In a small village in the interior of Java, there is an old house known as a haunted house by most of the villagers. The house was abandoned for decades after its last owner mysteriously died. The cracked walls and worn doors add a haunted impression to the house. Some residents who dared to approach the house claimed to have heard strange sounds in it. However, the most sinister story is the story of a man named Slamet.
Slamet was a farmer who lived alone in the village. He lives not too far from the old house that is said to be haunted. Every Friday night Kliwon, when the drizzling rain falls, Slamet often hears the sound of someone calling his name. The voice was soft and creepy, as if asking Slamet to leave the house. However, Slamet was always reminded by the parents in his village to never leave the house when someone called on Kliwon Friday night.
One night on Kliwon Friday, a drizzling rain fell heavily. Slamet lay in his room, trying to sleep. However, the voice calling out to him grew louder and more seductive. Slamet felt something strange and decided not to go out. He knew that the stories about the old house might be true, and he did not want to face unimaginable danger.
But the sound did not stop. It was like a spell that haunted his mind. Slamet tries hard to ignore her, but something in her makes her feel tempted to get out of the house. After struggling with herself for a while, Slamet finally grabbed the door lock and opened the door of her house. He stepped out into an increasingly dense drizzle.
In the darkness of the night, Slamet saw an indistinct shadow figure standing in front of him. The figure looked like a woman, but her face was covered by her long hair that was wet from the rain. The voice called out to him grew louder, and Slamet felt like he was being pulled towards the woman.
With doubtful steps, Slamet approached the figure. He wanted to ask who the woman was and why she called him. However, the closer he got to that figure, the more clearly it became apparent that something unnatural was happening. The woman's face looked pale, her eyes wide open, and she constantly repeated the same words: "Come with me, Slamet."
Slamet felt fear and helplessness. He tried to turn around and go back inside his house, but the door of his house had closed by itself. He felt trapped. The woman gets closer to him, and Slamet is both scared and curious about what will happen next.
The woman approached Slamet slowly, and when she was in front of him, she grabbed Slamet's hand. The woman's hand felt cold and moist, like the hand of a corpse. Slamet tries to break away, but the woman's strength is stronger than she imagined.
"Who are you?" slamet shouted with a trembling voice.
The woman did not answer, but her eyes grew more and more terrifying. He tried to pull Slamet in a darker direction, towards the dark and dense forest. Slamet was terrified and panicked, he was eager to scream for help, but his voice was choked with fear.
The rain drizzled more and more, wetting Slamet's clothes and hair. But Slamet no longer cared about the weather. All he had in mind was how he could break away from this mysterious woman and avoid the terrible fate that seemed to await him.
Suddenly, a bright light appeared in the distance. It came from the direction of the dark and dense forest that the mysterious woman had shown. A huge fiery torch appeared, held by someone Slamet was unfamiliar with. They approached Slamet and the mysterious woman steadily.
The torch burned with a powerful flame, giving the mysterious woman illumination. His pale and hideous face was becoming more and more visible. His eyes looked bloody, and the wrinkles on his face gave off an impression of unreality. At that moment, Slamet saw that this woman was not human. He was an evil supernatural being, and this appearance was an undeniable reality.
Those carrying torches suddenly recited ancient spells that Slamet did not understand. The sound of the spell echoed in the dark night, creating a protective energy that surrounded them. The mysterious woman, who looked angry and frightened, tried to retreat, but her power was limited by those spells. He groaned and grumbled, trying to keep pulling the Slamet, but failed.
Those carrying torches approached him more closely and shouted holy words. The mysterious woman was then sucked into a burning torch. Slamet watched in horror as the woman vanished into the flames and disappeared, leaving only an unpleasant fishy smell in the air.
When Slamet was finally pulled back from the state of shock, he felt limp and tremble. Those who had saved him helped him stand up and make sure he was okay. They explained that they were members of the spiritual community in the village whose duty is to maintain and care for the energy around the old house, especially on dangerous nights such as Kliwon Friday night.
They explained that Slamet almost fell victim to the evil spirit that inhabited the old house. Tonight, they have been patrolling around the old house and detected the presence of a mysterious woman trying to seduce Slamet. Thanks to their spiritual knowledge, they know how to confront the supernatural and save Slamet from a terrible fate.
Slamet felt moved and grateful to those who had saved him. He also realizes that the spooky stories about the old house are real, and the dangers lurking on Kliwon Friday night are not a myth. He was determined to never again ignore warnings from parents in his village, not to go out when someone called on Kliwon Friday night.
