Short Stories Before Bed (Horror)
Old Stall

It was a very cold night on a remote mountain peak. Thick fog enveloped the surroundings, making it a place so quiet that you could hear your own heartbeat. Mamat, an experienced climber, feels fascinated by the beauty of the surrounding forest, though when night falls, he realizes that he has lost his way. He tried to turn on his phone, but there was no signal. When panic began to envelop him, something unexpected happened.

Amidst the darkness, Mamat saw a faint light in the distance. It was almost like the glint of a human eye, but he was unsure. Mamat decided to follow that light, the only clue he had in such a dark situation.

The closer he got to that light, the clearer it seemed that it was the light from a small stall. The stall looked old and worn out, like something was lost in the past. When he entered the stall, he felt as if he had been trapped in time.

Inside, the stall was very different from what he had expected. It felt like a vast sky with stars plastered across the night sky, and the ground was shaped like a very lush forest. Behind the old wooden table, an old woman with long white hair and shining eyes sat down. He smiled at Mama and greeted her.

"Welcome, young man," he said in a soft voice. "You look tired. Sit down, order something."

The exhausted and confused Mamat, followed the woman's advice and sat down at a wooden table that felt magical. He ordered a cup of tea, and when the drink arrived, it was so warm and uplifting. The woman continued in a friendly manner, "You might be wondering how you got here."

Mamat nodded while sipping his tea. "Yes, I'm lost. But how could there be a stall in the middle of a forest so remote as this?"

The woman smiled again, "This stall has its own way of finding those who are lost and need a place to rest. But of course, there's a price to pay."

Mamat felt that there was something strange about this stall, but he was too tired to think about it further. He asked, "How long do I have to stay here?"

The woman simply smiled and did not answer Mamat's question. As if time had lost meaning within this stall, Mamat did not know how long he had been here. Time passed by in a strange way, like very quickly, and Mamat felt he had become a part of this stall.

During the time he spent in the stall, he started hearing strange stories from the woman. The story of this forest full of supernatural creatures, about the people lost forever in it, and about this stall that appears to save them. The stories further add to Mamat's fear and uncertainty.

The night changed day, the day changed night, and Mamat kept trying to get out of this stall, but it always failed. When he tried to get out, he always went back to the table where he was sitting earlier, as if this stall had the supernatural power to keep people inside.

Mamat felt increasingly losing his mind. He knew that he had to figure out a way to escape from this stall, but every attempt he made ended up in vain. He felt like the woman, who did not seem to be aging, had control over his fate.

One day, while he was pondering, he saw something shocking. In the distance, he saw a group of climbers who also seemed to be lost. They were approaching this stall, attracted by the faint light that illuminated the night sky. Mamat shouted towards them, shouting to warn them of the lurking danger.

But suddenly he saw something that made him stop. He looked at their faces, and was surprised to see that they were his friends who had been missing for quite some time.

That night, when Mamat saw his lost friends, he felt confused and frightened. They don't look like their old friends. They looked calm, their faces expressionless, and their eyes were blank, as if they had lost all of their emotions and identity.

His friends only smiled at him, not a friendly smile, but a strange and frightening smile. Mamat tried to talk to them, trying to evoke memories of the past, but there was no response. They were just sitting around a wooden table inside the stall, like being controlled by something.

Mamat felt his heart pounding hard. He did not want his friends to be trapped inside this stall like him. He felt responsible for finding a way out for all of them. With a strong determination, he again tried to find a way out.

Every day he observed his friends who were like there was no expression, and every day he tried to find a gap that might lead to freedom. He talked to them, trying to remind them of life outside this stall, but his efforts always failed. His friends only answered with blank smiles and blank eyes.

During the time he spent inside this stall, he continued to hear strange stories from the old woman. The story of a forest inhabited by unseen supernatural beings, about the people lost forever in it, and about this stall that appears to save them. The stories become more terrifying with each passing day, and Mamat feels increasingly obsessed with the mystery of this stall.

He tried to gather clues about how this stall worked. He talked to the old woman, asking about the origins of the stall and how to get out. The woman never gave adequate answers, always speaking in riddles and proverbs. Mamat felt increasingly frustrated, but she knew she had to keep looking for answers.

The night changed day, the day changed night, and Mamat kept trying to get out of this stall. He tries to devise a plan carefully, looking for small signs that might lead him to freedom. However, every attempt he had always ended up in vain.

One dark night, as he thought, he saw something that surprised him. In the distance, in the middle of the thick forest, he saw a strange flash of light. The light glittered like a star, and it was as if it was a clue.

Mamat felt a strong urge to follow that light. He felt that this was his last chance to get out of this stall and take his friends with him. He left the stall and entered the forest, following the increasingly shining light.

However, this journey was not an easy one. The forest felt increasingly dark and trapped him in a complicated labyrinth. Strange sounds and terrifying shadows began to appear around him. Mamat felt like there was something she loved inside this forest, something she did not want to achieve her goal.

He felt desperate and tired, but he could not give up. He continued to follow that light, passing through the obstacles and dangers that appeared in his path. He felt like he was being tested by a mysterious force that tested his determination.

Finally, after a long and exhausting struggle, he achieved his goal. The light led him to a path that looked brighter and more open. Mamat stepped forward with a thumping heart, and when he looked back, he was surprised to see that the stall suddenly disappeared, leaving behind only a dark and silent forest.

Mamat was relieved and happy. He knew that he had managed to escape from the mysterious stall and find a way out. However, he could not feel completely happy. He felt sad and guilty because of his friends who were still trapped inside the stall.

He knew he had to come back to try to save them. With a strong determination, he re-entered the forest and followed in his footsteps that he had made before. He knew that he had to bring his friends out of the stall, no matter what was blocking him.

Mamat walked through the dark forest and danger, and finally, he again arrived in front of the mysterious stall. However, when he entered, he found that his friends were no longer there. The stall was as quiet as a stall that was long taken care of and the mysterious old woman also disappeared.

Mamat was confused and surprised. He searched for his friends, but they had disappeared without a trace. He felt sad and devastated, but he also felt relieved to have managed to escape from the stall.

From that day on, Mamat never again climbed a mountain or set foot in a remote forest. He knew that somewhere in the forest, the mysterious stall was possible
