not wrong, are you really sorry?" ask Brian to doubt.

"You're sorry about this? Before I changed my mind." looked at Brian annoyed, Lena was unable to hide the red hue on his cheek.

"Yes, yes, I'm sorry. But there's a condition."

"No, use the conditions. Wanna blackmail me, huh?"

"Who wants to blackmail you? I just wanted to see a sweet smile as sweet as sugar, beautiful as bright as the sun hidden behind your irritated face." seduced Brian with a naughty smile that spontaneously made Lena's cheeks blush.

Turning her face away, the girl tried to hide the happy hue behind the smile she was trying to endure.

"It seems I came at an inopportune time. Then excuse me to go home."

"Wait!" Prevent Lena when Brian will step up. The man spontaneously turned to Lena. "Your clothes are wet. You can catch a cold because of that. I can lend you my dad's shirt for you to wear."

"I want you to have no objection."

"I offered you, where might I mind."

"Well, because you insist, with a heavy heart I accept."

"Well! Basic huh? With a heavy heart you say? Isn't that what you expected?" lena shouted irritatedly with a hand that grabbed Brian's arm and pinched her angrily. Instead of apologizing, Brian pinched the girl's cheek. Until the two laughed together when they felt the thing they went through was funny. And from there their closeness began.

Out of nowhere the feeling began, Lena really felt comfortable on Brian's side. Despite getting many times the rejection of the man never despair or feel tired and give up.

I don't know Brian, I'm glad we got to spend some time together. But I also have a lover who loves me so much. I just want our relationship to flow like water but I don't know where it's going to take our relationship.
