The sound of the knocking sounded soft, but it was clearly heard. There was a sound of people knocking on my door. The sound of that knock forced me to wake up.

At that time, it was still morning. Outside, the sky was still dark and the streets were still quiet. I looked next to me, looking at Brother Luni who was still asleep.

The knocking of the door was heard again.

"Who knocked on my door so early in the morning?" alit thought in his heart. He hesitated to open the door.

Me, mom, dad, and Kak Luni decided to spend their school holidays in a quiet little town. We have been here several times, because the atmosphere is very different from the frenetic big city. But, still this small town began to wriggle to develop following the direction of the big city.

Along the main road, many hotels are famous among tourists. But, small hotels can still survive, because many people also choose small hotels because of the cheap rent.

By then, it was almost afternoon. We found a hotel that was not very big. From the highway, the two-story hotel still looks like new. On the first floor, there is a reception office that serves the various needs of hotel guests. Starting from the room key, rental prices, to all kinds of other purposes. On the top floor there are several rooms. The rooms on the second floor were only built some time ago. However, there are also old rooms that have not been renovated, located in the large area of land at the back of this building. The vast land is also at once a parking lot surrounded by rooms. From the reception office, I could catch a glimpse of the rooms.

The new rooms located on the second floor were already fully filled. We were given the keys to the old room in the back. The keys are numbered 505 and 506. I will sleep in room with Kak Luni in room 505, while mama and papa will spend the night in room 506. Although old, the room looks very comfortable because it is in an open space. Guests can sit on the green land in front of the room while enjoying the fresh air.

We got in the car to the room and passed the security guard post. Arriving in front of the room, we immediately prepared the key given by the receptionist. As soon as I entered the room, I was a little surprised. Apparently, the room is quite spacious. There was a large bed, a long sofa, and also a bathroom inside. Stay comfortable, even though I can smell the damp aroma of the old building in the room.

I went into the room around 20:00. We went for a walk and had dinner outside before we checked in at the hotel. So as soon as I saw the mattress, I jumped and lay on it. Not feeling, I was asleep too.

I woke up at four o'clock in the morning because of that knock. Besides being afraid, it is lazy to open the door. At first, I let the sound of that knock, and tried to go back to sleep. But the sound of that knocking was heard again.

“Tok..tok...tok.

This time, the sound of the knock was louder, but it remained slow. The beats this time are also longer.

“Tok...tok...tok...tok...tok...tok....”.

I wanted to wake up Kak Luni who was still fast asleep, but I did not have the heart. Carefully, I walked towards the door. The floor was cold as my feet touched it. I also walked on a little tiptoe.

When I stopped at the door, the sound of knocking was heard again. I turned the key slowly. I was thinking, is it maybe papa or mama who knocks on the door? Despite the hesitation, I ventured to open it.

The door opened, and I saw

a man who turned his back on me. I thought he was papa. But his body was thin and tall, in contrast to papa who was rather full. Unsure, I still called him.

The man was silent, not answering. Then, I opened the door wider so that I could see it more clearly. Then, he turned back his body. It was then that my whole body felt stiff looking at his pale face and his creepy eyes. He then leaned over and held my right arm roughly.

I immediately realized and found the courage to let go of my hand. Several times, I also tried to push her body out of the room to be seen by the people outside.

But outside was also still quiet because the sky was still dark. I tried harder to pull my hand off the creature. Not yet managed to escape, I was surprised by Brother Luni who called me.

"Alit, what?!" Said Brother Luni. He was seen still sitting on his bed.

The man just disappeared. I don't know where it went or how. No more long fingers clutching my right arm. I slammed the door shut.

"Sir Luni loi no, who was that??" ask me with a panic note.

"Who what? There is no Alit. Maybe you're delirious!" Said Brother Luni. "I slept again, yeah. Still sleepy. Don't be banging on doors, other guests will be distracted."

Luni sister returned to her original position, with a blanket covering her to the neck. While I was still staring at the door. Still not believing and not knowing about the incident that just happened. Could he be just a prankster? Or was he the bad guy who wanted to kidnap me? But if he's a 'person', didn't Kak Luni see him? She was clearly pulling my hand until half of her body went into the room!

Ah, never mind.I don't want to take a headache and decide to go back to sleep. Just one step away from the door, the sound of knocking was heard again. Slow and smooth.

This time, I decided to go to bed. I covered my body up to my head with a blanket. The sound of knocking sounded louder and more intense. Luni didn't wake up, and I tried to let her go and hope I fall asleep quickly.

A few minutes later, I could hear the door of the room creaking slowly open. From under my blanket, I could see a black shadow coming from the door leading towards me. I was scared, a little bit trembling. The shadow had the same posture as the man who pulled my arm earlier. I closed my eyes, trying to ignore him. But I can't. My curiosity is bigger!

I opened my eyes and turned slowly towards the door. This time, the door was closed again and the room was empty as usual.

"He's gone" I said with relief.

I removed the blanket from my head, and turned towards Kak Luni. That's where I saw the creature lying in the middle between me and Kak Luni. He stared at me with his eyes burning. I never cried, I suddenly woke up from my sleep. It was already bright outside, and the time had shown it at 8 am.

"Marry dreams?" I asked in my heart.

Suddenly Brother Luni greeted me.

"Met morn. Finally wake up! Papa nanya just now, why did Alit slam the door this morning blind? Basic Alit, not at home, not at the hotel, really hobby banging doors," said Kak Luni teasing me.

Then that was not a dream? I could only stare at the thought of the creepy figure that was next to me back then.

"Destroyed is my holiday" I said in my heart.
