His flat face was again seen after news of the death of the old woman who had helped him. Max's jaw tightened and his hand unwittingly clenched.
The glint of anger emanating from the blue bead made the atmosphere in the room gripping. With a definite step, Max walked out, went downstairs and carried his car through the crowd of the capital that afternoon.
He also receives word from the bodyguard in charge of overseeing Sara. His fierce wife came out, went to a place where he passed after searching for Sara's identity first.
Max wanted to surprise his wife, so he parked the car in front of the building, across the street. He took his cell phone and called his wife.
"Give me your location! Now!"
Max could hear Sara's tone of voice holding back the upset. "I'll wait for you by the side of the road."
Max's lips thinned, laughing mockingly. "They follow you, honey. Just give me your address."
But the woman's stubbornness left Max chuckling. "You got snipers everywhere, am I worried about getting hurt?"
"Okay, now come down! I'm waiting for you by the side of the road."
"Eh?! Whatchu mean?"
"Not mean anything. Come down, or I'll flatten this place right now."
Max looks from inside the building Sara comes out in disheveled clothes, ripped trousers and a tangled shirt. It's obsolete anyway. Max's forehead was wrinkled, considering he had once banned Sara from wearing such clothes.
Max just shook his head slowly. It is not easy to change the habits of a stubborn wife. The more Sara got closer to him, Max's eyes caught someone following.
His lips lifted up, smirked thinly and watched the movements of the suspicious person.
"Dear, I miss you." Max says it out loud when Sara's in front of him. "Why are your clothes like this again?"
Max's eyes narrowed, looking at the change in his wife's expression. "Don't tell me you're still hiding things like this in our house?"
From his twisting eyes indeterminate, Max knew what Sara was thinking. "So?"
Sara rolled a lazy eyeball. He pulled Max's hand into the car.
"They've been following me since I left the house" Sara said as she pulled Max.
"You're aware of that? Then why didn't you call me?"
Sara shakes. "They haven't been able to attack me, maybe."
He showed me the gun he kept behind the shirt. And unexpectedly, Max pinched his forehead.
"Stupid, you can't just fight them. And this little gun of yours can be taken by them before you strike. Look at this worn-out shirt of yours, professional gangsters will instantly realize what you're hiding behind it."
Sara grimaces in pain, she looks in the rearview mirror. His forehead flushed. "Damn," he said.
"Eh, wait. I brought a motor here."
Sara held Max's hand to pull the lever.
"Just throw it away" replied Max.
"You're so easy to say, Max."
"Then what? That's troublesome."
Sara cones. He was about to get off but Max held back. "Lewis will take it for you."
Nodding in understanding, Sara stayed back in the car.
"What about Cladius now?" Sara asked curiously.
"He's preparing for Luci's funeral."
Sara's head nodded. Sadness was evident in his brown eyes despite his worried face being covered in a flat look.
He peeked through the rearview mirror as the car drove. The people who followed him disappeared. Either they're really gone or are looking for another way to stalk.

"They attacked my confidants first, Alex. Security for them. Don't forget about Peter and your lady. Maybe the next target is him."
Max looked at Alex who was standing in front of his desk. "Whatever happens do not hurt our prey. My woman wants that man's life."
"You sure you put it in front of the battlefield, Senor? It's dangerous especially Senora amateurs in this case," said Alex worried.
Max chuckles at hearing it. His index finger tapped on the table, and his eyeballs returned in anger.
"You heard, didn't you? The safest hiding place is the most dangerous place."
"You daydreaming? Damn it, go do your job before noon."
Before Alex actually left the room, the man stopped his steps for a moment and said, "I'm just worried about your wife, Senor. If only she was pregnant, it would be more dangerous for your baby."
A simple sentence capable of breaking through to Max's heart. The man stiffened, holding his thumping chest. There was something stifling there, but not sadness.
"Fucking alex."
But his lips smiled. If there really is a body that develops there, then he is the happiest man.
Her delusion soars, taking with her Sara and her baby who don't want her to know her gender. It passed for a very long time.
Max's lips continued to smile, making someone who had just gotten there frown at being confused with a frightened face.
"Sinor ...."
Max is still engrossed in his imaginary world. His eyes were open but the sighting of the person in front seemed to be just a meaningless object.
"Sinor ...." Once again Melanie called. But Max didn't say.
When Melanie ventured to knock on the table, Max blinked in shock. "You?! I've warned you so many times, Miss Dedeo, knock on the door before coming in" Max said angrily.
The woman in front of him was scared. But when consciousness takes over, Max throbs. Maybe it's her carelessness until Melanie's desperate.
"Why did you come in without knocking on the door?"
"I've done it, but Senor doesn't answer. I'm sorry, Senor ...."
Max could see Melanie's hands were shaking. In the past he always snapped and even fired employees who did not comply with the rules, maybe that makes Melanie tremble.
"Emm ... Okay, what made you come here?"
"There's a call from Palma, Senor."
"Why not connect to me?" Max is confused. His eyes looked at Melanie sharply.
"That's .., Mr. Peter said he wanted to speak privately to you, Senor. He called because Senor's phone couldn't be reached, as well as Senor Alex's. He just said that and hung up."
Max nodded. "You can go." Picking up his phone lying on the table, it was true that the flat object had not been activated.
"Thank you, Senor."
"Next time don't make the same mistake."
Boss is so. Wrong, but still not to blame. Max laughed at the pale face of his secretary.
"That's the luck of being the boss" he muttered later, then pressed his phone screen, calling Peter.
"Face ground, what are you doing? Why is your ugly phone inactive? Do you want to make me die of annoyance?!"
Max kept the phone away from his ear. Peter's sighing and shouting from there made the eardrum buzz.
"Hey, take care of your emotions, Peter, it's not good for your heart health. What made you call me?"
"Take me home to Madrid! I got word that Thompson's been deploying assassins to fight Dioses La Muerte. I have to take care of my daughter!"
Max grinned thinly. Peter's loud voice really made the ear hurt. "I can take good care of my wife, Peter. You just have to enjoy my wealth there" Max said proudly.
"Keep your word, damn it?! Don't make my son hold that damn thing! You have to pay with your life if he gets hurt!"
Once again Max chuckled.
"You can't pay for my son's happiness with such little wealth here. Command your pilot to take me home!"
A smile on Max's lips. Peter's concern for Sara warms his heart. His wife is not alone.
"What are you going to do to take care of Sara? By sacrificing yourself?"
"Don't guess, motherfucker!"
"Or kill Thompson? Unfortunately, my wife wants Thompson's head."
"Whataaa????!!!!!!"
Peter's scream makes Max turn off the unilateral connection. His ear drum was really buzzing.
"Damn it, it's old but the throat is still strong."
It's back on Max's lips. He turned off his phone so Peter wouldn't interfere anymore.
"I don't want you interrupting my plans, Peter. Stay there before it's all over."
