Short Stories Before Bed (Horror)
Books That Always Move

Since childhood, Amelia has been fascinated by ghosts and horror stories. In the living room of his grandmother's ancient house there is a shelf with a variety of old books on display. Every time it was passed, Amelia felt that a mysterious aura was clutching her. However, there was one book that always caught his eye, a book called "Mortality Transfer".

Every time Amelia passed the shelf, she felt as if the book was moving itself from one place to another. At first, Amelia thought it was just her imagination. However, the more the day, the phenomenon is becoming more and more. One night, Amelia decided to research the book more deeply.

He opened the first page of the book and instantly felt a bone-chilling cold air. Blushed coldly, Amelia is surprised to find a creepy narrative about a supernatural being coming out of the book and hitting her head. However, as he looked back, none of the creatures were visible. The thing that makes Amelia even more curious is the strange place where the book moved without her knowledge.

Amelia decides to experiment, and she puts a hidden camera on the bookshelf. He lets the cameras record overnight and little by little uncovers the mystery contained behind the book.

The next day, Amelia checked the camera footage and was flabbergasted to see a video of the book's movements. As it turned out, there was a white shadow coming out from inside the book and pushing the book elsewhere. The shadow disappeared as if it had become one with a dark night. Amelia gave a goosebump and felt as if her blood was frozen.

Through the recordings, Amelia traces the origin of the book. He discovers that the book "Mortality Transfer" was once owned by a famous author named Raymond Blackwood. The book was created when Raymond became obsessed with mystical stories of the past and tried to unite them in one book that he thought would be his best creation.

Amelia decides to trace Raymond Blackwood's footsteps to find out how to stop the book from moving. He did some research and discovered that Raymond died mysteriously shortly after finishing his famous book. Many speculations are circulating, some say he died due to the curse of one of the stories in the book itself.

In the solitude of this house, Amelia feels that something is loving her around every corner. He finds an old journal belonging to Raymond that contains his personal notes on a crazy experiment to create a book with supernatural powers. Raymond managed to connect the real world and the magical world, but he could not stop his power from controlling him.

Amelia becomes increasingly convinced that these books have terrifying powers. The power drew those who knew him into a merciless darkness. With fear rising, Amelia tried to get away from the house, but the books seemed to call out to her from within.

Unwittingly, Amelia gets caught up in a mysterious game involving these death books. He must find a way to stop the influence of the books before they trap him in eternal horror. Amelia decides to muster up the courage and use the knowledge she gets from Raymond's journal to fight the havoc that surrounds her.

With a pounding heart, Amelia faced every horror story contained in the books. He uncovers old mysteries, defies evil spirits, and faces the darkness within himself. Through a stressful and exhausting journey, Amelia learns that her battle against the book is not just for herself, but to save anyone who does not know the dangers she faces.

Finally, after going through a series of deadly obstacles, Amelia manages to find a way to free the books from her evil influence. With joy, he felt the burden haunting his mind slowly dissipate. The books became simply a collection filled with science and art, without the dark power they once had.

Amelia realized that great power could also come from within herself. He kept the books as a reminder of his adventures and as a reminder that nothing is stronger than the courage of someone to fight the darkness. With a spooky story about books that always move by themselves, Amelia finds courage and wants to continue exploring the supernatural world that had brought her to the point of darkness.
