Secret Alit

Secret Alit
The Mystery Behind the Mass - Part 1

In the early hours of the morning, while grandparents were still living in the old house, the sound of clanging sounded loud. People screamed waking up the citizens living around him to standby. The sound of fire engine sirens also added to the crowds that morning. The highly skilled and deft officers had saved the surrounding houses from being hit by the fire. Luckily, the wind just blew and did not blow hard. So, the flames can be controlled very quickly.

In the middle of the crowd, there was an outpouring of concern for the calamity that had just happened. There were also among those who were just looking around out of curiosity about the incident.

"Resto was not renovated for a year, now it's burned down. Poor, yes," said one resident.

"How much loss did he suffer? Yes, very sorry for the owner" replied one resident.

"There must be a lot of loss, the furniture and cooking equipment will be expensive," said another.

"The fire is gone."

"Thankfully there were no casualties."

"People working at the resto got it all out."

"It was fortunate that the restaurant was not terraced and there was only one floor, so one could directly scatter out."

That was the conversation of the people who gathered. Some people who are still curious, gossiping and commenting with their respective perceptions of the incident. Although there were no fatalities, but people counted the material losses suffered by their owners.

Grandma did not see the disaster that happened near her old house. He heard her detailed story from an old man who used to be a close neighbor of his grandmother. By residents, he got the nickname Old Man as an elder or respected person. He is famous as a 'smart' who has a science of clenics. Reportedly the Old Man was pursuing klenik since young. His house is always crowded with people who want to find solutions to their problems.

Grandma also told me about the strange incident experienced by the Old Man. One day, Grandma and Grandpa decided to go out of town. Going to leave home, especially to get out of town, certainly takes a few days. They are worried about leaving their house empty. Especially, who will take care of the favorite knee of grandfather and also water the plants at home?

The old man was a close friend of grandfather's, and happened to also live near the house. Therefore, grandfather asked for his help to take care of the knee birds for a week when their house was empty. Old man was happy to be cheered on by a knee. He likes the knee. When grandfather left his knee, Old Man thought he could learn to take care of it before maintaining his own knee.

Grandfather also felt relieved that someone would take care of his favorite knee. Apparently, not everyone is willing to take care of the knee. The reasons vary, such as lazy, not painstaking, and so forth. There are also people who do not want to take care of the knee because of the myth of the knee. Some people believe that the knee is an animal that has a relationship with the supernatural.

This mystical story of the knee bird makes some people so desperate to keep it. They are afraid that if the kneeler does not like or does not fit him, then they will be stricken or unlucky. In fact, in Javanese culture and according to some people, many believe that the knee bird has an important meaning in human life. The bearer of luck.

Since the Old Man was ready to take care of his knee, grandfather was relieved. He was also excited to leave town.

"It's a good thing there's Old Man, so I don't have to rush home" said grandfather. "I asked for a week to take care of that knee."

Grandma and Grandpa were gone for five days. The journey home took a long time a new night to get home.

On the sixth day, Grandpa went to Old Man's house. Arriving at the house, Old Man seemed to be shoved into the front yard to meet the grandfather who was still standing at the gate.

"Why Sir? Any issues?" Ask grandpa.

"This, sir, is the bird" replied the Old Man, pointing to his knees in a cage hanging from the porch of his house.

"It's been a good gig, right?" Grandfather said with a smile to boast of his beloved bird.

"Yes, the show is good," said the Old Man.

"If you still want to enjoy the chirping, nothing, tomorrow or the day after I take it," said grandfather.

"I have a problem with the knee" said the Old Man.

"Why? Seriously Sir?" said grandpa.

"Yes, seriously," said the Old Man.

"How's the story, sir?" ask nakek.

Then, the Old Man told me about his experience. Apparently, he dreamed of the knee. In his dream, he was busy whistling to train his knees, suddenly the knee eyes turned fierce.

His eyes looked red and glared. His wings stretched out and prepared to attack Old Man. It seemed to think of him as an enemy to be destroyed.

"Hi. Although it was a dream, but it was as if it was real and imprinted on my mind," said the Old Man as he shuddered and revealed the fur of his standing arm.

Grandpa looked sad when he heard it. He felt guilty, but it was beyond his expectations. When he received the knee, Old Man also looked happy. The bird was indeed beautiful, both the feathers and the sound.

"Grandmother knows what kind of knee it is?" I cut out Grandma's story.

"Yes. It's called Knee Kuturah" he replied.

***

The old man said many people believed that the knee-deep bird would choose its own owner. That is why, Old Man believes, his dream is a sign that the bird does not want to stay in his house. If forced, it would wreak havoc on him and his family.

***

"Well..is that right, Grandma?" I was shocked to hear it.

"Yes, if it is suitable, it will bring good luck to its owner" said the grandmother, showing a picture of a bird on its knees.

That said, the knee is a rare species. People call it knee-grand, because other birds always provide food for the knee-grandmother. So their food will come by itself from another bird, like a king with an army of foragers. For this reason, the name of the kutut lurah is attached to his name.

Perkut lurah is favored by many people because of its beauty. In addition, many myths from mystical experiences occur in the crowd, so the bird is very popular and timeless. Mystical stories will always exist.

In addition to being amazed by its beauty, some people also believe this burunt will bring good luck. Especially if you can train him to be a bird with a melodious voice.

The wall clock has shown at 17:15. I also want to rush to the front yard to water the flowers of Luni kak.

"Granny's story is connected tomorrow, yes" said Grandma.
